@Pacman117productions ok so I could say that your a fucking idiot because you have no idea what your talking about and your just trying to be politically correct, but that would be debatable. But one thing I can say thats not debatable is that your a fucking idiot because you think the civil war started in 1867...try 2 years earlier dumbass.
@Scottishamerican1995 I don't support the Confederates I support the union, the civil war in 1867 was the Confederates trying to support slavery and the Union trying to stop slavery. I for one don't like slavery they liked the idea if slavery because they were afraid to do any work. The original Confederates were racist against africans americans
@Pacman117productions Actually you're wrong, my ancestors were poor farmers who fought for the laws and rights in which the south had offered not slavery. The Confederates had more free of laws allowing them too do more of what they wan't. It was'nt for slavery that Abraham Lincoln started the war it's the fact that he wanted all the Southern States to group with the Northern to make a United area in which the same laws can be spread throughout those areas. So slavery is'nt the thing.
@Scottishamerican1995 i'm glad someone understands i always get called racist bc of my rebel flag shirts and i try to explain its not salvery that started the war
@fdgd380 Yeah, it's more of us fighting for our freedoms and the freedoms we want over fighting for slaves I would fight for the south and southern rights anyday but not slavery.
Half a million civilians murdered by the United States in our useless wars of aggression the millions of lives effected by the senseless murder
You say we are a force of good I say history says otherwise
The Confederacy and our belief in slavery was brief it is over and we have apologised for our participation in the ancient institution but if you think we will apologise for the war you started you are going to be disapointed
The south fought to defend oursleves like all of the Unions victoms
Were we the good guys when we murdered millions of Indians certainly they didnt think we were a force of good or any of the conquered people we have stolen from.
How about when we aided Josesh stalin during ww2 we allied ourself with the greatest mass murderer the world has ever known who enslaved half of europe.
How about our time in Vietnam and the million or so Vietnemese that died at our hands certainly they did not see us as a force of good how about now in iraq and afganistan cont
Id also like to point out the Cofederacy did not refuse to recognize Union Soldiers as pows they refused to recognize escaped slaves as citizens of the United States which is a law that existed in the United States before the war.
The higher ups of the Union decided the south ws benifitting more from the exchange as the south had a very limited number of troops while the north had millions.
@pmack169 Camp Douglas was outside of Chicago which never once had a food shortage. There was calculated torture and neglect and it was in no way a result of food shortages or because the prisoners were unruly they were treated like animals while the guards and there watch dogs ate to there hearts content
Andersonville was in a region of Georgia so low on food and supplies civilians were starving to death.
If you want to see Naziesque treatment on American soil all you have to do is look up Camp Douglas during the civil war and read about the 26 THOUSAND Confederate prisoners who died in Union prison camps.
How about the treatment of the Indians and the Genocide courtesy of the United States trail of tears the war on the Commanche, how about the slaughter of the Cheyenne who I am decended from how about the horrid treatment of the American Japs in the ww2 I mentioned not enough I can go on.
The northern United States tolerated Slavery until I believe the 1830s it wasnt just the south who was in favor of slavery.
In the end the United States has a history of nearly a century of slavery and nearly 200 years of Segregation and inequality and you say the Confederacy and there four years of slavery is naziesque lol
I think you should review your oppinions of the stars and stripes my friend.
Also I encourage you to look in to the way the United States treated the Ameircan japs in ww2.
France was beaten, England was on her last legs the war was over but the American intevention changed everything before our intervention both sides had beated each other to a pulp the Germans were going to win UNTIL the Americans sent there fresh troops in to aid france and england.
Now how could America muster enough of an invasion force without the southern states assumeing the United States could have even grown powerfull enough to become even considered a power without the souths agriculture
@pmack169 I dont even know who Harry Turtledove is lol
But any man who has spent any time studying European history knows the Nazi party was founded in response to the German Empire looseing the war the Nazis prayed on the shame the German people felt after they lost the war and was empowered by the peoples of Germany wanted to avenge there loss.
If Germany had won the war the Nazis would never have come to power.
Now during the late part of ww1 the Triple Entente was looseing cont
@pmack169 First off I dont know what novel your talking about second calling the south evil for supporting slavery is pretty hypocritical of you.
The fact the United States of America allowed slavery for nearly 90 years is completely lost on you fools.
You say the Confederacy was the same as nazis and yet you forget the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA had supported it, if the Confederacy was evil for supporting slavery for 4 years then surely the USA is Hitlers wet dream in comparison
Rednecks would rather spend billions in U.S. tax dollars to invade and brutally occupy sovereign nation in the middle east, instead of using that money to help our own people here in America first. Rednecks are pro-war liberals & bullies. Obama is just another liberal with policies very similar to Bush, who was one of the most liberal presidents we ever had. Rednecks are anti-American scum. Spend our tax dollars to create new jobs & heal our economy you retarded hillbilly liberals!
we all should be proud to have the choice to who we are,the fact is , the men who died for their land is the same land we sit our asses on. and look at the shape its in now,all we can do is pick up arms and defend our own and wait cause all hell will break loose
@balletslippers91 This mockumentary was a vision of what could of happened not what would have happened the reality slavery would have lost its purpose in the 1880s due to the invention of modern farming equipment in the 1910s slavery would be useless and would be harmfull to the south.
