  • BRO RENAME IT A SIKH NEVA CUTS HIS HAIR

  • Comment removed

  • The kesh(hair) is not an identity of a Sikh but rather an identity of humanity. They grow irrespective of any religion and they will keep growing no matter how much you try to destroy them. The reason why Sikhs keep their hair is because we love the creator and creator's creation. So the hair is part of this creation and we would like to keep it that way and message to those who comment silly things, you can never believe in god if you don't even accept god's creation.

  • Sikhi itehaas gawah hega saade kesh di importance layi.. tussi saare inne v open-minded na ho ke tuhada dimaag bahar gir jawe.. assi kesh rakhde ne kyonki they are supposed to be there. i will die how waheguru made me.. i am no one to go against his will and cut my hair.

  • so like...

ur sayin i'm not a sikh?

when i am , i'm born into a sikh family... which makes me a sikh i can't chnage that?...

if i have cut my hair... it still makes me a sikh.

  • just because a man cuts his hair does not change who he is on the inside , a true sikh is a person who has a good heart not long hair

  • taj i said dumbass to u only u not the whole muslim.coz there so many muslim are my best friends.......

  • @raikhalsa19 see what dakka says, hair does not matter! why dont you explain your beliefs instead of keeping them private? its coz you know its bullsit

  • @tajk786110 listen bro i said u can say that not ONLY with hair but good heart with good quality can be a true sikh thats my view i think u also understant that........

  • @raikhalsa19 ok good luck to you. if i found truth in sikhism i would be sikh. guru nanak has no divine revelations and he himself was muslim. as for the sikh hair and turban, its for identity so great, but there is no identity in sikhism that any other human cannot have. therefore there is nothing unique. its just standard person who wears a turban. bye

  • @tajk786110 who dunb say u that guru nanak ji is muslim.......guru nanak ji said all peoples are equal in the eye of god he himself restricted from caste,race,etc..so bro "'guru nanak has no devine revelation"" atleast give some respect to the messengers of god....md.prophet ji did not said that don't give any respect to other religions....so bro atleast follow the code of conduct that prophet ji gives u..........

  • @raikhalsa19 i have no intention to hate, discriminate or disrespect. However I have been reading sikhism because if I found it to be the truth I would be sikh. All I have done is revealed the truth of what I have found so that you also may learn. Now you study shia Islam and tell me what you find. (Apologies for any offence caused by the way). Regards

  • @tajk786110 bro every religion on his place is good..its islam, sikhism, hindu, christian.every one is right on his place..i did not said u to change ur religion nor i want to do so..like u like ur religion ..i also like my religion..so y bro we fight on this matter...so anyway nice to talk with u....from few days we use youtube like a chat nor comment.. :D so anyway u r right on ur way and me on my way and if i hurt u with any comments or views .i also apologise ..ty again nice to talk with u :)

  • WHAT IS THE MAIN BELIEF (1 WORD) IN SIKHISM THAT MAKES IT UNIQUE??

  • @tajk786110 1st thing u r not a sikh and if u r not a sikh then u have no right to argue on sikhism.like a stone who dont know about a light and dark is also like u so better if mind ur own buisness..

  • @tajk786110 SO THE MAIN BELIEF IN SIKHISM THAT MAKE IT UNIQUE IS "JAGDI-JOT"

SO U R A MUSLIM THATS Y M THINKING WHOSE THIS DUMBASS IS

  • @tajk786110 I don't know if you're still interested in an any thoughts on this, but the word that makes Sikhism unique: Protection. Protection of the religious identity, beliefs and faith in God of ourselves and people around us. Protection of pride is why we wear turbans and why we want others to wear their hijabs and crosses. We believe that, believing in God, protecting our and others religions and not discriminating other ways of showing faith in God is what makes us unique.

  • tajk better if u shut ur mouth u dont have any right to say anything wrong to other religions..we cut nails coz to remove dirtness.we dont cut our hair 1st thing is that coz for our guru's "rehat maryada" and it give us different identity from rest of the world.....and their is quote that "alive lion dont allow any 1 to touch his hair"....so if u have no idea to say good things about other better u keep ur mouth shut....

  • @raikhalsa19 ok so you grow your hair and thats your religion. thats it? great! im going to search for something a bit more purposeful now. who cares about different identity. you dont need that. you already have the potential to let your good actions be your identity. many sikhs are realising that their religion is not divine, but a waste of time.

