We have to teach young people about civics and civic responsibilities. We have to push to get people involved at an earlier age so it becomes part of their life.
We all have to get involved in any way we can. For some, that will mean running for office. For others that will mean letting their legislators know what is important to them and what they do not like. If we all do...something...anything...we can help build a third party so we all have more choices in the future.
mooseofreason--I hope you're not buying into that moronic DNC soundbyte that Nader was a "spoiler" too..that's not the way the voting system works. Gore did nothing for the environment when he was vice-president and he's documentary is a big monument to resignation that doesn't propose any new solutions or blame the real culprits of our current situation... as a good corporate tool he probably would have done the same thing that Bush did.

Much props and respect to Ralph Nader, Ron Paul and you/us truth seekers. "We must be the change we would like to see in the world." - Gandhi

Ralph Nader said it best, Al Gore has himself to blame for not winning his home state of Tennessee. Had he won that state, where both he and his father served in the Senate, Bush would have lost in the electoral votes as well as the popular vote.
That's not to say that the election wasn't stolen from Gore, but before the Dems go pointing fingers, they should look at themselves for not being able to beat the worst president of the least 30 years.
Haha any democrat that blames Nader for Florida is an IDIOT! Why don't they blame diebold or the fact that Bush's family was in the government for Florida, hmmm.
The corporate media mantra is always the same when it comes to a Ralph Nader canidacy..He is not electable, therefore why waste your vote. To the "Corporate Media", I have this to say;YOU don't control my mind!! Yes it's true; Americans don't like to be on the losing team, but that is Neanderthal thinking.
Why not use critical thinking and choose Ralph Nader!!
HELP ME MEET RALPH NADER ! The Nader campaign is running a contest for who can add the most people to their e-mail list. The winner gets to have dinner with Ralph and its my dream to meet my idol. Please help me reach my goal, it takes very little effort on your part, just email me at: workers_of_the_world@yahooDOTcom
Ralph Nader helps put pressure on corporate politicians- he scares them into accepting more popular stances- that's why clinton and obama hate his running for president.
The way to create jobs is to lower the work week to a 30 hour week at 40 hours pay , for all Federal employees. That would create 10 million jobs in one month.
With the stroke of a pen the President could create a 30 hour work week for all Federal employees. This would create 10 million new jobs. If the Fed gov set the example, then the state governments would follow suit. Hi tech companies like Microsoft & Toyota would follow suit. In one year we could turn the whole economy around.
They always say he takes votes from the democrats. He takes votes from both side, though. I can attest to that. He will take McCain's vote from the republican side, for sure. "cuz folks don't want 100 years of war!
The government of the United States of America is so out of controll and so vast that it has its hands in dang near everything, even sports for "GOD" sakes. This is completely against our Constitution! It is growing every day.Just turn on C-Span and take a look at how many reps there are from all the states ect...There are people being paid as reps for some of the most ridiculous things you could ever imagine! Its so out of controll its insane!
Ron Paul is no where close to Ralph Nader. Nader is very liberal, as where Ron Paul is extremely conservative. Also, looking at their varied stances on various subjects, they sit at the opposite ends of the political spectrum on many issues.
The system has beem rigged and America deserves it for allowing it, cowardly materialist cartoon sheeple. Thanks Ralph, Your great vision of America beats my sad apathetic corrupt one.
ralph and paul should be running mates.Wouldn't it be beautiful if they won? Why do we keep electing these corporate presidents? they are signed sealed and delivered from the people who are fucking us over right now.
Do the Math, Then GET INVOLVED! We must do all we can from electing another CFR president, for our children's sake! If your reading this, I'm begging you to GET INVOLVED! Do something! Research some of the things that you think are doing harm to this planet, and DO MAKE SOME ACTION
Listen to Obama talk about Iraq. He wants to leave troops behind to "fight Al-Qaeda"? And to "train the Iraqi military"? He's also talking about expanding the war to Pakistan. He is NOT the anti-war candidate!
If the Global Poverty Act is passed by 2020 the U.S. would be giving an extra $845 billion in foreign aid. This bill also seeks to ban certain weapons, establish an international criminal court, push global warming legislation, and promote "biological diversity."
Veteran CFR members Sen. Richard Lugar, often referred to as Obama's 'mentor' and Joe Biden are assisting Obama in this effort as an extension of their work to ratify the UNs Law of Sea Treaty.
Obama has accepted contributions (many millions) from the same special interests as McCain and Clinton.
Oabam is in tight with nuclear power like Cheney was in tight with defense contractors.
You did not know of Obama before 2006.
