  • @bilvis48 not from people who know squaut he doesn't care who would?

  • This version isn't bad. I always like watching them jam with the big bull fiddle!

  • The Cramps really tear this song up. They do it with much more energy.

  • T'he enjoyment that Dave gets from the music is palpable.

  • Two of the best guitarists on Rock a Billy circuit.

  • Two of the best guitarists. Period.

  • I love how Edmunds starts his solo like a clip from Bill Haley's Rock Around the Clock but by the end it was more like he dropped a hit of "Danny Gatton Blotter". lol

  • Also, Dave always has to wear a shirt!

  • why are Brian and the bass player not wearing shirts?

  • Because they,re not full of shirt.

  • Haha!

  • Very underated band

  • That solo that Edmunds does at 1:10 is from ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK, only an octave higher.

  • Yeah, that's it Rock around the Clock, i knew I knew from somewhere!

  • That first part of the solo was from something else, I can't put my finger on it but I've heart it before. Anyone know? Is starts at about 1:10. Is he playing Brian setzer licks?

and the choir shouted: "Amen to that!"

  • Thanks for the upload...rock-a-billy!

  • these were the days: 1980- 1982. I saw all these bands back in Boston: Elvis Costello. Nick Lowe. Stray Cats. Rockpile. Clash. U2. The Specials. Graham Parker & the Rumour... time to pull my old records out!

  • too cool, in the early 80's I saw those same guys, include english beat, the b52's, petenders, talking heads, the alarm, the divynls, police, cars....back in the good old days.

  • HA! Some guy in the middle of the crowd at 0:05 flips off the camera. True rock-n-roll attitude.

  • Wow! Great show. Dave, Brian and the guys have so much style. (From the looks of his physique, Brian never picked up anything heavier than a guitar...)

  • Anybody notice that Dave Edmunds first lead break was nicked note for note from the lead solo in Rock around The Clock ?

Stray Cats are the tops for Rockabilly and Setzer is something else !!

  • @doubleten It's call a homage (A demonstration of respect, such as towards an individual after their retirement or death.)
