Actually, companies AREN'T people, nor COMPRIZED of people, they are OWNED by people. Take Koch Industries, which is owned by Charles and David Koch. That companies profits don't go to shareholders, like in a CORPORATION, they go to those two brothers.
Now, contrast this w/News Corp. (which is a family company masquerading as a corporation) and, say...Google (which is a corporation). Corporations ARE comprised of people...but they aren't people in themselves. Just our bought-ass,
I agree, corporations are not persons. Is it okay to protest actual people? YES! We protest public figures all the time (as does TYT). Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, the Koch brothers, Barack Obama, George W. Bush and every major and many minor candidates for president for the last several years since they've been around... last I checked those were all persons, not corporations. so people are allowed to protest Cenk Unger, even if you think they're a-holes for doing so
@Packerd01 - OK, I watched the link you posted in your reply and I've seen Andrew Klavan speaking before & I disagree with most of his views...I much prefer Cenk & his team anytime!
Besides OWS is predominately about corporate & political synergistic corruption (not about nazi's)....I despise any form of extremism (left or right), but if those nazis want to join in the condemnation of the failed financial system, then OK (but understand this, they can't undermine the original message of OWS)!
So I'm not on this guy's side, obviously, but at the same time it's hypocritical to say he should be arrested or beat up, when at the same time defending the other protestors. Doesn't matter if you agree with Cenk. He has no special rights here to be protected from the free speech of "hecklers." notice it's not Cenk who is saying this, just misguided people who aren't at the protest.
Of course listen to TYT with a grain of salt. No single entity could possibly truly represent all interests of the masses. But, when they're trying to support you and give you coverage at a time when mainstream media is discrediting and ignoring you, don't be an ass about it.
They still have to make money and advertise to fund the coverage they give, like ANY business, but they're not using their influence to sabotage your movement. Even Cenk is unlikely to be in the 1%
listen to you people... arrest the guy, beat him up? you're one step away from agreeing with the big banks and corporations. send in the cops, club them in the face, pepper spray 'em, and drag them away. that'll teach people to disagree with businesses and money. Oh I get it, it's okay so long as it happens to people you disagree with.
so why don't you go over to the protest yourself and punch the guy for talking while TYT was talking. see if Cenk and everyone else there approves of your actions on their behalf. somehow I imagine they'll be less than pleased. gotta love internet tough guys
@arex20 1. OWS protesters are not big fans of Obama either. 2. Before Dodd-Frank, Wall Street donations tilted about 60/40 for Democrats. Take a look at donations AFTER Dodd-Frank. opensecrets(dot)org/industries /contrib(dot)php?cycle=2012&in d=F So far, donations in the 2012 election cycle: Goldman Sachs 72% donations to Republicans American Bankers Assoc. 73% to Republicans Bank of America 69% to Republicans Morgan Stanley 67% to Republicans Wells Fargo 65% to Republicans
1. Wow, that explains why nobody's protesting Obama or his administration
2. Sure, Goldman Sachs who donated 75% to DNC, Morgan Stanley 59%, Bank of America 56% already got their money's worth (x1,000,000) or trillions of dollars in bailout money. Who the fuck care anymore?
Probably not now that Goldman Sachs is the new Scarlet Letter. Whomever gets the biggest donations from Goldman Sachs is doomed. (In which case, maybe they WANT Obama and Warren to win! *Goes into the Wallace Shawn routine from The Princess Bride.*)
@TrollBuster9090 Really? The candidate with the biggest donations are doomed? You can't be serious. I hate to break this to you, but most Americans have never even heard of Goldman Sachs, let alone know what they are. They don't watch the news, they don't care about current events, and they're just not that smart to be frank.
I know a lot of people who are convinced the world will end soon, Obama created the national debt, he's trying to take away the guns, etc.
@TrollBuster9090 It's sad, but you need to face facts and help to fight this complacency. You and I are NOT the majority. Do you know who Mitch McConnell is? Of course you do. But how many others do? 25% of America can't even name the VP! We need to acknowledge the problem and find solutions to it, not pretend it's better than it is.