Obama sponsored a bill called the Global Poverty Act. What this bill would do, in effect, is levy a global tax on the United States where 0.7% of the gross national product would be earmarked to foreign aid in addition to what we already give.
Geeze, I guess I'm considered one of those special interests, being a donor. And maybe since we extract world resources for use at home, we should increase the tax you mention because that simply is not enough to compensate for the damages or losses we cause.
obama is a member of the cfr,he's related to bush and cheney(they're all cousins),he supports the north american union(which would end the US),he supports the natl id card(all your personal info in a vchip on a card), he will not leave iraq , plus he will invade iran,he also said he will not give funding to any city college that does not allow recruiters on the campus, he voted to fund the war 25 times, and he voted to renew the patriot act 5 times... i hope i made it an easier choice
Barack does attend meetings but he is not a member to my knowledge. His wife, Michelle Obama is however on the Board of Directors of the Chicago branch of the CFR. Just thought you might want to know.
Whats the saying? Oh yes. Be careful who you associate yourself with. If I hung out with drug dealers, then most people would think I'm also a drug dealer or aiding a drug dealer.
Most of the time, judging people by association tends to be true.
My understanding of Ralph Nader is that he is currently America's greatest and most present heroe. The stranglehold that corporations have on our government, on our democracy is profoundly real. VERY, VERY REAL! Ralph Nader has dedicated his entire adult life to breaking that stranglehold through unearthing and encouraging the natural strength and powers within our legal system. Ralph Nader is more of a gift than we realize. IT'S NOT TOO LATE! NADER 08!
John McBush: mentally unstable REPUG-nican. --- REPUG = Gasoline at about $3.30 per gallon --- REPUG = Higher Prices. More war. Fewer jobs. The Rich Get Richer. --- REPUG = 900,000 homes in foreclosure RIGHT NOW! --- REPUG = Race- & gender-based attacks on other candidates --- REPUG = CRIPPLED VETERANS, emails intercepted! --- REPUG = Hey world: "Water-Boarding is Not Torture" ** Poisoned pet food, Lead in Toys. --- NO COPYRIGHT. ALL/PART OF THIS DOCUMENT MAY BE COPIED & REPOSTED FREELY.
He could be our President in just one year from now. Wouldn't that be GREAT? But the campaign needs money. So please DONATE DONATE DONATE all you can--$25 or $250. We're gonna shock the world!
It's like newscasters don't even listen to his explanation of Bush stealing the election in 2000 and 2004. They just want to keep the "Nader spoiler" image in the minds of Americans. There's no real discussion around Bush's cheating our democracy or Nader's right as an American to run for the Presidency.
GO Nader ! That was a brilliant rebuttal. Obama's comments about Nader totally reeked of hubris, and I think Nader gave it back nice and proper. My only grouse: he didn't kick Clinton's and McCain's ass, enough !
Hillary is/was on the board of Walmart. Will we be buying our military weapons that are made in China from walmart. Obama Hussan is in the same church as Farakan (SP?)
Nader has some very valid points about Obama's stance on not-for-profit universal health care, favored by most Americans today. Obama, Kucinich and Gravel were excluded from the AARP's debate several months ago because the trio at the time did not support AARP's insurance based health care package, but now Obama seemingly does support it. AARP gets a $375 million/year kickback from insurance companies that use its name to sell insurance to AARP members. This is bad business for America. Boycott!
Though still an Obama supporter, I think Nader's entry into this contest will add the dimension we really need. He's absolutely correct about the need to restore Jeffersonian Democracy, which opposes the corporate fascist state we have now with the sure fire support of Bush, the GOP and even many Democrats (Republicans in Dems' clothing like Sens. Feinstein & Schumer). Now it's time for a purge. Obama is going to have to bend more toward Jeffersonian Democracy as it is our best course.
He might be a puppet of 1.5 million donors - average American citizens - who give $200 or less. But I don't see where he's a puppet of the corporations, especially since he isn't taking their money, but Hillary is. You should get your facts straight.
I know one thing. Obama is going to kick anyone's ass. As one of the donors, I and more than a million other Americans will make sure of it. Your dribble is just that! No one has ever been able to boast of having that much American support, so you go stick your head in any hole you want, I won't watch.
he a member of the council on foreign relations, which is decticated to a one world order, the north american union, the destruction of the dollar , enter the amero, hes wife was on the cfr board in chicago, maybe you should do some research yourself
al gore and george bush are EXACTLY THE SAME, i have a documentary on the global warming LIE on a playlist, also obama and the clintons have the same agenda, AND REMEMBER CLINTON WAS THE PRICK WHO STARTED NAFTA, and out went all the jobs, what they're doing now is called LYING, do you really think corp media would allow anyone on their airways who was not doing their bidding??? unfortunately ,the only way you and others will realize , is when you get screwed even more under the new "dictator"
socialism -> communism!
capitalism -> fascism!