  • @tajk786110 i don't know from which religion r u..is ur religion dont tech u how to respect other religion....what u say that ""many sikh think that sikh religion is not devine and waste of time"" for ur kind information a true sikh never said that and which say this that's are not a true sikh...i just wanna say u that dont argue on some one about their religion.........all religion are same or equal in the eye oh god...just learn to give respect and live life in a good and peacefull way.......

  • @raikhalsa19 before you start crying i am not disrespecting anyone. and do not say all religion are the same because there is a difference between those who believe in god and those who pray to elephants with 6 hands and breasts (hindus). they disrespect themselves by praying to something they made. as for sikhism...what part of sikhism is divine? most sikhs dont even know why they wear the turban. and from those that do, they cant defend it because its not necessary!

  • @tajk786110 first of all m not crying......i m laughing on ur stupidity...sikhism is devine...it taught us to live in peacefull manner, defend poor people, fight for justice.we wear turban coz if u know turban stand for respect...afghans..hindus in part of rajasthan they also wear turban..ru sikh or what ..from which religion ru belong??? change ur thinking otherwise whole world laugh on ur dirty stupidity....:D

  • @raikhalsa19 ok you cant spell divine nor do you know what it means. im laughing at your smelly stupidity now

  • @tajk786110 abe fattu sale apna muh band rakh tere ko dusre ke dharam ke bare mein bolne ki kya jarurat hai.sale agar kuch acha nahi bol sakta to bura b mat bol.tere jaiso ko chulu bhar pani mein doob marna chayiee.ab apni bakwas band kar samja

  • @007tigerlion thank you. you are aggressive because you have no defence. it must suck to realise that your whole life has been a major misguidance. there is no belief in sikhism. sikhs wear a turban to show they are sikh but when it comes down to it they dont have any real identity in terms of behaviour and belief. find God because you are missing out!

  • whats the point in always growing your hair. why do sikhs cut their nails then? what happened to looking after ones body?

  • @tajk786110 yeah i see wt you are sayin. i wonder why muslims get circumcised. there is a science behind growing your hair. there are other reasons aswel...which i cnt be arsed telin you on here. nails, if kept too long, collect dirt.

  • @rathorvs01 if its based on dirt then surely shorter hear is more clean? circumcised has important health benefits thats why christians jews muslims and others do it. maintanence of your body for health purposes and cleanliness is a human survival necessitie. The only reason i have come across for sikhs wanting to grow hair is for identity. anyone who says sikhs grow hair because they dont want to intervene with their design should not cut their nails.

  • @tajk786110 sikhs without turban identity can still be good people. sikhs with turban identiy can be bad people. For me, the turban provides no logical benefit or correlation to religious morals. its just a way of saying we are a totally different religion but not really even having anything unique or purposeful. sorry if its harsh but seriously..whats the point?

  • @tajk786110 - thankyou for your reply. however, shorter hair does not necessarily mean cleaner hair - so that invalidates your first point. secondlt, circumcision does not have important health benefits. it has very minor, if any, benefits at all. i agree maintenance and cleanliness is vital and a 'survival necessity' however, i do not believe circumcision is the answer. i still believe your point is, excuse my french, BULLSHIT! :)

  • WHY R U HATEING DUDE...\\

  • @rolldeep321

do you ever heard about shut your ugly big mouth!!!

Your pathetic and a loser,an probaly ugly and jeaous

  • these look like rajistani people..not sikhs

  • Who are any of us to decide who is and isn't Sikh? It's between that person and God. And getting pissed off because somebody does something differently only shows that we are still full of 'homeh' and need to work on that. People have been taught differently and it's not always my way or the highway. Just accept people for who they are, and leave judgment to God.

  • wat the hell is this guy doing , does he fink a dastar is a dam hat? wasteman

  • @militant84warrior well said man man thinks hes wearing a hat !!!!!!!!!! a good sick never cuts his hair a gud sick never takes his dastar off like a hat

  • starch

  • was the originator of sikhism (nanak) ok with all these rituals? Seems like sikhism shows all signs of every other religion and that is- a pioneer or originator of a movement creates a spiritual path, and then later after they are gone, a whole bunch of people unrelated introduces new teachings and subverts what the creator of the spiritual path intended...so what you get in the end is not something authentic ..but rather something which is a product of hundreds of years of tampering

  • He is not a sikh. Sikh never do that. we always tie the turban from scratch. What he did is same like wearing a hat...............

