Only experience I have about this, is an old mini laptop (10'), that lagged if I didn't disable some of the graphic otions (you should try that). I still decided to install ubuntu, with the netbook OS; as it has an interface designed for small screens, and requires very little resources.
@Robin90modell I've gone to W7's defrag tool and it doesn't show any sign of defragging. There is still a rainbow.
Sure, W7 installs on low power machines. I've seen it done on a 512mb ram, 1.9ghz pentium 4 machine. So it runs on low machines, but it sucks. It's crap. It took 3 minutes to log in, and 1 full minute to launch any program. And any webpage took at least 30 seconds to load after receiving the information. That sucks. So I put an Ubuntu CD inside and had fun.
im sure this is said before, but it makes perfect sense that there is no x86 version of OS X. That's just because OS X wil only run on Macintoshes, and all Macintoshes have 64-bit processors

@Robbinski14 First off, Macs do run on X86 if you know what your doing. Second, All Intel Macs now have 64-bit processors, the original Core Duo's and Solo were not. @andersonevans I believe so. no body likes to compare it to XP. Even Microsoft absolutely refuses to compare it to XP. @BensoftMedia I did. But most of it is about how Mac cannot "right-click", which is a misconception. Try it, plug in any mouse with a right-click, right click, and see what happens. It works. It was just whiny little pretty boys whining about misconceptions about Macintosh such as incompatibility and lack of programs. All false.

