  • @PoliticalExile3 Not really. Only reason was southers Couldnt grow up enough to let their previous slaves be equal to them. They're like children that never learned how to share properly.

  • U forgot to mention that several places all over the world including some doctors in the Usa DONT use pain killers on there children as young as infants to possiblely 10 years of age or older. You also forgot to mention that a notable number of Doctors in other countrys as well the Usa DONT wait long enough for lidocaine to take full effect turning the surgery into a multilating torture game for the doctor to play. Also its a cosmetic surgery people cant tattoo kids so why is it legal?

  • There is a saying that Hell have a special place for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.

  • In all due respect, you see, you are a shmuk...I am ethnically Jewish and I hate that my penis was butchered...this should be illegal just like female mutilation became illegal in the US in 1996!

  • Circumcision is controlled by inhumane powerful medical people!! They are powerful professional liars who are doing it for the money!! In their hearts, they don't give one flying fuck about babies!! They make parents sign a Human-Rights Violation Form to have their son Raped by a Circumciser with Instruments!! The truth is hidden that Circumcision never needs to be done!!!

  • This shit is barbaric.

  • "modern medical societies generally take an even stance"

Oh, an even stance. Like destructive elective surgery is ethical when the person electing the surgery is the same person as the person receiving the surgery? Or would that be an even stance, as in non-therapeutically cutting a chunk off a child's genitalia is ethical, as long as at least one parent signs a consent form and the bill gets paid?

Hey Dr. Davis, your even stance is showing despite the best efforts of your left hand.

  • why would you put a freaking blade to your penis

  • barbaric kikerooney assholes!

  • This spineless "doctor" has a slippery grasp on the concept of medical ethics.

  • This 'dr' is ignorant and hasn't kept up with the medical lit. Keep it up doc

  • Typical doctor, who is completely ignorant about foreskin anatomy, so considers it to be merely "a piece of skin on the end of the penis", rather than the complex, functional tissue that it really is.

How can any parent seek sound advice about circumcision from the likes of him?

  • The fact of the matter is that circumcision has no medical basis. The foreskin is a highly erogenous, touch-sensitive part of the male sex organ. Circumcision removes the five most sensitive parts of the penis, resulting in dramatically decreased sexual sensation.

  • The tip for cirumcision should be: "DON'T FUCKING DO IT, YOU RETARD! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? LET ME CHOP OFF PART OF YOUR GENITALS FOR NO REASON, AND SEE HOW YOU LIKE IT!" Jesus, it makes me SO angry that this shit still happens.

  • May circumcision be declared illegal.

  • why would anyone circumcise? men with foreskins rarely have problems. 1/3 of the world is NOT circumcised, by the way, it's more like 1/4 max! the hiv argument has been debunked by a couple of studies in the USA, so it's not applicable to modern countries. UTIs are easily and quickly curable by antibiotics and hygiene is a personal a problem, not a foreskin problem, so those should never be used as an argument for.

  • Just because a guy has letters after his name doesn't mean he's always right. He could have the whole damn alphabet after his name twice over and I'd still think he was an idiot. Possible benefits: none; Fact. Possible disadvantages: death and disfigurement; Fact.

  • Also, I am wondering why you didn't disclose how some hospitals will sell the newly amputated foreskins to commercial biomedical companies for research and for use in the manufacture of certain cosmetic products.

  • For the majority of years of America's existence as a country, the majority of its men have been uncircumcised. It was only in the late 1800s that doctors, such as Lewis Sayre and John Kellogg, began touting circumcision as a prophylactic against everything from venereal disease and masturbation to epilepsy and paralysis. It was only around WWII with the advent of hospital births, that circumcision finally was done to the majority of babies. No other secular country in the world does this.

  • Who is this dork???!!!

  • Just another misinformed American it seems, unwilling to speak out against a barbaric procedure.

  • What do you call the unnecessary cutting of a girl's genitals? Female Genital Mutilation

What do you call the unnecessary cutting of a boy's genitals? Circumcision

  • Circumcision is a SEXUAL MUTILATION.Circumcision was performed in ancient times by the priests of the temples because they wanted to destroy their sexual life to focus only on serving their Gods.Circumcision should be BANNED

  • It is not a 1/3 world wide, it is 15%. Only half of new born males in the US now circumcise and that rate is falling.

