I think Freddie had to die . Effy became better without him. Regardless I freakin' love Freddie his death really made good for Effy and this is the drama of the series.

Wow, U guys don't need to attack her. Though killing off Freddie seemed pointless to me, (not like Chris, because he had an illness) the ending would have made sense if it wasn't so abrupt. So I get where she's coming from, and this ending honestly would have made me feel 10x better, with the last Naomily scene added of course. But regardless, freffy fan or not, you have to admit the ending was a bit shit. I mean opinions are opinions, but hop off her dick...

as an obsessive fan to the series i can honestly say that although i wish that series 4 didn't end the way it did but i did appreciate the ending and it did make sense. if you love the characters on a show of course you don't want them to die, you want them to all live happily ever after but that's not the point of the series is it? it's a drama, people will die and when they do you have to accept it. the ending was a huge cliffhanger but hopefully the movie will clear up the things left unsaid.

Freffy, you have got to calm down.As someone who was a victim of brain washing as a child,the ending to series 4 was a huge emotional pull for me.Brain washing exists in a very real way,even on the most subconscience levels,& people who are psychotic,as Effy's character was,are truly more supseptiable.The ending did make sense,

&its ok that you didnt like it, because clearly you're a fan of "Freffy"...but you can not make a false claim that it didnt make sense, because that doesn't make sense.

they have a skins movie coming out very soon based entirely around generation 2, so the whole cook, effy and freddie team :) they will have a little bit of gen 1 so tony will be back hopefully and thank god they are only going to be ONE scene of the new generation - series 5 :) unfortunetly freddie will not be in it :( but at least we can get an insight on all the characters lives and the aftermath as well as unanswered questions!

They still have unanswered questions from seasons two. From season two did Syd ever get back with Cassie? And what about all the rest of the characters? Are Tony and Michelle still together? And why didn't I see Tony in season four when Effy was in the hospital? Tony loves his sister! As if he wouldn't know about her illness. And what about Maxie and Anwar? Will Anwar get a job? They need season 5 to be about the original characters.

Lots of Skins episodes have sad endings: 405, gen 1 ending, 402, 308, etc. These are some of my favourite episodes. the problem with the gen 2 ending is not that it's sad, it's that it's stupid. A brainwashing doctor? A murder that never gets dealt with? It's so over the top and unbelievable that I feel nothing for it.

..am i the only person who actually fucking loved the ending of series 4? it was unexpected. & a mindfuck. this ending is too bloody happy for my taste. skins primarily focuses on the trials & tribulations [& damn good parties] experienced while being a teenager in college. more often than not, life has its way of fucking up in the end.. it's not all sugar all the time. & i think the real finale made that clear.

@efffffffy my problem with the ending isn't that it was sad. The reason I dont like it is b/c it was weird and didn't make sense. It was disrespectful to almost every character and was based around some random third party cartoonish doctor introduced at the last minute. 4x5 and 4x2 both have really sad endings, but I love those episodes. If they wanted to give Freffy a tragic ending that would've been okay with me. I just wanted it to have some sort of purpose and make sense.

i thought it would have ended like cook saving freddie from foster and dies. freddie calls the police, foster gets arrested. the end scene would have been cooks funeral, where all characters come back together. would be sad as well, but not that disappointing.