@theymightbe1984 yea the guy shouting in the background is highly annoying.Anyone know who he is? random heckler or with the ows movement? cheers in advance
i think if there is a heckler Cenk should take him/her in front of the camera. Let them explain their problem with TYT and have a conversation about it. I really would like to see that.
$10 says that heckler in the background is a Ron Paul supporter, and he's just angry that TYT doesn't blindly follow the anti-war guy when they are anti-war.
Dumbass heckler things cameras are free I guess. Or he wants his news only to be made by the major networks or something. "Take money from Google!" Idiot.
Moron, you did not present anything different, infact you did not present anything at all. More so , you completely missed the point of the sign. Fail on so many levels but as i said never mind, nothing will get through to you. Do you even realise why i called you captain obvious? lol @ "all those who think differently"... as if you are thinking.
Could anybody please just punch that guy in the face. Do i have to be everywhere? The Show is not about which asshole thinks he can yell louder than the host. This guy's trying to pull a Jay Leno, Get your own fucking talk show.
@bunkmasterflex freedom of speech only for talk show hosts, I agree. if you have to use violence against people for heckling. I guess you have to do what you have to do, right?
Oh yeah, you better be kidding. I'm being sarcastic

That's *awesome* (Cenk voice) Cenk. That's where real change begins, with understanding. Civil conversations and understanding of each others' view points.
That heckler in the background said: "TYT are pretending to be popular"! & he said "Your owned by Google"! and he also said: " All you Young Turks should be ashamed of yourselves"!....
But I love how a girl in the background was telling him to shut-up and that he should be ashamed of himself, not TYT!
@12235117657598502586 I say GO GIRL TOO!! TYT, Cenk and Ana criticize Google all the time, and for serious stuff regarding privacy. That douche should WATCH TYT first then draw conclusions.
@12235117657598502586 These hecklers are plants, I'm sure of it. There was one for Ed when he visited, too (Ed Schultz). I don't love the guy but he's definitely one of the good guys, and clearly the heckler just wanted to prevent him from getting his message across.
But it's THEIR show they have the right not to be heckled on THEIR show if he tried to go into fox studios and say that he would be thrown out on his ass.
Everyone has the right to free speech but that doesn't mean anyone has to be listening or even give a fuck.
@Leadman1989 they're shooting in an open public space, so they can't tell everyone within earshot what to do, can they? at least nobody has to listen. so it's not the same as if they were shooting in their own studios and somebody barged in without permission to interrupt a scheduled broadcast. the heckler, annoying as you might find him, has just as much right to speak as anyone else.
@Leadman1989 so then you arrest ALL these people who are protesting wallstreet, harassing big business and "disturbing the peace" with their grievances. Cenk doesn't get special rights just because he has a TV show. as the man seems to believe in free speech, he'd be ashamed of your "support."
Big business isn't a PERSON where do you go to harass ge, and if you recall I said "at some point". YES if they were destroying property. If fox news was shooting outside and some A hole tried to bomb all their shots either their security or the cops would deal with him. Like I said just because you have free speech doesn't mean anyone has to listen or give a fuck go have your free speech to an audience that cares.
@Leadman1989 last I checked, TYT is a business, hence protesting them is the same as protesting JP Morgan Chase or Goldman-Sachs or Wal-Mart. the First Amendment doesn't protect your speech against some companies but not against others. so a guy heckling Cenk has the same rights Cenk or anyone at Occupy Wallstreet does, sorry.
@Leadman1989: Is this man "destroying property" by heckling Cenk? Is this heckling "a shooting outside" what do you mean "trying to bomb all their shots"? if a reporter goes into a crowd of protesters and starts talking in front of a camera, and somebody heckles the reporter, then the heckler should be beat and arrested? You don't understand free speech, clearly. it doesn't matter if you agree with him. you don't have a right not to be offended.