obama is a member of the cfr,he's related to bush and cheney(they're all cousins),he supports the north american union(which would end the US),he supports the natl id card(all your personal info in a vchip on a card), he will not leave iraq , plus he will invade iran,he also said he will not give funding to any city college that does not allow recruiters on the campus, he voted to fund the war 25 times, and he voted to renew the patriot act 5 times... i hope i made it an easier choice

Ralph Nader is a national treasure.
shoelessl13 3 years ago 3
My understanding of Ralph Nader is that he is currently America's greatest and most present heroe. The stranglehold that corporations have on our government, on our democracy is profoundly real. VERY, VERY REAL! Ralph Nader has dedicated his entire adult life to breaking that stranglehold through unearthing and encouraging the natural strength and powers within our legal system. Ralph Nader is more of a gift than we realize. IT'S NOT TOO LATE! NADER 08!

He's pretty smart. You Americans should pick someone like this who has a brain for once.

I'd love to but we're far too dumb.

There's no real discussion around Bush's cheating our democracy or Nader's right as an American to run for the Presidency.
jdubon10 4 years ago 9
Nader is always so clear and makes so much sense.
We would be so lucky if we could have a president like this. All the other candidates just sound totally ignorant and illogical next to Nader.
ilovemytiara 4 years ago 8

Obama is a great speaker, but a corporate puppet... why is it so hard for people ti see the obvious?
oharawinter 3 years ago
He might be a puppet of 1.5 million donors - average American citizens - who give $200 or less. But I don't see where he's a puppet of the corporations, especially since he isn't taking their money, but Hillary is. You should get your facts straight.

Maybe you get head out of ass and get your facts straight...
duke1244 3 years ago
I know one thing. Obama is going to kick anyone's ass. As one of the donors, I and more than a million other Americans will make sure of it. Your dribble is just that! No one has ever been able to boast of having that much American support, so you go stick your head in any hole you want, I won't watch.

and when he is elected i hope you and all the other assholes are the first ones he screws, see you in iran
oz22verizon 3 years ago
I think if Obama is elected we might see the 'decapitating' terrorist attack the Bush administration has been predicting for the inauguration.
Hell, we might see all the candidates -and- Bush get blown sky high while Cheney is on a hunting trip. ::shudders::

obama will continue in bush's steps so will clinton, there will be no change except more oppression
oz22verizon 3 years ago
Yes, the two parties are really two halves of the same party. We seriously need to break the strangle hold they have.

Do you ever wonder why Nader was funded by Republicans?
Do you really think that Gore and Bush are the same?
Citadin 3 years ago
al gore and george bush are EXACTLY THE SAME, i have a documentary on the global warming LIE on a playlist, also obama and the clintons have the same agenda, AND REMEMBER CLINTON WAS THE PRICK WHO STARTED NAFTA, and out went all the jobs, what they're doing now is called LYING, do you really think corp media would allow anyone on their airways who was not doing their bidding??? unfortunately ,the only way you and others will realize , is when you get screwed even more under the new "dictator"