In the alterreality world war 1 would have been won by the germans and hitler never would have rose.
No genocide of the jews.
The red revolution would have failed meaning no soviet union.
@pmack169 Definitely. Thats why there are a number of electrical plants in the south and not the north. Also why most of the military bases are in the south also. Sure the socialists and liberals of New York would go dancing in the streets, before New York state cracks down on them for being happy and tell them freedom of speech is illegal. If the south were succeed sadly the constitution would go with us. Lol
@pmack169 And oh boy. I can certainly tell theres improvement in the south. Have a road of about the size of a car if you place it horizontally to a vertical road. Oh wait, thats right. New York actually has wasted millions of dollars when it comes to paving their roads because they need a side skirt about the size of a actual lane. Even on Country roads. *Fact
Thats the kind of thing that looks good on paper or a web page. But when you apply it to the real world it can fall apart, and honestly. There are side effects and consequences to everything. Apply it to the real world and you don't know how things go. Its like Communism, looked good on paper, failed miserably when you applied it to the real life workers Unions and farmers.
@pmack169 When the government starts to idealize and balance one state or area above another than the government is no longer doing its appropriate job. For 1.
The only reason why N.Y generates the most wealth is because everyone is overtaxed in order to run the New York City Metropolitan area. If you go to Upstate N.Y, Central, Southern, even out west towards Buffalo, the state is slowly deteriorating in its population. Over taxed, and over regulated.
@pmack169 So is sailing into another country and demand they trade with you are "Reap" what happens....So is unloading U.S. Marines into a country and lock up the Goverment officals untill they gave in and traded with them..so is riding into someones camp and murder people because of the color of their skin..yes the U.S. Goverment is just as dirty as any on earth. All of these things I mentioned were "Acts of war"
AS for the Articals of secession..you being a Coon and all/ts ALL slavery LOL
Dear Negro....It is a lot more to starting a war that "Firing" on a ship for Christ sake. Maybe you will understand this when you grow up. The U.S. Goverment has always "Bullied" the world..that is why we are hated so much. It has always been on a small force, or weaker people as any coward would do.
AS far as the tariffs are concerned..I dont recall even speaking with you about them. I think that I hear your mama calling you to dinner.!! LOL!! I bet that you wet the bed.LOL!
@pmack169 Hey!! LOL!! Thanks for proving my point to everyone. You are not sharp enough to debate on your own so you go to a Southern joke web site and copy a bunch of off the wall jokes...corney..just as #1 a child would do or #2 a IV league black who really thinks that he is sharp but is not. You make yourself way too easy to discover. Thanks again...the world is watching and laughing at you. Yea IV league my butt!! LOL!!
@pmack169 Ill say that you are right on that one..thats why we can take care of ourselves and you Yankees would starve or have to "Turn to the Goverment" to make it. A country boy can survive. Hey, maybe they will give you 40 acres and a mule..Kunta ....I mean Toby!! LOL!! Say it..say my name is Toby!!
@pmack169 You are so silly. #1 The president is NOT a black man. He is HALF black...his mother was a white whore and had him out of wedlock just like Most black babies come from but this one is half black. #2 The president...just like yourself...went to a IV League just because you are black. Affirmitive action..not because you deserve it. That has produced a race of people who just THINK they are more than they really are. That sounds like you. Its is such a sad race always has been. LOL
For 1, the United States would be much better with States Rights.
2nd, have a good time leaving the south. Go on up north and see how much better it is, because brother it ain't any better. Actually, its worst. No matter how unlikely that may seem, trust me, New York is a Liberal Socialist state and in the south at the least you have freedom.
LOL!!~ It is no insult to be twelve years old. You are just childish so I took for granted that you were. You have no desire to know correct history and make some of the most off the wall remarks. You are either a child or you are Black. Someone here just said he must be an educated Black man ..I said that I wouldnt know..Ive never seen one. The office roared with laughter! Now THAT was an insult. LOL!!
@pmack169 That is so silly. You have no desire to know any history except what you have been spoon fed.
The Amendment does state that the Congress could never have the power to abolish it. If the Congress did so, it Really would be cause for secession. I still think that you are a little child. So I will just move on and let you "Play" the silly little child games.
@pmack169 Oh my God...have you ever heard of the Boston Tea party? And it was fired upon to keep the Union from re supplying it. Good try..but our for fathers did the same thing.
