@MustangMedicdotcom I have looked at a 65, a 71 Mach 1, a 73, and a 64 1/2. Being one of the East Coast guys I have to deal with body rot. The Mach 1 has seen a garage for atleast a few years, and would need new quater pannel and floor pans. Thats what I am leaning to. I have a built 460 engine dynoed at 575hp. Power glide transmission and 9 inch Ford rear end. Another plus is it still runs.
@MustangMedicdotcom everything I have restored I have had the intention of enjoying. And some I have enjoyed for awhile. Now that I am older in life and all I just want to mellow out a bit and drive. My oldest son already has dibs on my 93 Cobra. He is almost Ricky's age. I can say this much, I have never cared about detail on the underside of the car untill now. You guys made it clear to me how much it mattered. I made an offer on the 71, we'll see.
Thank you for your kind words. Yes we focus from the ground up. That is why it is so exciting to be getting to the interior and body work, we are getting close to driving her. It is costing much more than I had planned and we are tight but I have to get her done right our reputation (MustangMedic) depends on it.
I really appreciate that we have been a motivator for you that's what this channel is all about. When we first started sharing what we learned that was all the motivation, it is now turning into a great way to sell restored Mustangs because the buyer knows exactly what he or she is getting.
@MustangMedicdotcom I offered 4,200 being that it is now sitting in the rain, but being that it does run and it is a 1 owner car. It has rotton floor pans and a quater pannel that needs to be replaced. From what I can tell everything seems to be there. It will need tires and a wheel combo also. it has 92k miles on it but I think the speedometer cable is broken.
Please remember your going to end up putting 10k to 12k into her before she is finished. You may be a bit high on your offer depending on rust that I have not seen. Send us some pictures I would be happy to give you my 2 cents if you want it.
