generally speaking, the vehicle tow ratings have absolutely nothing to do with the horsepower output or gear selection...the ratings are established by how well the suspension can handle a load, and how well the brakes work under a heavy load. almost all vehicles can literally pull more than rated...but, manufacturers have to post safe limitations to avoid being sued! good vid...i love seeing just how much my honda can pull. it's pulled it's fair share of trucks, jeeps, and cars out of the mud
Lol don't expect polaris to use this in their next rzr commercial :). I never was a fan of polaris atvs myself..... For many reasons. Our kawasaki bayou 220cc pulled out john deere g when it ran out of gas through similar terrain........
it has nothing to do with polaris not weanting ppl to know cuz if they could tow more they tell u so that they can prove how much better the rangers r its that they say the ranger pulls a ton without hurting it and the rzr can pull 1500 wihtout wrecking anything thats all that meens ... sure they can pull more but by by transmisiion ... Yes and the rzr is rated less than the ranger, but I belive this tractor weighs 3500 lbs or more, and the loader is close to another 1k
