I loved AFOS when I was a teen in the early '80s. Became a big fan in 1982. Unfortunately I never saw the original band during the height of their success but saw AFOS circa 1990 at the Strand in Redondo Beach. The band was not the original. The originals already had left and it was only Mike Score with hired hands. I wish I did see the original when I had the chance. Mike S did not push them out of the band. I think they quit. Not his fault. When they reformed I missed them again.

There's a band from Michigan called The Barn Doors that's about to release a cover of this song. Word is the lead singer is a big AFOS fan, and got tired of waiting for another reunion, so he decided to record the song with his band. I saw them a few weeks ago and they played it - sounded great. They're a rockabilly band, but the song sounded awesome.

What is the problem between the original members? They reunited a few years ago, did a few shows, and split. They really need to patch up their differences. They loved the reunion, according to interviews. In fact Paul cried and said "It's a dream come true." I talked to one of them and I really think it's ego. Life is too short for this crap. With so many fans willing to listen AND PAY to see the original 4, do it! They're sitting on a goldmine but waisting time whining about each other.