  • wow sikhs have lost all the teachings off nanak. all humans are equal, no ritual or symbol will make you a greater person or closer to God, The turabn is to show displine, the Khara was a weapon, we see these as a symbol, no Nanak said to only pray to God, nothing else.

  • A lion never cuts his mane.

  • @LilBT

Thts because he dont know how to cut it.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist It was supposed to be a metaphor. /not sure if troll

  • Comment removed

  • A dastar should be tied - not put on like at hat

  • Its not true. There is a ravidasia sikh sect who cut their hair regularly. Its just some sikhs have hijacked the entire religion.

  • Ravidassi' are NOT Sikh

  • Is it true that baptized Sikhs, women or men, can't cut their hair? Anywhere?

  • yes

  • even the pubes and armpits, even men and women?

  • Comment removed

  • u r right, a good sikh never cut his hair. if sikh,s belive in sikhism then they should have to folow the rools of sikhi. but now only few sikh folow to sikhism . and others sikh,s r stupid. they smoke drink whisky. go to pub, club and casino. but one day that stupid will realised about sikhi.

  • i know lot of good sikhs who have had hair cut .. do they become bad ???

  • No they don't become bad, but non sikhs.

A sikh follows a code of conduct initiated by guru gobind singh, which condones patitpuna.

  • a good sikh will follow his gurus teachings and guru ji said not to cut your hair so if you have cut your hair your not a good sikh

  • gunjan kaur ji theres something wrong(well quite a lot actually) in your definition of sikh. this is not supposed to be rude and please don't take this personally but before uttering such big words as DEFINITIONS OF SIKHS,KHALSA etc. please be aware of your ignorance. Everyone reading this please keep this in mind. THANKS

  • must be a greatman, nice clip

  • i guess they dont remove underarm hairs too ?? is that correct ?? and we shouldn't say anything against to them its their faith .. i am Muslim and i belive on my faith .. so respect .. i guess Sikhs are better than hindus..

  • I DONT REMOVE MY UNDERARM HAIRS for real... coz they are menly and sexy !

  • that is such a tremendous clip. this mentality should be instilled in Sikh youth of today.

  • before saying anything bout someones religon think twice! its called karma

  • It is actually a part of the Sikh faith to have a complete ablution called "Ishnaan" before conducting the morning prayers. So infact bathing and cleanliness is practiced methodically. It is a part of the custom to carry a comb with you to comb and clean the hair atleast 2 times daily.

Now if you gonna be a hater anyways then F.U.U.MoFo.

  • and sikhi is the most liberal religion out there

we were the first ppl to actually strt taking shower

bak in the days.. even here in usa ppl showered after days..

errm and we were the first ppl to give women equal rights.. :P

  • true a tru sh wudntt his hair but thats like calling shaheed bhagat singh and udham singh not proper sikhs

  • REAL SIKHS ARE AMRIT DHARI SIKHS. Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh were in disguise, they were fighting a war, so there can be an exception.

  • If these hindu mother fuckers think after murdering sikhs in punjab they have won some battle.

they r wrong it just started.

Raj Karega Khalsa. Babbar Khalsa Zindabad

  • singh is king

  • lol u spaz

  • patel ask your mother who fucked her when your father was sleeping .guju your sisters gives us blow jobs they like punjabi LUN .

  • strivestar i respect that you think you are doing whats best but without being disrespectful, whats it got to do with you what i do with my hair...ive had mohawks, shaved my head and to be honest growing my hair aint goin to make me a better sikh or person.

  • Yeah but as u both are sikhs and seeing as sikhs have somthing to do and say about hair, he may of just been commenting on what the accepted norm of the sikh panth states. Because these norms are what we are meant to agree on. So its got nothing to do with him but it has got somthng to do with the way of life we share. not disrespect intended. Just my opinion.

  • all i did was give you some advice. You can take it or leave it. I have no control over anyone. One decide to do what he/she decides to do. All i can do is give advice. You might think hair does not make you a better Sikh but you probably do not know the science behind why we have hair. hair has a purpose and because of this purpose Sikh become better Sikhs with hair.

  • Well, regardless of what I believe-- to be a Sikh, you don't have to believe in those things. And I also disagree with the over simplification of something that is itself even difficult to approach with words.

