You are making an invalid comparisson. Mormons are not a race. They are not being challenged on the grounds of their genetics. The Tanners were both descended from prominent mormon figures on both sides. If a people have to scream persecution in the face of any criticism, we know that they must be wrong.

Seriously, there is no place in England (or America, for that matter) that is as illmatic as Camden, NJ. It is notoriously nicknamed CMD, as in "Crime, Murder, Drugs", and is annually ranked at the top or in the top 3 most dangerous US cities. I am also proud to be from Camden. I guess because living in Camden you saw it all, the drugs, fights, murders. I lived in the Fairview section for the first 13 years of my life and never had a problem. I would hear gun shots from the Yorkship square often but after living there for 13 years it never really phazed me. I have since moved to the next town over, Gloucester. There is still a part of me that misses living in Camden. I still work there though.

No, they were TOLD that they are sooo sacred that they must be secret. They aren't even allowed to question the origins of the secret handshakes, hugs, and phrases of the temple ceremony.
Believe me, I know what I am talking about since I was an active temple mormon for the past 20 years. I went through when they still did the blood oaths. They were removed in 1990.
The origins of the ceremony are from Joseph Smith's involvement in Masonry.

Seriously, there is no place in England (or America, for that matter) that is as illmatic as Camden, NJ. It is notoriously nicknamed CMD, as in "Crime, Murder, Drugs", and is annually ranked at the top or in the top 3 most dangerous US cities. What fucks me up is all these people coming on here and proudly making comments like, "Where i'm from is harder" or "We got more murderers than y'all", and things to that affect. That's a horrible standard for anybody to try to set their city against. One.

I will say that I'm proud to be from a city like Camden. But what you and many don't seem to understand is that many of the children (high schoolers like me) are trying to make a difference. I go to a creative Arts High in Camden. We're on here, look us up. But everyone acts like we want it to be this way, and no matter how hard we try, no one recognizes that there are ppl who are trying to make a difference. All you see is the negeative....thats unfair.

I am also proud to be from Camden. I guess because living in Camden you saw it all, the drugs, fights, murders. I lived in the Fairview section for the first 13 years of my life and never had a problem. I would hear gun shots from the Yorkship square often but after living there for 13 years it never really phazed me. I have since moved to the next town over, Gloucester. There is still a part of me that misses living in Camden. I still work there though.

What's the big deal...Mormon's go on mandatory "missions" all over the world...usually to places worse that Camden...I was visiting relatives in El Salvador several years ago, and we came across a group of mormon missionairies from Utah...very nice people that just want to do good....

Mormons are all right. They might act different from everyone else because they have strong family and church bonds that preempt all other activities. "I saw a show on PBS" I had some Mormon friends in school, they each had 7 or 8 siblings and were the straightest arrows in a crowd.

This is just stupid. By the looks of it they are downtown though and in the middle of the day. Downtown isn't too bad but like the other guy said, try walking the length of Federal or State street in north at night. they probably wont make it out alive, or maybe they will make it out without their wallets, suits, or bibles. The Mormon missionaries are monitored closely by the mission president and they plan where to go. Missionaries go through missionary training at the MTC (Mission Training Center) in Provo, Utah for intensive training and are prepaired to be tough and self-relient - military sends soldiers their for intensive language training. I know a missionary friend that want to the Philippines and was chased by locals with machete knives.

I'm in Camden often. It really is that bad. The small downtown area isn't that bad during the day, but even at night that section is bad.
Its a shame. Camden was at one time very nice. It was where all the rich Philadelphians lived. Its also a shame, since it has such a great view of the Philadelphia skyline. It would better been served for them to have build condos along the waterfront, thus bring in people with money.
