    merci à votre grand pere

  • Grandpas got soul

  • lol he went ham

  • Amazing!!!

  • i adore this!

  • i think this is the most beautiful song in the world.

  • Grazie Maestro Crivelli!

  • I love his attitude! He is a magnificent player.

  • Gtoffoletto.........Beautifully done...your grandfather Gasia has the magic touch of a true artist ....how lucky you are....BRAVO..!!!!!

  • Belíssimo! 83 years old and an incredible sensibility!

  • wish he was my nonno !

  • so elegantly played

  • PS I wanted to ask you. Has your Grandpa ever recorded andything professionally? If so I'd love to buy a copy of it. Either was PLEASE let me know :)

  • The older musicians are the ones that play the best. Look at how well MIles played when he was older. Being older is something for the younger musicians to look forward to so we can play much better. YOur grandpa is INCREDIBLE!

  • It's amazing at 83 he has vigor and fluidity. Looks like he hasn't lost a step. Bravo to your grandpa!!!!

  • Also this version reminds me one of Bill Evans playing at the Montral Jazz Festival.

  • your grandpa is really cool

  • Your Grandad is too stylish for words!!!

  • He seems to intuned with this piece, and that I like. I gather in his "hayday" he was quite the muscian, though as it appears not much has changed. Like wine, he gets better with age. Tripple thumbs up!

  • Wish I had a grandpa like that, mine collected stamps.

His interpretation is brilliant, He probably knew Monk Himself. :-)

  • i am lonely on the seashore with gentle breeze blowing when i heard this, and all i can do is reminisce... and weep... whatta song....

  • The best version of the song I've seen in Youtube -other than Thelonious's own, of course. Your grandpa is really tallented and shows excelent taste in his performance. It shows class and style too.

  • É molto bravo tuo nonno :)

  • I didn't appreciate this song until hearing your grandfather play it...outstanding! Bello! I'd really like to hear him play other jazz songs.

  • Thank You

  • Yes this is going to be a treat. If you can please post several new piano videos of your Grandfather. He is an incredible talent :)

  • I've posted a video response....;-) hope you like it!

  • @sometrumpetplayer1

    gorgeous

  • Wow you are an incredible pianist. This is an incredible rendition of the classic. You rate right up there with Toots, Dizzy, Duke and Miles.

  • Hahaha, even after posting 10 months ago. I still can't get enough of this. Your grandfather is truly amazing. Thank you.

  • PS can you get your grandpa to post more videos? Id love to see more!!!

  • I'll record something next time I see him!

  • Who is this guy? Wow you play great! Its so true that the older musicians in jazz are the BEST! Ive been playing my trumpet for 20 years and cant wait till I sound like this. thank you for this very beautiful moving rendidtion Maestro! :)

  • Nice. How do you nice in Italian?

  • We say "Bello"

    grazie 1000!

p.s. tuo nonno e un grande!

  • certo! :-D

  • bello! 5

  • very well done, best rendition on youtube

  • What feeling and skill...

    Bravo, Maestro !!!

  • professional touch comes with age ! certainly

  • amazing

  • hi, nice video... interested because my last name is GASIA... so I wondered where you from? I am from Venezuela.

  • I'm from Milan (Italy)...but my grandpa (see description) is from Genova! Gasia is the nickname he had when he was young and was the italian Pole vault champion :-D (something he's very proud of!)

  • oh...I see now... So what is the meaning in Italy of your grandpa´s nickname "Gasia"? because as I said before my name is VICTOR GASIA. Say Hi to your grandpa, very talented!!! congrats.

  • I asked my grandpa..."Gasia" means Acacia (the tree!) they called him like that when he did pole vault....since he was so "flexible" or something of the sort....:-D

  • It is so good, when there is such grandfather !

And let it as early as more many-many years!

  • greatt!! you rockk!!
