An outstanding use of English language and crystal clear presentation of ideas in a highly critical moment. Appreciates from the bottom of heart with the pride of being a Sri Lankan. After the assassination of Mr. Lakshman Kadiragamer, I thought we are far far away from creating a world class diplomat or a team of them for our country. But now I know that I am wrong because of Dr. Dayan Jayathilake and Prof. Rajeva Wijesinghe.

Now is not the time for petty jingoism. I'm sure you are feeling proud because of some narrow-minded adulation from other people, but it is imperative to know that the war is OVER. So there's no need for the extreme sinhala nationalist 247/7; put this inane rhetoric aside and try to think of the plight of the innocent civilians in the IDP camps, and how we can reintegrate them into society--that's the real war.

But as I mentioned in some other place, you have been biased and one sided. Even though you have tried your level best to show yourself as a patriot. But to be frank you have failed. You try to sound like a Sinhalese who is guilty about people in IDP camps and really concern about the development of the country. Just OPEN YOUR EYES and look around. Who is sending dry rationals and water bottles and other necessary things to these camps, SINHALESE. Has world ever seen that in any where, after a so called ethnic war? (There wasn't a collision in ethnicities) No, After all where is these tamil people around the world? we don't see anyone coming out to help their own people.

It's a little hard for Tamils from abroad to come here, when 'foreigners' are being deported left and right for 'overstaying'. You know that, so be reasonable; right now the GOV is looking at all Tamils with latent suspect--so it'll be one hell of hassle to make that trip, sir.

SEE, You don't like to go beyond your comfort zone for your own people, (You like to use the words "our own" only for tamil people, but I use the words 'our own' to all Sri lankans without considering their race) I personally involved in a campaign to send dry rationals to IDP camps. You are the people who talks a lot and do nothing. What you have said proves that. What you are trying to say is "there is nothing we can do to help the people in IDP camps from here"

I will tell you what you can do. Each an every UN agency is allowed to go to IDP camps. Work as a group (I doubt whether you can have friends with this kind of attitude, nevertheless) Collect money or dry rationals which are having date of expiry at least about 3 month ahead. If you are suspicious about GOSL and SL Army don't send them to Sri Lanka.Hand them over to the UN agency in your respective country. They will take care of them from there. (But I have my doubts on whether you do this)

I don't agree with you even for a single second that you have nothing to do to help people in IDP camps. But we'll just think there are obstacles to do that for foreigners. If so, why the local rich tamil community is not coming out for help. I haven seen even a single tamil organization which came out to help the displaced people. Why because they are having a hidden agenda. They want GOSL to single handedly take care of the 250,000 displaced people and make mistakes.

Then they can scold the GOSL and go for their hidden goal of proving the world that GOSL is not capable of giving solutions specifically to problems of the tamil people, GOSL is neglecting even providing the basic needs of that people, can be achieved. So the conclusion would be we need a separate state. Simple as that. I would like to say this is also using a HUMAN SHIELD to cover not the terrorism, but a disgusting agenda.

Well, if the army can 'single-handedly' win the war, surely they can handle the post-war process, no?

If the SL government had the guts to rage a war with this intensity--with journalists barred & killed (Lasantha, anyone?), draconian control of state media, disregard for collateral damage--surely, I mean surely there must've been some post-war plans too? And I'm not talking about the money spent on the useless parades and cut-outs--let's spend on something worthwhile, no?

I said I have my doubts on whether you do your part to help Tamil people and the you have proved that through the above statement. I said to give your support to UN and not to GOSL and SL Army. So you don't believe in UN also, is it? UN is an unethical organization even to rob things from philanthropist (If you collect something and give them to UN). UN is not sponsoring for government parades and cut-outs. First act and then talk. Not the other way around.

Check out your double standards. When commenting in Youtube (Talking) you are in the forefront. But when you have to take a responsibility, spend your effort, time or money (Acting) you are not even in the queue.

First ask the Government to curb extraneous expenditure: do we really need all these parades? We won the war, okay we get the point, but can we move on now? Do you know that for a one cut-out of President Mahinda & co it costs Rs 10 lakhs? And what about the 24/7 propaganda on TV? Do we need to see the army everytime we switch on the TV? This, my friend, is the post-war political phase: the government is getting ready for the next election, by driving home the fact 'that we won the war!'

You haven't still answer my simple question on UN and your actions. To be frank I am really enjoying this, because it is so funny to stare at your moves to avoid my simple questions. :-D But I feel so sad that I cannot spent much time to see and enjoy your play.

It's not a matter of being secretive or evasive but all to do with not letting SL be a door-mat to the hypocritical Western administration! Why the fcuk would we even consider the request to open SL for their scrutiny when they themselves have a terrible Human Rights track record?!

What point is there, when access is restricted? The government is still 'filtering' out terrorists, and 3 independent doctors are held for just looking after injured patients; Poddala Jayantha was thrown out from a truck beaten by the Government.

The victory at UN was not due to the oral talents of the people you've praised over and over again: but due to the backing of Asian countries who now control the UN. That's why we got away while Israel got an investigation into Gaza. You should ask yourself the question why India, for example, thought it was a good idea to have an investigation on Israel while going AGAINST an investigation in our country? After all, the Israelites were also protecting their country from Terrorism, no?

You have mentioned your age as 24 in your profile, but I feel like the number should be half of that, by reading the above comment. Yes I appreciated the speeches of our diplomats, but I didn't say that it is the main and only reason for the SL victory at UNHRC session. And your statements on Israel issue simply shows that you are unaware of what has happened and I feel that may be you are believing on someone else ideas which you have been told. I will answer that next day.
