  • @ Jay

The Seat Belt Choke. Very soild choke. My instructor Rick Migliarese showed this one to me a while back in a private lesson back when I was Blue Belt, and I've been using it ever since. It's a very sneaky, but yet very effective choke. Good instruction on this one too by the way. You have some very informative BJJ vids Jay.

  • We usually roll without a belt on, just a Gi top rash guard & shorts. I am also wondering if there is a back of the Gi variation or Gi tail variation?

  • would this work starting from standing, either standing and going to the ground or staying standing

  • @dvaldiezel it's possible sure but a bit trickier. give it a shot and tell me how ot works out for you

  • Chopzncutz

Have you tried to scoot out enough?

  • is there another spot to grab besides the belt? reason i ask is because mother nature blessed me with short arms :( and i struggle to grab the belt

  • @chopzncutz i suppose you could grab the back of their gi if you can get a good enough grip but i haven't tried it that way. another option might be to grab your own leg but again i haven't tried that either so i'll have to experiment with it a bit and let you know if i can think of another viable option.

  • nice one

  • COOL
