im a taxi driver and i have just got rid of my vw passat estate and bought one of these Skodas and i can positively say this is such a better car. Everybody i pick up likes it and comments on how spacious it is in the rear. i got the 1.6 greenline and i drove from dover to north wales and it returned 78 mpg. im very happy with this skoda. Dont buy vw, buy skoda.

Car doesn't feel that much umparket in its plastics overall and it is a bit narrow after closer inspection. In fact it is more or less like a slightly bigger octavia and with slightly worse fit and finish. But yes it still is better than the current passat but not better than any other car of its kind.

Just got mine yesterday. 1.8 TSI Petrol,160bhp full option elegance model for only £21,700 (special offer). I Love it to the max. The space is just ridiculously good. build quality is excellent and sturdy. Ride is great, very well insulated interior. Strength of engine? Really strong ! when driving it, the turbo just screams " Throttle It ! " no body roll, steady on the road, properly quick, spaceous and gorgeous (to me) . Best bargain ever! n Btw, ITS LOADED with cool n funky Tech

I wasn't paying any attention to Skoda, but this car is great! It has everything in a good price! Only missing thing is a TV!

And I prefer the Limo (Sedan) version...

Audi = luxury + sport

Seat = sport + space

Vw = luxury + sport + space

SKODA = a liitle bit of everything for a good price = Space + luxury + (a little sporty)

Skoda is not a bad badge, maybe for those who speaks English the name "Skoda" sounds ugly to you, but in Czech and other European countries it's a common and quality car, anyway it's pronounced "Shkoda" not "Skoda" :-)

Also, parking shouldnt be a problem, since you can get the self-parking sistem as extra equipement, and car will park on its own.

Its a great car, definitely better than Passat...especially in terms of interior quality. Its got better interior and much more room inside than Passat, its also prettier outside if you ask me, and engines / suspension / gearbox are the same as in Passat / Audi A4.

Quality car, certainly. Good reliability as well. This current model looks better than old ones, but still trails Audi A4. Would get one if I need.

If I was looking for a wagon, I would go for a Skoda because it's a bargain in terms of price. The only vehicle that has more cargo is the E class and it's not worth spending that much money.

When my dad was buying our new car, škoda was one of the options, but was quickly shot down simply because of the badge, and we went for mazda 6. Don't get me wrong I love our new Mazda 6, but this škoda looks like one hell of a car.
