  • I like your videos, but cannot understand your language. Would it be possible to start adding subtitles?

    Thanks!

  • In all my new recipes I have tried mentioning all the ingredients in English. Watch it a couple of times you will be alright. If any questions please drop a line. Shortage of time is the major issue for me. Good luck

  • I only speak english but I totally understood this !! The language of food is very powerful !! THANK YOU

  • Very true :) good luck cooking

  • bilkul bhi naheen

  • I made the chicken as you did, but soon after i realized that my husband may not enjoy those beans, so i modified the part about the rice. I boiled the rice with onion and tomatoes and instead of boiling them till cooked, i boiled them partially like for Biryani and spread them over the chicken, covered them and placed them in the oven at 375 for 1/2 hour for dum. I then called it South African Biryani.

  • acha, next time do as i did, use all what i have used, dont forget thyme and habanero you cant make without them. i dont eat backed beans dont like the taste but in this dish its totally a different thing. you will be very happy trust me :) good luck batana bana ker,

  • that amount of msg can be leathal u can use only about 10% of what you used

  • If its such a dangerous thing then it wont be allowed in Australia!

    Thanks

  • @Bajiascooking MSG can CAUSE brain damage....

  • acha! thanks

  • @msfunkychiken Hey there MFC - - I used to have the same belief and concern: however if you search the web, you'll find nothing about toxic side effects with MSG. I think it's just a harmless salt that should be used in moderation to avoid stomach aches. Beyond that, no damage to the human physiology is indicated. An early study thought it caused blindness, but that turned out to be hereditary in the Chinese they tested. I'm sure if it was toxic, the web would reveal it...

  • @Bajiascooking you're right about that because an australian friend told me that they've banned all msg's

  • no its available every where.

  • Wollof are the Jollof people of Gambia and Senegal. Jollof Rice is the basic food of Jollof peolpe of Senegal and Gambia. I think it was introduced in Ghana and Nigeria by Traders in the Jollof empire. It call Benachin in Gambia. meaning one dish. You should add all at the end. ONE DISH

  • I have lived in those countries for 8 years. Benachin and jollof 2 toatally different sishes. Benachin is made with penult oil

  • Thanks for writting ! i still miss Africa very much especially people!

  • i think i'll have to get someone to teach me personally. i tried this and failed miserably no matter what. looks yummy though

  • What went wrong let me know? Taste was no good or rice got sticky? Its a very easy dish, and very tasty too. Everyone loves this dish in my family. Thyme must be frsh and habanero chillies are must.

    Make it with chicken.

  • @Bajiascooking Something is always wrong. Rice is sticky, gummy, or too hard. Taste is always not right. Tried it with chicken, beef, different recipes. Fresh items. Always screw it up. Not sure exactly what to do to fix it because I love it so much and want it everyday.

  • I made this over the weekend and it turned out DELICIOUS. Just the rice itself was so nice. Thanks for sharing this!!!

  • Thats really a wonderful dish, I make it often. Thanks for liking.

  • @baiboo can you give me some tips?

  • that looks nothing like jollof rice, but to each its own, and it is a west african staple, but its better when you use simpleness, although i didn't understand the language, kind of got a jist on what you were talking about, good video

  • I have lived in W Africa for 9 years. Different tribes make jollof differently. It all depends where you belong to. This is the recipe, I learned not from my house keeper but from a friends wife who is working as a commissioner of Sierralelone these days. They were soso and their family lived in Conakry.

  • huh??

Can you please put some falood, and ice cream receipes up on your page as well.

  • i managed to catch the recipe without understanding the language. but one thing i would like to know is what was that other long vegetable you put in? what it a cucumber or zucchini? maybe you should opt to putting the ingredients in the info bar so we that don't understand the language can still get the recipe. thank you!