You forgot to mention the practical role the foreskin has. I am referring to the gliding action: where the skin moves up and down over the head. Without this, sex is different. Often it is rougher as the circumcised man tends to jab in long movements rather than short quick movements. Again the woman loses out

Go to sexasnatureintendedit(dot)com for a better explanation.

  • Michael Davis MD: You talk like Nurse Yvonne Snippet in the circumcision parody. You two think alike. "The infant is placed in a soft baby holder". Makes the circumstraint sound like a cuddle seat. You're neutral. Yeah, and pigs fly. I think you have a definite stake in the profits of male genital mutilation AKA ritual infant circumcision.

  • Please note "doctor" Michael Davis that the supporters for your circumcision video here are cir-cum-fetishists who are delighted sexually by the act of circumcision on babies and young boys. You are extremely naive and ill-informed if you think you are doing a service to anyone by promoting this form of genital mutilation. You come off as very dutiful person rather than one capable of reason.

  • Female circumcision and HIV infection in Tanzania: for better or for worse? Stallings R.Y.1, Karugendo E. presented at the 3rd IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis and Treatment in 2005. They concluded in part that: "In the final logistic model, circumcision remained highly significant [OR=0.60; 95% CI 0.41,0.88] while adjusted for region, household wealth, age, lifetime partners, union status, and recent ulcer." So my question is when are they going to do follow up studies?

  • They ignored the foreskin in this study. Every study that has included the foreskin has showed it to be THE MOST SENSATIVE part of the entire penis!

  • Female circumcision does not reduce sexual activity

    12:30 24 September 2002

    NewScientist news service

    Emma Young

"Circumcised women experience sexual arousal and orgasm as frequently as uncircumcised women, according to a study in Nigeria."

  • The reality is, as a society, we either respect a child's right to bodily integrity or we do not. While our society recognizes that girls have this right, they seem to not believe that boys are due the same protections from unnecessary genital cutting.

  • Why should parents have the authority to cut off a normal, healthy part of a boy's penis when there is no overwhelming medical reason? Why are "cultural reasons" valid for such a procedure? Does that justify FGM? Does someone's belief in a magical God mean they can cut off any part of a child's body if the voice in their head says to do it?

If this is to be done for "PERSONal" reasons then let the PERSON affected make the decision.

Oh ya, and since when is anesthesia called "medicine"?

  • PROBLEM #6:

Loss of sensation is not a belief, it is a well documented medical fact.

"The five most sensitive areas of the penis are on the foreskin."

Sorrels, Morris; James L. Snyder, Mark D. Reiss, Christopher Eden, Marilyn F. Milos, Norma Wilcox and Robert S. Van Howe. (2007). "Fine-touch pressure thresholds in the adult penis". BJUINTERNATIONAL 99: 864--869.

  • PROBLEM #5:

"All 3 studies found that non-circumcised males contract HIV infection more quickly than circumcised males. This was due to the circumcised males requiring a long period of abstinence after surgery."

  • PROBLEM #4:

The consensus of medical opinion is that circumcision is of little, if any, value in reducing UTI. Risk, complications, and disadvantages of circumcision outweigh any reduction in UTI. The notion that neonatal male circumcision can prevent UTI is becoming a medical myth.

1-6yo.. 1.8% of intact boys get UTI's, while 6.6% of intact girls get UTI's. Additionally, it's been well established that most UTI and Phimosis cases were caused by unneeded retraction by an ill informed doctor.

  • PROBLEM #2:

Circumcised males do not make up 1/3 of the world population. Circumcised male around the world only make up 15% of the male population.

  • PROBLEM #3:

In the Western US the number of intact (not circumcised) boys is over 70% now and rising, with around 90% of boys kept intact in neighboring Western Canada. But because circumcision was once so widespread, both N. American physicians and parents have lost the knowledge of how to care for a normal, natural, intact boy. This is especially true in the USA, the last country to impose routine infant circumcision on a majority of its children.

  • PROBLEM #1:

Circumcision is not a removal of the skin overlaying the penis, it is PART of the penis itself, not separate.

  • This is a much better video than the last one, but I still have some VERY BIG problems with it. I'll add details soon.