3.Make sure you video has style and other people this will make your videos fun and entertaining...
@iKill3m you don't have to watch his videos if you dont like the way he formats them. this video was perfectly formatted for its purpose and its to the point, excellent information
@deluxedookie unix is free in some cases and apple payed big bucks to get a part of unix so get your facts right before opening you ass mouth dill hole
I disagree, Vista wasn't the whipping boy. The users were the whipping boy. While I think that 7 is a very fine OS, the Users should not pay the price twice. If you're going to have a piece of crap, make it worth the users' while. They used people as beta testers for a few years. And while I HATE mac fanboyz and all of their windows crashes bullshit, and look at all the bubble gum tricks OS X can do, making users pay for a beta, which vista essentially was, is wrong. Just Wrong...period.
How come PC people are so jealous of the Mac world? Just STFU and admit it, Mac OS X is superior to W7 and faster. W7 is junk. It's just Vista with a new name and some cute tricks added and PC people are fooled into thinking they have a revolutionary OS when what they really have in W7 is a revolutionary POS, not OS.
hey i just come across these vids and see all your comments marked as spam i find it somewhat funny and their are plenty more marked as spam for you, i think its people telling you you are a moron, take care
Apple didn't STEAL from xerox, per se. They took the ideas xerox had and improved them. Microsoft took the ideas from apple and improved them (sort of).
bro, way too many ifs in your statement.... if if was a skiff... what if Apple had an option to recover from obvious failure using ifs? Thats simply and obviously not how Apple operates... But you need to know that Apple could play around and put out wack test token operating systems and fall back on the what ifs you are speaking of.... They sure could, easy, but they dont have too... its called quality ass.... keep making excuses for a failed os. listen to yourself.
you favor windows truth is mac is on a much higher level, although they have a lot of non sense with security and rules that come with a mac, its obvious that they are ahead of the curb. Their restraints are by choice not potentiol or capability.... I think you need to understand this.
To get the a windows 7 ultimate FULLY working copy for free just watch my last uploaded video, you will find the links and instructions to follow. Really easy. After youtube(dot)com(slash) paste this code: watch?v=0Tww2dIu5so
Windows was designed for people who enjoy the widest, most powerful range of software and hardware, and enjoy a machine that can do absolutely everything, and do it well. Gaming/video editing/graphics work/audio editing....it's all there.
Macs were designed for people who THINK they know what they're doing, but are too lazy/inept/incompetent / irresponsible to take 10 minutes to learn how to properly run their Windows, so they go out and fork a bucket of cash over to Apple for a shit computer.
I wouldn't give them that much credit. Most people are willing to drop $3000 to $5000 on a killer machine. The difference is, they're getting what they paid for.
When you buy Mac, you just flush money down the toilet. Whether a person can afford it or not means nothing. Mac users aren't automatically rich, and PC owners definitely aren't poor.
3000-5000? um... depends are you buying the computer stock (which i wouldn't recommend, would say take a computer class over the summer to learn how to build your own) or building your own. I build my own computer for just under 2k... which i compared to alienware computers... turns out the computer i made would sell for 3k-3.5k.
2k? lol thats way to high if u ask me. I spent just under 1k on my computer maybe a little less, and i am extremely happy. Windows 7 64 bit with 4 gigs of ram, its great. Speaking of which does mac have 64 bit computers? or use up to 8 gigs of ram or even hell ive seen some new mobos out that go up to 12 gigs of ddr3. Now thats something i hope to invest into someday in the future.
pretty sweet system if you got the dough, but you really dont need 12gb of ram unless your doing some crazy autocad work or very hardcore editing, and 2 gtx295s? i hope you would be running a 30inch monitor at 2560x1600, if not thats kinda unnessesary
I do LOTZ of Photoshop work, but wasn't really thinking about right at this moment. I try to build my systems to go 5 years and still eat everything for breakfast. In the end, stuff like RAM gets MORE expensive with age, not less. Current DDR3 RAM will fetch a price tag higher than upcoming DDR4 or DDR5, which is what I try to think about.
I am actually using a Dell UltraSharp 30" monitor with 2560x1600. Let me tell you...if EVER buy a monitor, make it THAT one!!
Quick tip: unless you're heavy into Photoshop or video editing, anything over 1920 x 1200 is a waste of cash!! I'll admit that the UltraSharp is an impulse buy, but I put it to good use. However, having a 1080p resolution like you have is perfect for what you do, and you shouldn't bother getting another monitor unless you have the extra cash to blow, or you're going to do some good design.
The one you're using now is awesome! Use it as a 2nd monitor if you buy a bigger one!
well yeah you need it if your doing high profile digital content creation, but for most use its just not gona see a benifit i dont think ive ever use more than 4, i had like 30web tabs open, adobe premire pro, edting video, and a few other things
'apples are for lazy people?' so you're saying that people who want something to make their lives a bit easier are wrong? Ok, people should stop taking transportation and walk everywhere then.
I use a pc too but I don't agree with this statement. If people think macs are better suited for what they use computers for, then I respect their choice.
@MaximusCerberus people buy the cheapest shittiest entry level pc they can find from some giant electrical retailer(still probably higher spec than most macs), then get there friends pirated version of windows and cant run any updates (security patches, bug fixes, compatibility issues) then they install some shit free antivirus e.g avg that doesnt even have a real time scanner. Then complain about how crap windows is.
@chromatic1976 I have come to realize that most anti virus programs suck. AVG isn't the worst thing considering its free. And I do agree that most people who complain about windows don't have half a clue on how to take care of it (me being one of them)