@Leadman1989. let's put it another way. let's say you go to a Tea Party protest and stand behind Glenn Beck and yell at him that he's a liar and a shill for goldline. so since nobody there cares to hear what you have to say, and Glenn Beck represents a business, you should be beat and arrested and hauled away, because nobody cares what you have to say. the first amendment protects the crowd from your unpopular speech? what kind of a bizzaro world do you live in where that would make sense?
@Leadman1989. point is that the entire group is there to protest some businesses. if the principle is that heckling is wrong and not protected speech, then the entire protest (even if peaceful) is illegitimate and should be broken up and driven off or put in jail. I'm sure the business people who are being protested don't want to hear the message of the protesters. so using your logic, they should be protected from the "heckling" of these occupiers. but you don't apply your own logic.
@Leadman1989. let's look at another example, from a group everybody hates.. the Westboro Baptist church. let's say they want to picket a church and preach their message ("God hates America"). so they do that and they're protected. but let's say somebody from the church is offended and wants to yell back at the protestors. suddenly this "Heckler" doesn't have free speech and should be hauled off and arrested, because the Phelps people don't want to hear the heckler? free speech for all, rather.
@Leadman1989 hundreds, thousands of people are employed by those businesses. do you think those people mind being protested? of course they mind. they have to walk past the protestors on their way to work, surely. they see the crowds in front of their buildings on tv. TYT isn't a "person" either. so if somebody wants to protest TYT, they have that right. you can't just say what the "heckler" is doing isn't free speech, but what everyone else is doing is.
1. That's NOT what I meant by Big business isn't a person and you know it. Of course companies are COMPRISED of people but they aren't people. There's a difference between protesting TYT and yelling at cenk.
2. If those people were a part of reverse redlining and selling toxic assets and ripping people off then YES they deserve to be protested. We should also be protesting Washington too but this is a good start. This country needs a revolution hopefully this is just the beginning!
@Leadman1989 he represents a business and he's a public figure. so he can be heckled just like any other host (glenn beck, bill o'reilly, rush limbaugh, pick any con you don't like).
I'm not objecting to the protest. I'm objecting the principle people are using to justify saying the guy should be beat up and arrested for heckling a tv show presenter in the middle of a public protest.
I know what our disagreement is about please don't insult my intelligence. The point is that he does have free speech but his liberties end where someone elses begin also free speech isn't a catch all some speech is indeed limited. At what point do you think it become harassment when he's two inches away from his ear screaming? Threatening violence? People only tolerate this kind of harassment because getting rid of it is more trouble than it's worth.
@Leadman1989 I don't see the difference. is heckling a public speaker not also free speech? Protest is impeding the usual function of something or someone, hence picketing, protesting, chanting during a speech, even heckling. maybe it's bad manners, but it's not illegal. hence if this man were to be suppressed by force, it would be a violation of his own first amendment rights, whether he's 1 man or 10,000 people. people on here were saying he should be punched or arrested for heckling.
@Leadman1989 if the point is "don't interfere with business" (Cenk is representing an online TV show, the young turks, which is a business) then you should be in favor of people who protest fox news or any other reporter or media group (Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc) getting arrested for interfering. just because Cent Unger is "less popular" than these guys doesn't matter. if it were John Stossel or Fred Phelps getting heckled, it doesn't matter. they all get free speech
@Leadman1989, I forgot one thing. You might argue that Cenk is part of the "press" and therefore he has freedom of the press and by heckling him you're taking away his free speech rights. but that's silly. does free speech mean you can't publicly disagree with someone or protest their opinion? so then the Westboro Baptist Church when they come to picket a funeral of a dead soldier, and the bikers come out to counter protest WBC, you arrest the bikers?
@Leadman1989. Another thing is that Cenk isn't just there as a journalist reporting what's going on, he's actively participating as well (see the "Wolf-PAC") videos. now you might say that in this particular case he's acting as a reporter, but he's also giving his clear opinions in support of the movement. in any case, his being heckled doesn't stop him from reporting, anymore than heckling Sarah Palin during a rally takes away her free speech as a private citizen running for office.
