This was back in 2007, few of my friends went there for experimental expedition. . .We were all prepared and pack all necessities to do outdoor radio operation, got there and driving around to find a park to camp and very fortunately, a very gentleman individual we saw outside his property offered us to stay in his daughter's beautiful vacation home. . .

Back in the 1990's when I was I am and my now late Grandfather had a summer place on Middle Bass Island (OHIO) a few miles South West of Pelee Island
I'd operate HF and VHF from there and was amazed how well I did up there.
