@NateSean As much as I like the movies, I have to admit that's one of their issues. Starscream is more of a yes-man and punching bag for Megatron. Hispersonality is more G1ish in the games, but only hints of it are there.

@MBails1987 - He wasn't. Shockwave was second in command which is why Megatron left him behind on Cybertron to oversee Decepticon interests there. Starscream was second in command on Earth only inasmuch as nobody else wanted the job. Realistically, Megatron trusted Soundwave much more and often gave him the more important tasks. I suspect Starscreams presence was simply a matter of Megatron wanting to keep an eye on him so he couldn't stab him in the back, not that he didn't try.

Actually, there was an episode of Transformers where Starscream yells out, "COOOBRAAAA!!!!" It was right at the end of the episode and was never edited out. I'm pretty sure it was during season one too. The actor who does Starscream's voice also voiced Cobra Commander. Talking about being confused as a kid... I remember blurting out, "What the hell?" in front of my mom while watching it. I was 10. Mind you, this was before Marvel comics put both G.I. Joe and Transformers into the same universe.