  • Circumcision is a parent's way of telling a baby boy he's not good enough.

Why not describe circumcision the way it is? The baby is strapped into a circumstraint so he can't move. The foreskin is ripped from the glans. He's screaming in agony. That's all he can do. Nobody there cares. The doctor doesn't care or he wouldn't do it. The parents don't care because if they did the baby wouldn't be there. The foreskin is hacked off. He's altered for life. Awful but true. Please don't do this to him.

  • This ignorant quack parrots exagerated benifets and reduces harm.

  • Being nuetral to circumcision is like being nuetral to sexual mutilation or rape.

  • To claim 1/3 of all males are circumcised is to include 100% of Muslims (which is false) and overcount Filipino males (since 1/2 get supercision, not circumcision).

You say the procedure includes anesthesia, but studies show effective anesthesia used only 1/3 of the time.

You say it's often done by a pediatrician, but I hear it's just as often an obstetrician.

Search "circumcision damage" to see the frequent aweful side-effects which aren't figured into circumcision statistics.

  • ^^ Pediatric residents are required to learn the procedure and many families pressured us to perform it. ^^

I know two doctors who objected to participating in non-therapeautic infant circumcision and got away without doing one on a live patient.

To the carpenter with only a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Most of the world views amputation as an absolute last resort.

  • Butcher with a medical degree.

  • I do not perform circumcision and I don't defend the medical establishment. Most doctors would consider my tone anti-circ but I tried to stick to the facts and stay neutral in this video. This is a controversial topic but I think terms like "butcher" and "sexual wounding" are abrasive for a procedure that is so widely accepted in the US. Pediatric residents are required to learn the procedure and many families pressured us to perform it...

  • Just because something has been practiced for years and is widely accepted in the US does not make it ethically right. Segregation was also practiced for years in the US and many "fine" and "upstanding" citizens supported that. Lobotomies too.

Just acknowledging in a chirpy tone that circumcision is "controversial" is hardly the kind of awareness anyone should look for in a physician. You're sitting on the fence, where are your ethics?

  • I agree with your first paragraph. I don't really like personal attacks but I suppose I'm making myself an easy target by posting videos about a controversial subject. I don't perform circumcision... but I choose NOT to call my colleagues "butchers."

  • You deserve far worse than what you are hearing here. People are being polite. To call someone who cuts off part off a baby's body without consent, forever affecting their sexual function and sensitivity a "butcher" is being kind, though not entirely accurate. Quack is another word that comes to mind. Perhaps you will begin to comprehend the magnitude of this as your "colleagues" begin to get sued by young men more informed than the last generation.

  • I am sorry that you are being personally attacked. I think the case against circumcision is strong enough on its own but I will point out that anytime things are debated that involves children rhetoric is exponentially increased. Circumcision continues out of fear and ignorance for example many in the US believe that there is a lot of special care required for intact boys. This is simply false. Perhaps you could do a video to dispel that myth. See cirp. org/library/hygiene and org/library/normal

  • Well, my friend, YOU SHOULD call your medical colleagues who think nothing of circumcison, you should, MY FRIEND, call these 'educated assholes' as BUTCHERS.

Have courage. Call them BUTCHERS!! That is what they are. Disgusting child abusers who do not undertsand the HYPOCRATIC OATH.

  • You don't like terms like butcher, sexual wounding and mutilation so what terms do you suggest? The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia says "Routine infant male circumcision is an unnecessary and irreversible procedure." You kind of glossed over the risks didn't you? What about penile amputation and death? What about the complications men suffer? "Why do we do it?" The babies have no choice. The doctors do it for the money. The parents do it because they don't know better.

  • Families will continue to pressure doctors to do the proceedure until more doctors stand up and say no. Families will then ask why, and it's the duty of the doctor to explain that it is an unneeded and inrreversible proceedure that causes more harm than benefits.

    Remember your Hippocratic Oath!

"Never to do deliberate harm to anyone for anyone else's interest."

  • Cutting thorough and discarding the sexual nerves of a infant affects their sexual form and function for life. Parents wishing to protect the genital integrity and human rights of their children will recognize the self serving tone of "doctors" like this who sexually wound infants. Adults who campaign for the sexual wounding of children are dangerous.
