  • being monolingual sucks.

  • You are a beautiful woman.

  • Mind Rapeing is a human rights violation.

  • that is sooo true she does say that

  • nah lol mikes, she's not saying the N-word.

the n-sounding word she said means "that" in Chinese.

  • At 3:42 she starts saying the "n" word. I'm telling Obama on you. On a more serious note there is sophisticated brain reading systems already developed but they are secret. By picking up brain signals and corresponding them with particular words, etc, using special computer software, internal verbal diologue etc can be "read." When thinking words the brain follows the same patterns as when speaking them. It's about having good enough brain pattern detection/recognition and matching it well.

  • ba dja ao sinjin wey bla bla bla fuck you ...

What the fuck is this shit?...

  • This is an interesting idea. Theoretically, this may be feasible. Brain imaging studies may serve as more sophisticated tools than polygraphs. However, this may not work for complex thoughts. My 2 cents.

  • I don't think it is a resolution problem (the higher the resolution, the better the knowledge of thoughts) but that mind reading is theoretically impossible.

  • It depends on the level of the thoughts you want to explore. If you want to know whether a person is happy or depressed, current research already proves that PET scans or functional MRI can tell the difference.

  • Exactly.

So my point was, the content of the mental states instead of the just the category of mental state.

If being happy is more than like being hungry (just a physiological state), and contains the content of what you are happy "about", then how do we know it?

  • I would have a problem understanding the subject even if it weren't in Chinese. Actually, it may make more sense hearing it in Chinese.

  • I wonder how Chinese sounds like to you? ^^

  • I've had the opportunity to listen to a lot of languages over the years but only learned some Spanish and a very little Russian. Your language has many tonal variations. There are shu, shi, sha sounds. Not too difficult to differentiate between other languages.
