  • Apple will sue you for posting this video LOL

  • The Snow Leopard never cease to amaze me. With their speed, their strength. Their will to survive. What beautiful creatures.

  • 3

    3:31 Fakest snow ever

  • @houstone82489 That's what a heavy snowfall looks like through a very long telephoto lens. Imagine an invisible path going from photographer to Snow Leopards, the camera is recording all the snow that falls in that path. The camera is nowhere near the cat in this, and it's quite amazing the camera person was able to get these shots in those conditions, at that distance.

  • Snow Leopards are one of my favourite animals! Planet Earth is one of my favourite shows =)

  • parkour!!

  • I love this video! Thanks for sharing! I had to stop in again!

  • For me , this is the most beautiful creature on earth.

  • You Know I Noone Has Seen A Yeti Body? Its Cuz Snow Leopards Own(kill)and Own(Eat)Them...Snow Leopards Rule !!

  • I want a Snow Leopard!!! >.<

  • Dünyanın en gizemli hayvanlarından biri, her şeyi ile mükemmel. Gerçek bir mit...

  • soundtrack title? please

  • aww poor animals maybe there friend will think there lyin and make them QUIT grr thts wht my friends did to me there not friends at all

  • @daulbyC: which is why it's dangerous also... for them. in case they lose balance and fall...... though you have a good point too.

  • too bad he caught that goat when it was snowing, was kinda hard to see = )

  • wow they are incredibly beautiful

  • their also rare because it's dangerous for them in the mountains and the people that lives nearby kills them to protect their cattles and village.

  • @DevaneeIn they live in the mountains

  • Snow leopards are indeed the most gorgeous felines in the world -- their silver fur, their long, fluffy tails and their graceful agility. I'd sure love to see one in real-life.

  • just a STUNNING creature, you can't take your eye off it

  • I would've fallen off those rocks and hit every single rock on my way down. o.0

  • who do this shooting? I don't remember the neme of the cameramen! please

  • 3:36 when it stops moving its completely blended into her surroundings.

  • So wonderfull ceature. Hope My son will get to see it in the future. :)

  • beautiful cats!!

  • I absolutely love the beginning!

The Snow Leopard was sneaking up to the sleeping one and licked it to wake up.

    So cute and adorable!

  • so cute

  • Wow, man, simply marvelous. The way the leopard chased down its hunt was simply amazing. The narrator says "Large paws give excellent grip & the long tail gives her the balance", making it the epitome of finesse, but has anyone wondered, without large paws or a long tail the mountain goat displays the same amount of speed & balance @ 0:51 & @ 2:06!!!.

  • the british do make the best wildlife programs.

  • That is some serious snowfall

  • Kungfu Panda beat this Snow Leopard.

  • I LOVE YOU LEOPARD O HOPE THAT U SURVIVE GOOD LUCK WITH UR BABY!!!

  • The name of the song is Planet Earth- The Snow Leopard

  • Anyone know the music that is being played in the back ground?

    Thanks,

  • Incredible footage - snow leopards have to be the best hunters of all the cats, to thrive in those conditions.

  • right now i wish all hunters stick their gun in their mouth and shoot their selfs ...and im talking about the hunters who kill to feel MAN enough and hang their so called price on the wall ... i wish they would go all to hell . HUNT TO SURVIVE AND NOT TO ENTERTAIN YOUR SELF ... only the idea that assholes out there kill these creatures makes me MAD .

  • breathtaking

  • the leopard's prey was lucky enough to escape her :)

  • no way i would be able to pull an animal with my own bear hands up a mountain that steep FUCK NO! lol

  • I love the design of this cat. Call it evolution or god whatever. They have such thick heavy tails, so that they can keep there balance at speed on near vertial cliffs. Beautiful animal and an impressive hunter.

  • They are also extremely endangered, which makes this footage even more incredible.

  • here kitty kitty...

  • I couldn't believe that hunt the first time I saw it, absolutely amazing.

  • they have long thick tales and big paws! so so cute, thismy new fave animal

  • @da12nvmp cute but it'll fuck your shit up in a few seconds

  • I used to have a Bradford Exchange snowleopard plate, but it fell off the wall and broke (I knew one day it would). They have always been my favorite cat...pure loveliness and the epitome of 'cathood'.... :)

  • @phazedplasma incorrect sir, if you had paid attention there was a behind the scenes episode exploring how they captured the footage

  • You need to get your eyes checked. This is real.

  • I've gotta visit those Northern areas of Pakistan Kashmir sometime.