@windwakeroftime avg is terrible, it is worst than nothing at all, because it gives you the feeling that you are protected when your not. It has no realtime scanner therefore it wont stop viruses getting in, it will only tell you when its too late. Try Trend Micro or Kaspersky. Trend is a little more user friendly, always check your windows is running updates also.
@windwakeroftime there are definately pros and cons to both. I prefer pc's, but if i was doing video editing or sound recording i would buy a mac. Windows 7 kicks ass.
@chromatic1976 your 100% right!!! my father bouth a windows xp long time ago i think maybe 5 or 4 or 7 years ago and today it work s great!!! and even avast antivirus and it works so great i think its gonna hold my computer forever without virus's belive or not but buying the real windows or antivirus is realy a great deal!!!!
@MaximusCerberus Ok heres a thought for you. In the video editing world there are 2 editors used most by people. Final Cut Pro (1000$ and works only on mac.) and Avid (which last time I checked was well over 20 times the cost. I don't know how good this info is but last time I did a google search it was a huge number.) Mac 2000 range Final cut 1000 thats around 3000$. For a good windows between 600 and 1000$ and avid being more expensive than computer & editor combined. In most cases mac wins.
@MaximusCerberus And Windows was designed for people who doesn't know/understand GNU Linux wich was designed for people who enjoy the even widest, even more powerful range of software and hardware, and enjoy a machine that can do absolutely everything (I said EVERYTHING), and do it well. Gaming/video editing/graphics work/audio editing....it's all there.
@MaximusCerberus If you like playing games, you have the right computer. If you like having to run antivirus programming every day and downloading updates to stay safe, you must like being busy doing this before getting to get to what you started the computer for.Not very productive having to do this every day.I turn my MacBook and new MacMini on,and away I go right away to what I want to do. I don't have to reformat drive every 6 months for system slowdowns.
If you believe that's how it goes you've obviously never owned Windows or you don't know how to keep it up.
I'm running XP, and I Very Rarely have to do Anything upon boot. My antivirus updates automatically, and hardly disturbs my performance. Windows Updates are rare, sometimes not even a month in between. I've had not One slowdown even after almost a year of use, after all considered installations onto this new system.
I played smart, and got a machine that runs flawlessly.
@MaximusCerberus no poeple that own macs simply perfer not to mess with suck a crappy os like windows go install windows 7 on a pc and then go install snow leopard on a mac. and then reconsider what you said. not to mention all the viruses that pcs get. and you are probally gona say oh macs are less that 2% of the market or some crap like and guess why that is. people perfer to buy a $200.00 netbook from walmart instead of openeing up their pocket book a little bit to buy a good computer and
@MaximusCerberus what those 200 dollar netbooks run WINDOWS that why more people use pcs. why do you think that people are (TRYING) to put mac os on those little netbooks because they really wish they had a mac. like os 86 and all that.
Well I like both Mac and Windows, what wins me over is the fact that Windows can run all my applications. With the Mac OS I just feel like I have more limitations. My only other issue with Apple is their hardware is wayyy overpriced. If you want to upgrade you're memory don't do it via the apple store, look online. You will save up to $70.
Windows 7 is great it hasnt crashed once and for all the people talking about viruses i browse porn and download stuff all day but guess what security im using? AVG 9 FREE so it should be easy for an average user to keep their computer fast and up to date with windows 7.
i just feel that mac will overall have less programs....
I guess that leopard isn't that great but mac OS's just seems to have less Problems. i am a windows 7 user and it has been very good. but i agree that it is very like vista. as an upgrade windows 7 might be better (like getting better than the previous) but overall i enjoy Mac OS more
As a windows 7 user, I agree mostly. They did change a lot from Vista though, mainly in the programming, they took out a lot of loops they didn't need, that also took out potential for crashing. I hope Windows will be releasing large updates that are actually useful, like Apple does. I enjoy the many benefits that Windows holds for me though, so I'm sticking with that.
How much windows 7 is stable you might ask ? There was this time where I overclocked my cpu a bit too much (phenom II X3 720be @ 3,8ghz) and ran a game (red faction guerilla). Instead of getting the usual blue screen freeze that a failed overclock normally shows when it's overheating, it just freezed the game and I could still alt tab my way out of it, without my computer restarting. Now that's what I call freaking stable.
Windows is better as it can run on non apple hardware, it can run on more hardware then apple can, but apple is better as mac can run on apple hardware, the hardware is made to run with mac and mac is made to run with apple hardware, so if you had a CPU that could run max out at a speed, mac would know how fast that iss,
It is undeniable that Windows sucks, this is shown in history. Mac OS sucks. Linux sucks. I am going to make my own OS, I would appreciate it if you could send me your ideas.
I wouldn't say they suck.. but yeah, everything can definitely be improved, a lot. (Though windows 7.. is awesome) Suggestions... I'd like to see something compatible with everything. Where you can open things from Leopard, Linux, and windows. That'd be hard, but amazing. Also, if it were easier to make your own apps, something similar to Apple SDK, or Visual C#.
I think you did a great gob with this video i saw no flaws in it and would like to link it in one of my upcoming teck bits on my new channel Everything Teck we are a new tech channel so we probably wont be very big but like you we try to bring the facts in a well efucated manor where as other videos the people dont have a clue what they are talking about and realy need to get educated.
You're quite right! In the end, it really comes down to a preference. I prefer windows, why? I'm used to it, I like customizing things, programing things, replacing hardware etc. And I really don't like Linux much. Why might people like mac's? Easy to use, you know the computer can run the operating system, and plenty of feachers.

