Very nice! I used to sing this to my wife. I'd sing something goofy, and she'd say "now sing 'If' ". After almost 30 years together I said good-bye to my girl a few months ago. I ask the attendees at her funeral to sing it with me, one more time. Thanks for posting a beautiful rendition, with magnificent photos. It is an inspiration.

@compwhiz2000 Thanks.  Congratulate your parents for me. We got married in 1982 and "Longer" by Dan Fogelberg was sung at our wedding. I'll bet your parents know that song as well. I'm planning to record a version of it for our 30th anniversary.

but I live in the woods but do charity work and

we love out troops we have a parade when ever

a unit comes home...Cars pull over and salute

them as they drive through to the base...It's really Cool.

@smilerjeff I guess I'm flattered, but your ears are failing you, Smilerjeff. I didn't even really try to sound like David Gates. Go back and listen to David's version and then listen to my other recordings. You will hear that although our vocal ranges are similar, we have very different vocal qualities and style differences. I have made my living as a musician for 28 years and the last thing on Earth I would do is try to pass off someone else's work as my own.