    They're absolutely surreal and serene!

  • It's amazing how adapted these animals are to survive in such an unforgiving environment...

  • especially at the end

  • anyone knows the music?? please

  • as u know this was brought from planet earth, as far as i know they did release a OST for the series.

  • It was created by BBC concert orchestra especially for this series. So you'll have to buy the series if you want the music.

Well worth it I should say. Get it in blu ray if you've got a HD tv.

Its the most spectacular nature filming ever done. Its absolutely breathtakingly amazing!!

  • thx, I will buy hd giving the chance)))

  • 3:00 WHERE'S MY FOODZ???? :( :( :(

  • this would been an awesome job

  • i thought this is osx video

  • the most beautiful animal i have ever seen! i pray to God that they never go exstinct in the wild :( so sad

  • i love this animal! too bad i'm a pc guy...

  • Lol, nice one. Wonder how many will get it?

  • snow leopards are strong animals BUT they are very shy and do not attack people there has been no reported attacks of a snow leopard attacking a human person they are very strong and have alot of fur for the habitat they live in they are my fav animal soo i know alot about them they are nice and gentle giant cats :D even if the snow leopard had its prey in its mouth it would probally not attack but juss run away so in conclusion of saying this i would like u to keep this world clean

    Thanks :)

  • Mostly cuz there are so few people in its harsh habitat.

Though most big cats in general don't really attack humans. We aren't their natural prey so they mostly just avoid us unless they're desperately hungry of feel threatened or provoked.

  • @chocolatelips2 they're giant felines. they would probably kill you. quit thinking they're cute and cuddly just because they look that way.

i'm probably going to get hate for this. they're a giant cat. leave them alone.

  • @AKStewie first of all they are not agresive you need to learn more my friend before you comment back they can attack sure.... but it is very unlikly for they are not AGGRESSIVE and they are Cute and yes we all do have our opinions but Check before commented and learn more (:

  • you need to stop thinking everything your friend tells you is true. they're a large cat, okay, and they might look like something you want to cuddle up with. but come on, think about it. imagine if your housecat was the size of one. you know, the house cat that kills everything smaller than it? they're natural born hunters, and thats what they enjoy doing.

  • My friend does not tell me this i have learned and studied snow leopards for almost half my life. but i never once said they you can cuddle up with them and stuff and yes the house cat kills everything smaller then it. but if you were to studied the snow leopard you would find its not aggresive. And they should be respected in everyway possible but, what i am trying to tell you and my other fellow utubers is that its not aggersive there has been no report of a death from the snow leopard

  • @AKStewie and last time i checked i never said to follew them or anything yes we should leave them alone but im trying to tell you there not aggresive!

  • @AKStewie geesh....well, goodness gracious, yes, they are still cute and cuddly regardless of whether they are 'giant felines' or not- have you noticed how big and fluffy their tails are and how big and poofy their paws are? :) I am a lifelong cat purrson and they are my favorite! God sure knows how to create things... take care! :)

  • cuddly implies i would like to cuddle with them. they are big cats. respect them.

  • I do respect them you silly goose! And I respect the fact that they are fluffy and lovable... :) cats are good people!

  • @chocolatelips2

Wow can you give me some tips on how to make a wall of text without any puntuation? I'm amazed by your skill.

  • @Metallisika k ur funny.

  • thanks for posting this, we saw it when it aired on the beeb and it was breath taking footage! my partner used to be a cat keeper in a zoo and looked after the snow leopards there. i have some beautiful photos of him playing in their pen with them. they are magnificent cats.

  • this video is great but the narrator an the music makes it very grim

  • indeed so, has a bittersweet feel to it, the video as you said great the leopard looks absolutely magnificent, but its to reflect on the grim situation these cats are in.

  • WEll said :)

  • @dexomus23 It makes me think of soviet Russia. "hey cub, it's not all that bad, Stalin hasn't put taxes on our food yet."

  • Funny.

I thought the deer nearly getting eaten alive was the grim part.

  • this was filmed in pakistan.there are so many of those snow leopard in northern area,s.

  • So many? I heard it was around 3,500. That is not a lot.

  • now THATS camo... =)

  • so cute...

  • This is what the BBC does best!!!

  • And honestly people! How the *beep* they manage to balance themselfs on those steap hills???? Even at running?!?!? Even the worlds BEST climber or jumper would trip, fall and die at first attempt!!! Absolutely incredible what nature can pull off!!! I love Earth and lets keep it beautiful!!!!