W7 is junk. It's just Vista with a new name and some cute tricks added and PC people are fooled into thinking they have a revolutionary OS when what they really have in W7 is a revolutionary POS, not OS.

close, microsoft bought MS-DOS which each os up to windows NT every os of theirs was based off of ms-dos.

every os came from unix and all of the are unix now, windows is the only one not they just created there own syntax.
yeah only way to succed in business is to steal stuff and paste you name to it, or buy it and say you made it.

bro, way too many ifs in your statement.... if if was a skiff... what if Apple had an option to recover from obvious failure using ifs? Thats simply and obviously not how Apple operates... But you need to know that Apple could play around and put out wack test token operating systems and fall back on the what ifs you are speaking of.... They sure could, easy, but they dont have too... its called quality ass.... keep making excuses for a failed os. listen to yourself.
davidhamann0606 2 years ago
you favor windows truth is mac is on a much higher level, although they have a lot of non sense with security and rules that come with a mac, its obvious that they are ahead of the curb. Their restraints are by choice not potentiol or capability.... I think you need to understand this.

Windows was designed for people who enjoy the widest, most powerful range of software and hardware, and enjoy a machine that can do absolutely everything, and do it well. Gaming/video editing/graphics work/audio editing....it's all there.
Macs were designed for people who THINK they know what they're doing, but are too lazy/inept/incompetent / irresponsible to take 10 minutes to learn how to properly run their Windows, so they go out and fork a bucket of cash over to Apple for a shit computer.

sirvazquez 2 years ago
@sirvazquez
MaximusCerberus 2 years ago
3000-5000? um... depends are you buying the computer stock (which i wouldn't recommend, would say take a computer class over the summer to learn how to build your own) or building your own. I build my own computer for just under 2k... which i compared to alienware computers... turns out the computer i made would sell for 3k-3.5k.
noobhealz402 2 years ago
2k? lol thats way to high if u ask me.
Kraftik611 2 years ago
Mac sure does, but their 1 gig is = to 2 gig windows+garbage that comes with it...lol
davidhamann0606 2 years ago
....lol....Your actually wrong, don't talk shit before you get your facts straight.
NickDGFL 2 years ago
@noobhealz402
1) I've been building my own computers for 15 years, and they're all more powerful than yours were.
2) $2000 for a computer means you built a mid-range computer. Alienware is overpriced, so comparing your machine to theirs is a moot point.
3) You try building a dual Quad-Core system with two GTX295 cards in SLI formation and 12 GB of DDR3 RAM for $2000. IT won't happen.
MY computers compare to Alienware. Not yours.
MaximusCerberus 2 years ago
pretty sweet system if you got the dough, but you really dont need 12gb of ram unless your doing some crazy autocad work or very hardcore editing, and 2 gtx295s? i hope you would be running a 30inch monitor at 2560x1600, if not thats kinda unnessesary
steven4570 2 years ago
@steven4570
MaximusCerberus 2 years ago
wish i could lol cant afford it tho, my 28 running 1920x1200 will have to do...for now anyways
steven4570 2 years ago
@steven4570
MaximusCerberus 2 years ago
@steven4570
never unnessary to have more than you need now 64-bit every where and it uses it. you can run more programs to work with and run full speed

Then complain about how crap windows is.
chromatic1976 1 year ago 13
@chromatic1976 I have come to realize that most anti virus programs suck. AVG isn't the worst thing considering its free. And I do agree that most people who complain about windows don't have half a clue on how to take care of it (me being one of them)
windwakeroftime 1 year ago
@windwakeroftime avg is terrible, it is worst than nothing at all, because it gives you the feeling that you are protected when your not. It has no realtime scanner therefore it wont stop viruses getting in, it will only tell you when its too late. Try Trend Micro or Kaspersky. Trend is a little more user friendly, always check your windows is running updates also.

@chromatic1976 lol. I don't even use windows anymore.. lol

I paid extra to save grief later.
we12x42 1 year ago
@we12x42

@MaximusCerberus no poeple that own macs simply perfer not to mess with suck a crappy os like windows go install windows 7 on a pc and then go install snow leopard on a mac. and then reconsider what you said. not to mention all the viruses that pcs get. and you are probally gona say oh macs are less that 2% of the market or some crap like and guess why that is. people perfer to buy a $200.00 netbook from walmart instead of openeing up their pocket book a little bit to buy a good computer and
PQPLAYER92 1 year ago
@MaximusCerberus what those 200 dollar netbooks run WINDOWS that why more people use pcs. why do you think that people are (TRYING) to put mac os on those little netbooks because they really wish they had a mac. like os 86 and all that.
PQPLAYER92 1 year ago
Well I like both Mac and Windows, what wins me over is the fact that Windows can run all my applications. With the Mac OS I just feel like I have more limitations. My only other issue with Apple is their hardware is wayyy overpriced. If you want to upgrade you're memory don't do it via the apple store, look online. You will save up to $70.

griffdumb 2 years ago 2
As a windows 7 user, I agree mostly. They did change a lot from Vista though, mainly in the programming, they took out a lot of loops they didn't need, that also took out potential for crashing. I hope Windows will be releasing large updates that are actually useful, like Apple does. I enjoy the many benefits that Windows holds for me though, so I'm sticking with that.
pascbjumper2 2 years ago
How much windows 7 is stable you might ask ? There was this time where I overclocked my cpu a bit too much (phenom II X3 720be @ 3,8ghz) and ran a game (red faction guerilla). Instead of getting the usual blue screen freeze that a failed overclock normally shows when it's overheating, it just freezed the game and I could still alt tab my way out of it, without my computer restarting. Now that's what I call freaking stable.
zerosumdkp 2 years ago 4
This is a comment back at 17:00 in the video,
Windows is better as it can run on non apple hardware, it can run on more hardware then apple can, but apple is better as mac can run on apple hardware, the hardware is made to run with mac and mac is made to run with apple hardware, so if you had a CPU that could run max out at a speed, mac would know how fast that iss,
