i dont mind him missing long. now if he was under throwing, id be concerned. remember, if youre long, youre never wrong. also remember he was a HS Jr in that vid. he's got 2 years under him now and is pushing for the starting position. When was the last time you heard of a true freshman being considered for the starting QB job at USC?

By watching this you can tell he has a great arm and is a tough kid. He needs to work on staying in the pocket longer,his accuracy and he needs to do a better job of scanning the field. USC will be a great place to fix those issues.

Good one, Gilbert has tons of talent around him and plays weak competition. Barkley has dog shit for talent around him and plays the best teams in the state, and most are nationally ranked. Barkley has a better arm, better mobility, and is more accurate.

you're joking right??? watch Barkley's recievers they're rediculously good. And i'm willing to bet money on the fact that Garrett has a WAYYY better arm and is more accurate than Barkley. Garrett's stats don't lie. But i dont expect you to believe me. You will see in a couple years though when Garrett is at The University of Texas picking apart defenses. I won't be suprised if USC takes back Barkley's scholarship after the horse shit season he's having now. Garrett Gilbert FTW.

Wow, yes because going to Texas makes you a great Quarterback. Not even considering the fact that Texas runs a gimmick spread offense that requires the QB to read only half the field, Gilbert just isn't as talented as Barkley. Gilbert has a GOOD ARM, Barkley has a GREAT ARM. Barkley has 1 returning starter on his O-line, while Gilbert has 4. Barkley has 0 returning WRs and RBs from last year's team, Gilbert has 3WRs and 2 RBs. Sorry to have to be the one to tell you, but Matt is better.

Good on short to intermediate passes, throws in to coverage too much, and not great on deep balls.

Missed the open guy quite a few times in this one game, but mobile enough and has a good arm.

mobility needs work, needs to be able to do 4.7/4.8 40 in my opinion, doesn't need to be like michael vick but needs speed and mobility instead of that the dude is cold from what I see