  • They use their huge, heavy (yet cute and fluffy^^) tail to balance during a jump, that's all I know about their jumping style :] ..

  • @Attilaakiraly

    you're an emotional person , if you're a girl you're cute if youre a guy you're gay

  • @ze000ez ...... will you excuse me for a minute? As an "emotional" i'm already dropping tears with laughter so i'm gonna head outside for some fresh air.

  • @ze000ez By the way. Just because someone loves / has a passion for animals, no matter male or female, it doesn't make then "gay," in the sense it is used it today. A Husband and Wife may work together in some sort of Animal Rescue and care deeply about endangred animals. My boyfriend cares about wolves as much as I do; and we'd do anything for them. But please do not call a guy "gay" if you have never even got a hint of their sexual life.

  • @Attilaakiraly They keep their balance from their big long tail. They're my favorite animal because like you said they can keep their balance running on steap rocky hills and blend in with the snow.

  • I've seen one in Marwell Zoo in England they're actually a lot bigger then I expected!

  • Majestic animal of rare device, beautiful.

  • Go fuck yourself, spam on You Tube sucks..

  • Absolutely brilliant. i love planet earth

  • they move like water

  • 2:35 "ahhhHHHH FUCK!"

  • snow leopards are my fav animal

  • a wonderful sight

  • mmm, dinner.

  • what he said...absolutly amazing

  • wat an icon of beauty and strength

  • Exactly.

  • Snow leopards kick ass. Planet Earth really does a good job showing their gracefulness and beauty.

  • The eagles through the mist are haunting

  • i saw this video in my bio class and went insane with loving it

    i really wanna buy the dvd but i have no information to tell my mom ;-;

    jeez these things are cuteXD

  • you need to get the HDdvd or Bluray version a dvd wont do it justice.

  • its planet earth, you can get individual dvds or the complete edition (which i happily own:)

this one is called mountains, freshwater, and from pole to pole. you can look it up on amazon

  • i wish i was a Snow Leopard...

  • Me too..

  • my fav animal right beside the Lion.

  • at least my license fee goes on something worthwhile

  • Agreed. The BBC does this sort of thing better than anyone else, and if it weren't for the licence fee it's difficult to see who would make such programmes. If it were down to ITV it'd be narrated by Ant n' Dec and have a premium rate phone line attached.

Amazing creatures and an amazing piece of filmmaking.

  • This was one of the most expensive documentaries ever made. The amount of money, time and effort they spent into filming the most spectacular nature and wildlife shots ever seen on film is amazing!

Certainly BBC and Attenborough did a great job!

  • this is my favorite species of feline ever. thank you so much for posting this. Planet Earth truly is astounding. If you watch the "making of" parts from the dvd, they show you how long it took to make this footage. these people really are dedicated. I wish i could say i had as much. Oh this beautiful cat O.O

  • Beautiful. Cats are so majestic and graceful.

  • whats so touching is that the mother snow leopard and cub hunt a mother mountain goat and her young. someone has to make a sacrifice

  • breath-taking. unbelievably amazing.

  • so beautiful

  • It's become a life goal of mine to pet one of these beautiful animals and their big cuddly tails.

  • Gorgeous animal. I would love to give those big paws a squeeze!

  • how did u get the dvd on ur computer??

  • DVD Shrink is the best and free way of ripping DVDs.

  • But this is so intensely moving.. Thanks for sharing this..

  • the documentary claims that this is the first time a snow leopard has been filmed this is not true. The Indian Wildlife Photographer & Movie makers the BEDI brothers shot a snow leopard in 1994 and funnily enough I saw this same documentary airing on the Discovery Channel. They should've researched better.. (though this is the first time a snow leopard has been filmed with a cub)

  • just enjoy the clip

  • Bedi Brothers are still the first people to film snow leopard footage and make extraordinary 1 hr film in 1994 for which they have got many international as well Indian National Award. Now there have been many films on snow leopard that doesn't mean that they are not the first filmmaker. What u saw on discover is old film with new narration.the film was shot in India. The rare and well shot sequence of snow leopard catching blue sheep in planet earth series by BBC is shot in Pakistan.

  • thankyou for keeping us all right

  • WOW..

my fav animal is the LION.

but seriously this animal is very beautiful.

  • Thanks for uploading! It's breathtaking!!

  • they're so pretty!

  • cool.

  • just looks stunning

  • absolutely, this was the only vid of this with attenborough I could find, nice one.