@Leadman1989. Even if Cenk Unger isn't as famous as Glenn Beck, he's a public figure. Even if you never watched youtube, you'd know that he was a presenter on MSNBC for awhile. and he's now a leader/founder of a PAC. So criticizing Cenk is free speech, whether you like it or not. Criticizing TYT is free speech, and so is criticizing OWS. Free speech isn't just protecting popular speech or anti-establishment speech. otherwise we're saying only people with money/popularity get free speech.
@Leadman1989. If this guy were throwing rocks at Cenk and threatening to attack with violence, that would be different, but he's not. it's no different than if somebody yelled during a speech or made fun of a reporter on the street. it happens all the time. I'm glad you're passionate about OWS. I am too. but we don't start taking away people's free speech just because they're not on "our side." besides, what's one heckler going to do? stop the entire movement in its tracks? Cenk isn't the leader
Heckling is just a nice way of saying harassing. He can have all the free speech he wants but no one has to listen. I'm not agreeing with the people that say beat him up but his free speech rights aren't taken away just because he doesn't have a show. If no one wants to hear his crap then that's no ones fault.
@Leadman1989 how about "protesting"? just a nice way of saying "mass heckling."
Of course no one has to listen, and so you're free to ignore this guy if you want. My point there was that those saying he's guilty of harassment (and should be arrested) are favoring the free speech of a tv show over an person without one. it'd be no different if it were somebody heckling Howard Stern or Bubba the Love Sponge.
Well yes we're trying to harass them and get something done, it's peaceful, so far.
I think he is harassing them is it bad enough for him to be arrested? If tyt moved and he followed them and they had security and made stop his free speech is in no way violated.
@Leadman1989 sure, if he ran up to Cenk and assaulted him that would be different. Are protesters allowed to shout others down or interrupt speeches?
why is there "security" there to remove anyone disrupting a protest? (which by definition would be a counter protest, hence, another protest, with free speech rights, they don't need a permit to criticize TYT)
If he followed tyt around whether they had security or not that would definitely be harassment. I think we should just agree to disagree because I think you're getting slightly confused as to what I mean and I'm just tired of this discussion no offense I'm sure you are too.
@Leadman1989 so if you really believe in free speech, you tolerate this guy just like you tolerate people who support occupy wallstreet or counter protest the tea party or heckle Glenn Beck. don't just support free speech when its for a cause you happen to agree with. you can disagree with the guy, shout louder than him, make fun of him, etc. but you don't side with people who say "beat him up" or "arrest him for heckling" as people have in this channel thread
@Leadman1989, perhaps you can show me where in the first amendment it says that people with TV shows have a right "not to be heckled" and deserve police intervention to stop someone contradicting what they say. if you think this guy should be arrested and hauled off by the cops, then you'd be hypocritical to defend the REST of the occupy protests, since you can make the same argument there, that they're heckling businesses who are trying to do their jobs.
nobody has to listen to the heckler. but see what you just implied there. if you get to yell at the heckler "shut up" and shout him down, then it's okay for the reverse... people can try to shout down OWS supporters as well. if free speech means you can debate and heckle, then it extends to everyone, not just people in support of a certain cause. counter protest is still protected, as long as its not violent.
My Turkish Friend, it seems you also misunderstand the occupy movement. People want equality in the pursuit of happiness. As a nation, we have more than enough "Human Capital" taht woul allow us to create a new much more abundant system under God's Law. Our soil is fertile! We can make the World anything we imagine. The protestestors dont want good 9-5 jobs...thats slavery..its 33% of your life. Maybe a new system where everyone worked 3 solid hours to provide for all needs. GodBless.
Unfortunately, the numbers from 1953 are misleading. Cenk fails to realize that in 1953, the US was basically the only game in town.
BMW, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Rolls Royce, etc, the industries of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and basically every other industrial nation on earth were in ruins. The US had NO COMPETITION. The global market share was nearly 100%
This is 2011. Japan is no longer a freshly nuked smoldering ruin. Germany is no longer behind a wall.
