i am just a little curious about why you did this as well as the level design i never saw a problem with super metroid and if this is just the same game with levels you made i appreciate the artistic skill but it seems unnecessary.
Why I did what? Play a hack? I didn't create it so don't complain to me. But to answer the questions you asked, Redesign was made because the original was too easy. It was really broken in places (such as using wall jumps to sequence break). Not just that, Metroid is mainly about the exploration, which is why the game itself is humungous. Really, all that's changed is the game's layout for more exploration and the difficulty has been increased. Besides, there's a great hacking community for it.
