AutoCAD Architecture is still superior to Revit from a real world stand point.

ArchiCAD is even better than both. The first software to implement the BIM concept was ArchiCAD so they have a huge more exp. than Autodesk Autocad / Revit

@Dantellezv You are forgetting that ArchiCAD was released in 1984 whilst Revit was released in 2000. At a matter of fact, when Revit was released, Archicad was on Release 6.5. If we should count all the releases of both software, we are now at release 21 for both software. My point, Revit has made ArchiCAD better, but for ease of use, I would work with Revit, regardless what some users think of the new ribbon. It can only get better. Good luck to both software.

I can tell that acad died a long time ago. The diference between acad and Revit is like the diference between making a project by hand and making a project by computer.

I just finish taking a class on which we worked with both softwares, Revit and ACAD. Revit helps you visualize your project a little bit more. Its main purpose is to give perspective. ACAD on the other hand, focuses more on the details. It is faster and easier for the design of details (drafting).

My class end up divided when asked which software they like more.