The current state of the USA disgusts me.The entire reason this country was formed in the first place was to break away from tyranny and oppression of England.. And now we are in a worse condition than prior to the war of independence... Congress needs to be wiped clean and replaced with the PEOPLE and The Constitution must remain the supreme law.. Now laws passed since the formation of this country should overpower the Constitution.. or else we have corruption and continued oppression.
@BeBopDeluxe85 Speaking as a British citizen (canadian), the irony is that in many ways, the US would have been better off if they'd remained loyal. US ended slavery in 1865, for example, while Britain ended it in 1833, three decades earlier, which is why the Underground Railroad ended in Ontario.
@Shonenut213 - Yea, nobody paid 92%, they may have dodged half of those taxes, but today, they dodge ALL of them! We have the proof! GE as an example, paid nothing, and there are scores of others. The point is, power controls legislation, not votes. So as power ruled out more and more tax liability, there is nothing left but their massive bank accounts, their greed, and scores of highly educated unemployed.
"Well, when I turn on the television, that's what I see"
Can't you think for yourself? Don't people understand that the messages on TV have been carefully crafted for them? What they are seeing is not real, factual information. What happened to not believing everything you see on TV, just because you heard it? "Sigh*
I don't know where this money will be ultimately be going or how much of it will line the pockets of administrators, but i want to be part of a nameless, faceless lump of cash that will be used to enslave me and my children.
IF Arabs can achieve and get away with their oppressors and greedy dictator set-up, why can't we? R v less than any country's human population in IQ and grit?
That guy with the sign is the DUMBEST protester there. The correlation between tax rates and unemployment exists, but that has nothing to do with the CAUSE of the difference.
@romanmir01 the board was response to the republican and democrats that keep saying that tax cuts to rich generate employment. The board doesnt imply direct and immediate relationship. its simply saying facts say otherwise.
@sushanalone tax cuts to the rich DO generate more employment. How do you know where unemployment would be today if it wasn't for the tax cuts?
But the problem is that tax cuts together with INCREASE in gov't spending is actually a tax increase! It's just it's a DEFERRED tax increase and the current difference is in all that counterfeit currency.
The REAL tax is INFLATION tax. You can't say you cut taxes but then increase consumption and PRINT the difference - that is a tax INCREASE.
The guy you met is "turning on Fox News"...or the ones you left out, like CNN and MSNBC. They're all reporting the mixed messages from the protestors.
Banks ruined the economy. So why has blame shifted to the Greek people? Why are they the scapegoat for this economic mess? Shouldn't the banks that cause it be the ones to blame?
I'm no audio engineer but I think JR needs to EQ around the 4MHz level to bring down the volume of that asshole in the background. Or get someone to sock him in the jaw. Ether way works.
Alright so this just goes to prove once again that only TYT is the best, you don't see other "news" stations try to get stories like this out, that was an amazing story!
i think he should stand somewhere else next time! I wouldn't be able to keep my cool with a load of idiots standing around getting in the way of someone trying to highlight and help the situation
Look at the time when America was at its best, and then look at the policies that were in place at the time. Also, look at the long term effects from before that time that caused the economy to flourish like it did.
And I'm not saying win a fucking world war, because that's a bad idea. But you see what i'm getting at, hopefully.

@TrollBuster9090 :
1. Wow, that explains why nobody's protesting Obama or his administration
2. Sure, Goldman Sachs who donated 75% to DNC, Morgan Stanley 59%, Bank of America 56% already got their money's worth (x1,000,000) or trillions of dollars in bailout money. Who the fuck care anymore?
tooltalk 4 months ago
@arex20
Here's another interesting tidbit:
Goldman Sachs donations to individual politicians:
Romney: $290K
Obama: $45K
Elizabeth Warren: ZERO
I take that as a mild endorsement for Obama, and a RESOUNDING ENDORSEMENT for WARREN.