  • But to be a sikh is to be a disciple of the guru. Sri guru Gobind singh outlined a simple conduct with which to base our philosophical and moral framework around. We cant just sit here and constantly remark on how unchomphrehendable the universe or sikhi or other things of that sort are "even difficult to approach with words." eventully we have to live as a sikh. That requires conduct that has been passed down to us through the khalsa panth. once again the video info is not wrong. just 2 simple

  • I'm just trying to elucidate that most people don't know much about Sikhi, and their primary sources include random online excerpts such as the info for this video. Sikhi cannot be outlined in tenants; I feel it's not just a gross oversimplification, but a misinterpretation. One cannot generalize and categorize something so rich and pervasive as Sikhi into a few lines of conduct or norms. I'm saying we need thousands of pages, if even possible, to even merely approach explaining Sikhi.

  • I couldnt agree more about not misinterpreting and oversimplifying. I also agree with your point with regards to the average person who does not know much about sikhi finding their info on sites and clips like these. I guess my point is that i belive that for an informed sikh, keeping to a conduct is important and can be used as a place you start from and not just viewed as a summation of sikhi.

  • The definition of what a Sikh is in the info for this video is UTTERLY WRONG. It is misinformed and a result of western translation. None of those things describes what a true Sikh is. It doesn't matter what religion you prescribe to, that is central to Sikhi.

You CANNOT reduce Sikhi to a set of rules or guidelines-- this video does not do justice to Sikhi, it only perpetuates a false "definition" of Sikhi through a system of translation that disenfranchises the philosophy form its true nature.

  • to thegagan: i swear its part of the marayada tho. dont be too harsh on the video info. i mean its not sayin anyhting wrong. I do understand and accept ur point as i have belived that similar line myself but single codes of conduct cant really be "wrong" can it. i mean which one of those points do u disagree with. or is it that u just disagree with the over simplification and seperation from the philosophy? if the later is true please let us know that u think the points are still true. wjkk wjkf

  • you can question all you want, and you should question the ideas. But make sure you look for those answers by yourself and not expect someone else to give them to you. Every man is on its own journey. We must keep on trying and strive for those answers. Its not the answers but the process we get through will enlighten us and bring us closer to the Guru and the akal purakh.

  • But central to sikhi is the unique relationship between the guru and his disciple.

  • Dont down vote this give it thougth

that is bull shit, you might as well be a fucking christian.

All religions are terrible for humanity's sake it is now a crutch and serves no purpose whatsoever.

we can debate this but ignorance breeds only hatred.

  • Who is a Sikh??? Might be a stupid question to ask, but think about it for a minute. What defines a Sikh??? Do you breath and live like a Sikh???? Then ask yourself am I a Sikh??????? To say i am a Sikh is one thing but to live to be a Sikh is another. There is no judging in my comment just questions that define a person by his/her actions.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ka Fateh

  • if u do not keep your hair, u are still a sikh, but not a member of the khalsa panth. at least that is what i have been taught throughout my life. but i would like to ask the mona sikhs, how can you live with yourselves, when u KNOW that guru gobind singh, his sons, and countless others were tortured to death because they refused to cut their hair and to keep the sikh/khalsa identity alive by doing so? how can u let their deaths become meaningless and in vain?

  • I am a Sikh and I am one of those many Sikhs that have cut or shorn hair. I cannot answer that question, because I still don't have the answer for it for myself. I think about it a lot, but I cannot come to a conclusion as to why I cut my hair. But I cannot grow it back yet, because I don't believe I am ready for the heavy responsibility. But one day, God Willing I will be ready. I know the history behind the Guru and his Panth and it makes us cutting our hair even more worse. Nice Video

  • PunjabDaSoorma you raise an interesting point but I found something fundamentally wrong about your comment. You said"that is what I have been taught throughout my life."I want to make a quick point about "that."I don't know how old you are but this is a reoccuring issue in Sikhism. You should take some personal iniative & learn more,as well as understand more of where you fit in rather than let others tell you about Sikhism. Because people are at times unfactual or bias/polemical.

  • I questioned the thoughts and methods I was raised with, and I have raised questions as well about those same teachings I was raised with. And I came to the conclusion that those teachings are a part of me, I agree with them. So therefore, I have already found my self. Oh and by the way, I am a Religious Studies Major in Sikhism and Islam.

But I agree with you, people should question the ideas they are raised with so they can rediscover themselves in a sense.

