I spent a lot of time listening to Janis Ian in the 1970s in between Patti Smith, the Ramones etc. Still have all her albums - vinyl. For me, the beauty of Janis was/is that she is a true musician.

Wow - how beautiful! I can still remember how this song brought tears to my eyes when I was a young teenager - and it still does!

Janis Ian has such a beautiful voice and sings with such meaning. I also love her song "At 17".

Before watching this, I watched the performance of her singing this at 16 years of age. This version sounds a little more thoughtful. Both are excellent. This is a woman who knows her craft - respect.