@tooltalk
TrollBuster9090 4 months ago
@TrollBuster9090 Really? The candidate with the biggest donations are doomed? You can't be serious. I hate to break this to you, but most Americans have never even heard of Goldman Sachs, let alone know what they are. They don't watch the news, they don't care about current events, and they're just not that smart to be frank.
I know a lot of people who are convinced the world will end soon, Obama created the national debt, he's trying to take away the guns, etc.

Everyone has the right to free speech but that doesn't mean anyone has to be listening or even give a fuck.
Leadman1989 4 months ago in playlist More videos from TheYoungTurks
@Leadman1989 they're shooting in an open public space, so they can't tell everyone within earshot what to do, can they? at least nobody has to listen. so it's not the same as if they were shooting in their own studios and somebody barged in without permission to interrupt a scheduled broadcast. the heckler, annoying as you might find him, has just as much right to speak as anyone else.
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
Not really at some point it's disturbing the peace and harassment no you don't tell him what to do you call the cops.
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 so then you arrest ALL these people who are protesting wallstreet, harassing big business and "disturbing the peace" with their grievances. Cenk doesn't get special rights just because he has a TV show. as the man seems to believe in free speech, he'd be ashamed of your "support."
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 last I checked, TYT is a business, hence protesting them is the same as protesting JP Morgan Chase or Goldman-Sachs or Wal-Mart. the First Amendment doesn't protect your speech against some companies but not against others. so a guy heckling Cenk has the same rights Cenk or anyone at Occupy Wallstreet does, sorry.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989: Is this man "destroying property" by heckling Cenk? Is this heckling "a shooting outside" what do you mean "trying to bomb all their shots"? if a reporter goes into a crowd of protesters and starts talking in front of a camera, and somebody heckles the reporter, then the heckler should be beat and arrested? You don't understand free speech, clearly. it doesn't matter if you agree with him. you don't have a right not to be offended.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989. let's put it another way. let's say you go to a Tea Party protest and stand behind Glenn Beck and yell at him that he's a liar and a shill for goldline. so since nobody there cares to hear what you have to say, and Glenn Beck represents a business, you should be beat and arrested and hauled away, because nobody cares what you have to say. the first amendment protects the crowd from your unpopular speech? what kind of a bizzaro world do you live in where that would make sense?
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989. point is that the entire group is there to protest some businesses. if the principle is that heckling is wrong and not protected speech, then the entire protest (even if peaceful) is illegitimate and should be broken up and driven off or put in jail. I'm sure the business people who are being protested don't want to hear the message of the protesters. so using your logic, they should be protected from the "heckling" of these occupiers. but you don't apply your own logic.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989. let's look at another example, from a group everybody hates.. the Westboro Baptist church. let's say they want to picket a church and preach their message ("God hates America"). so they do that and they're protected. but let's say somebody from the church is offended and wants to yell back at the protestors. suddenly this "Heckler" doesn't have free speech and should be hauled off and arrested, because the Phelps people don't want to hear the heckler? free speech for all, rather.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 hundreds, thousands of people are employed by those businesses. do you think those people mind being protested? of course they mind. they have to walk past the protestors on their way to work, surely. they see the crowds in front of their buildings on tv. TYT isn't a "person" either. so if somebody wants to protest TYT, they have that right. you can't just say what the "heckler" is doing isn't free speech, but what everyone else is doing is.
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 he represents a business and he's a public figure. so he can be heckled just like any other host (glenn beck, bill o'reilly, rush limbaugh, pick any con you don't like).
I'm not objecting to the protest. I'm objecting the principle people are using to justify saying the guy should be beat up and arrested for heckling a tv show presenter in the middle of a public protest.
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
He's a public figure and so what?
