Well, I can't say that this resonates with me PERSONALLy.

But, hey, you know what? Elliott said in one of his interviews (it's on Youtube. Look for "songwriting lesson") that music shouldn't be about pleasing other people, and that if you like something you've created, then there must be something good or interesting about it because it mattered to you at least.
