the reason the crossbow ws in the movie was because in Altair's Chronicles he has a bow that he can use, but in AC you never get one.

you can do a kill like that. in the middle of a fight, pull out your hidden blade and do a counter with it. your guy will do that or a few other attacks. i've done it

you dont get the crossbow in the game because it took too long to recharge another bolt into it, they replaced it with the throwing knifes, you can throw 3 knifes in the time you could reload one bolt to the crossbow.

You actually can get it, but I forget how. You need to complete a lot of things in the game, and it replaces the knives.

You can't get the crossbow because the Hashashin didn't belive in ranged weapons or poison, something I suppose the makers found out after making the Promo.

I guess they may have used the crossbow as a melee weapon for stabbing. But I have read that too. They never used anything that let their target get away, even if it would kill them later.

yes the crusades were a very dark and horrific chapter in christian history. it went against everything that Jesus taught. The crusaders at that time thought what they were doing was good in God's site and were actually decieved into thinkn they'd get rewarded at the end, sadly they didnt. the crusades gav christiany a really bad name. sorry to reply with bloody lifestories but yeh mate.