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 I don't see the difference. is heckling a public speaker not also free speech? Protest is impeding the usual function of something or someone, hence picketing, protesting, chanting during a speech, even heckling. maybe it's bad manners, but it's not illegal. hence if this man were to be suppressed by force, it would be a violation of his own first amendment rights, whether he's 1 man or 10,000 people. people on here were saying he should be punched or arrested for heckling.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 if the point is "don't interfere with business" (Cenk is representing an online TV show, the young turks, which is a business) then you should be in favor of people who protest fox news or any other reporter or media group (Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc) getting arrested for interfering. just because Cent Unger is "less popular" than these guys doesn't matter. if it were John Stossel or Fred Phelps getting heckled, it doesn't matter. they all get free speech
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989, I forgot one thing. You might argue that Cenk is part of the "press" and therefore he has freedom of the press and by heckling him you're taking away his free speech rights. but that's silly. does free speech mean you can't publicly disagree with someone or protest their opinion? so then the Westboro Baptist Church when they come to picket a funeral of a dead soldier, and the bikers come out to counter protest WBC, you arrest the bikers?
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989.
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989.
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
Heckling is just a nice way of saying harassing. He can have all the free speech he wants but no one has to listen. I'm not agreeing with the people that say beat him up but his free speech rights aren't taken away just because he doesn't have a show. If no one wants to hear his crap then that's no ones fault.
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 how about "protesting"? just a nice way of saying "mass heckling."
Of course no one has to listen, and so you're free to ignore this guy if you want. My point there was that those saying he's guilty of harassment (and should be arrested) are favoring the free speech of a tv show over an person without one. it'd be no different if it were somebody heckling Howard Stern or Bubba the Love Sponge.
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
Well yes we're trying to harass them and get something done, it's peaceful, so far.
I think he is harassing them is it bad enough for him to be arrested? If tyt moved and he followed them and they had security and made stop his free speech is in no way violated.
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 sure, if he ran up to Cenk and assaulted him that would be different. Are protesters allowed to shout others down or interrupt speeches?
why is there "security" there to remove anyone disrupting a protest? (which by definition would be a counter protest, hence, another protest, with free speech rights, they don't need a permit to criticize TYT)
XSC3 4 months ago
@XSC3
If he followed tyt around whether they had security or not that would definitely be harassment. I think we should just agree to disagree because I think you're getting slightly confused as to what I mean and I'm just tired of this discussion no offense I'm sure you are too.
Leadman1989 4 months ago
@Leadman1989 so if you really believe in free speech, you tolerate this guy just like you tolerate people who support occupy wallstreet or counter protest the tea party or heckle Glenn Beck. don't just support free speech when its for a cause you happen to agree with. you can disagree with the guy, shout louder than him, make fun of him, etc. but you don't side with people who say "beat him up" or "arrest him for heckling" as people have in this channel thread
XSC3 4 months ago
@Leadman1989, perhaps you can show me where in the first amendment it says that people with TV shows have a right "not to be heckled" and deserve police intervention to stop someone contradicting what they say. if you think this guy should be arrested and hauled off by the cops, then you'd be hypocritical to defend the REST of the occupy protests, since you can make the same argument there, that they're heckling businesses who are trying to do their jobs.
XSC3 4 months ago
nobody has to listen to the heckler. but see what you just implied there. if you get to yell at the heckler "shut up" and shout him down, then it's okay for the reverse... people can try to shout down OWS supporters as well. if free speech means you can debate and heckle, then it extends to everyone, not just people in support of a certain cause. counter protest is still protected, as long as its not violent.

Etimos 4 months ago
The current state of the USA disgusts me.The entire reason this country was formed in the first place was to break away from tyranny and oppression of England.. And now we are in a worse condition than prior to the war of independence... Congress needs to be wiped clean and replaced with the PEOPLE and The Constitution must remain the supreme law.. Now laws passed since the formation of this country should overpower the Constitution.. or else we have corruption and continued oppression.
BeBopDeluxe85 4 months ago 2
@BeBopDeluxe85 Speaking as a British citizen (canadian), the irony is that in many ways, the US would have been better off if they'd remained loyal. US ended slavery in 1865, for example, while Britain ended it in 1833, three decades earlier, which is why the Underground Railroad ended in Ontario.
