Ah, come on. Nobody's said this about bop since 1945 or so! This is "Things to Come," one of the really amazing Dizzy tunes and charts. I think it was this tune that Kenton once told Dizzy his band could play it better than Dizzy's. Dizzy told Kenton to go ahead; according to the story I read years ago, most of Kenton's guys couldn't even count this.