  • ebucian i understand what you are saying but like you said you came to that position in your own time. when you believed you didnt have to keep kes where you any less of a sikh, i think not. Were all on a path in sikhi at different places and with different beliefs but i know i am a sikh and choose not to keep my kes because i prioritised other things i must correct before keeping my kes, to me keeping kes is the 'simple' thing to do and a privelege to that must be earned

  • I completely agree, my comment was about people that use the line "now where in the sggs does it say keep your kes therefore i wont etc etc". i never implied anyone is not a sikh if they dont. i certainly belived i was a sikh before keeping my kes. However being less or more of a sikh is hard to judge. keeping kes may or maynot be a measure of "sikhness" but im not getting into that. measuring "religousity" is near impossible.

  • For all those that keep saying "now where in the sggs does it say keep your hair therfore you dont have to keep you hair": please stop fooling yourselves. I sed the exact same thing for years. Our Guru, sri guru granth shaib is not a rule book. Its not like sharia law. do this dont do that etc. Keeping 5 k's came from dasmesh pita. Its funny how no one trys arguing against wheter or not keeping a kanga or kirpan is a sikh thing? maybe cos its easier to do? Keep kes. simple

  • i disagree, tell me the page in the ggs where its said if you cut hair your not a sikh. People who say that are speaking from an egoical position in a vain attempt to justify separist beliefs. I dont judge any1 and you lot havent got the right to judge me, thats reserved for the lord only

  • For all those that keep saying "now where in the sggs does it say keep your hair therfore you dont have to keep you hair": please stop fooling yourselves. I sed the exact same thing for years. • oratin12 if keeping your hair is the simplest thing for you to do, then start today to keep it because the simplest is the fastest and easiest way to live. Also how do you know tomorrow will come for you. If today you realize i am doing something wrong then in that second change dont wait because the clock is ticking and life is becoming shorter by the second and each breath is going from your life.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ka fateh

  • guru ji said and they wouldnt have tried so hard and sacrifice so much for sikhism.

if u do cut ur hai u are sehjdhari when u take amrit then u become amritdhari

ur not being forced into it do it at ur own pace

  • you also not susposed to treat your turban as a hat, taking it off like that and putting it back on like that, you are susposed to un wrap it and tie it.

  • gawsh ur not supposed 2 cut ur hair bcos guru gobind singh ji suggested it holds a key to the power within you, its a part of you and your losing it by cutting it. Keeping ur hair long isnt the most important fing in sikhism. GURU GOBIND JI NEVA SED "IF U CUT UR HAIR YOUR NOT MY SIKH" fuk bwt dnt disgrace ma religion by making up shit ehem certain ppl..wtf dt bwt.. hld tyt tru sikhs <3

  • Stop writing as if you have no brain, you're making the rest of us look bad.

  • Ill write how I please...

Did you or did you not understand the point i was making?

    You make yourself look bad

  • no sikhs cut their hair, as guru gobind singh jee says, if you cut your hair then your not my sikh

  • 2 pakis, lol!!! we spotted you easy!!! Now stop sticking sausages up your ass, cos muHAMmad wants to rape your 9yr old sister.

  • wut the fuck are you talking about...your last weekend?...FUCKING DIPPER....

  • Im on about when MooHAMhead came to rape your 9yr old sister and you was busy sticking pork up your batty to realise the dirty peado prophet was raping you sister. Your dad turned gay when he saw it happening, you was still busy sticking pork up your batty, You inbred muslims are a joke.

  • its ur religon! u should learn to respect it! if u actually think about it

  • i respect the holy sacrifices made by our gurus and other sikhs, i haven't cut my hair since last 8 years and i keep on planning to keep em that way, SATNAM WAHEGURU

  • hey.

I'm doing a report on Sikhism right now and one of the questions I have to answer is "What happens if he refuses to wear or follow one of the five K's?"

    and I'm kinda lost.

    What does happen?

Are they not allowed into Khalsa?

  • WJKK WJKF

How the hell is the man unhygenic if he keeps his hair.

    KHALISTAN ZINDAAD

  • im going to start to keep my hair now...hopefully with guru maharajs kirpa...

  • bless. me 2 soon.

  • Awesome! I do respect and admire Sikhism, specially for the care and the way they worry about hair! I always listened it was supposed to grow long on human beings, and on men, that can mean such a power!!! Like a lion!

    Congratulation!

  • spot on marc sikhs r likin viking warriors, not scared of death as long as its a clean death, a soilders death.