I really dont think that anyone can tell of any act whatsoever the Confederate Goverment is guilty of that the Goverment of the United States is NOT guilty of.
Slavery was "A" reason for the war..but far rrom being "THE" reason for the war like some of our self righteous Yankee friends love to think. It must make them feel better about themselves or something.
@pmack169 You are a really really silly person. The 18th. Amendment in NO WAY states that it can not be overturned by Congress. The Cowin amendment DOES. You must have not read the amendment itself. You really do need to before making such stupid remarks. You must be a child or something.
@pmack169 How does the rural farmer that works his 200 acres with his sons and produces enough food for sustinence become dependent upon a slave economy?
By your standard you would then have to believe that the entire world economy was dependent upon slavery, including the manufacturers in the north that needed southern cotton to create their textiles.
perhaps had the northern politicians not taxed southern agriculture so heavy, this whole practice could have been behind us much earlier.
@pmack169 So how does the rural farmer that works his 200 acres with his sons and produces enough food for sustinence become dependent upon a slave economy?

@pmack169 The amendment clearly states that the Congress would "NEVER" have the power to interfear with "ANY" State laws. So who would amend it? Slavery was "A" reason for the war but not "THE" reason.
The Goverment of the United States cared very little about the Black people of this country.
wow, such a complete ignorance of southern culture. Take the following into consideration and keep your mind free of the bonds of the elite. My family has been in the south for ten generations (since the 1600's) and none of them ever owned slaves.
Slaves were not owned by most southerners and they were not owned by those who sought the true American ideal of a new life as these people barely had enough revenue to survive under the new aristocracy of land grants from their wealthy connections,.
@pmack169 Yes there are some very big differences!
Lets assume for a minute that slavery was the reason for the civil war (it's wasn't) It was still only slavery, (that was fast becoming outdated and unprofitable and would have died out on it's own) NOT death-camps.
I'll let this guy explain the finer details to you.
@pmack169 No it didnt pass...not 1 single Southern States voted for it. They were offered slavery forever and threw it into the trash can. So it seems that if the Union was fighting a war to "FREE' the slaves, it would have NEVER been offered to the South. And likewise...if the South was fighting FOR slavery, the war would have never happened. It just proves my point that slavery was "A" reasen for the wae..but by no means "THE" reason for the war.
Offcourse slavery is evil, but to engage in Americas's deadliest war to stop it, while ost of the world abolished it without blooshed is quite frankly riiculous. So in a sense both parties of the war have my sympathies and my objection.
Ok, I uploaded this because it was one of the major scenes in this movie that hadn't been uploaded. I found that this movie was unfair towards southern people, it's simply absurd. I don't believe that an independant confederacy would have managed to keep up slavery more then 20 years or so. Because they would have been faced with embargoes in a matter of decades. Not to mention states such as Virginia only seceeeded once it was clear that Lincoln intended to use military force to get his way.
@BinniLee2 The major plot points of the movie are still based on fact. From the statesmen involved to the plans for invading South America. Slave Labor would have been needed to upkeep the economy, despite the South's promise to potential European allies to abolish it within a short time after what would have been victory (if aid were secured). This movie was based on the strong potential for this course of history.
the civil war wasn't fought for slavery and white supremasy. It was fought because the union putting tarifs on the cotten they depended on and were giving the south no say
I have a question, maybe someone can answer for me. If a territory like Texas or any of the states we know of today were able to vote on wheter or not they wanted to join the union and were not forced to do so, then why was it considered an act of treason by the federalist, for the Southern states to suceed from the union once they had joined? If you look into the money side of the civil war you will see it was about power taxes and control of commerce. Just like the Revolutionary war. Anyone?
This movie uses the wrong flage for the south. The Stars and Bars was the flag for the CSA, not the Confederate Battle Flag that was only used in warfare.
@mr1georg57 If it were up to the south, they'd be preaching god in every school in America, slavery would most likely (its not certain) keep slaves. Poor kids like these would grow to be bible thumping idiots and continue their nations racism and slavery.
This movie is far beyond absolute truth, but it has its points.
I am glad the Confederacy didnt win. We'd be fucked if they did..
@civiccruiser117 You know i don't believe you are a southerner. You are someone that has moved from some ungodly place into the south. From where i don't know. But you are not a southerner by birth in my opinion. For all i know you could be from the middle east.
@HammerOvThor blacks get swift justice, when they get a shitty lawyer...What liberty do you not have? As a white I have the liberty to walk into harlem and yell niggers suck dick!but unless I am armed to the teeth it would not be a good idea. So what liberty do you lack? If i score higher than a black but the quota isn't met I am discriminated against by affirmative action. What liberty do you lack.
Blacks complaining in this day and age is absurd. No white person takes you seriously at all.
Let's put some real history into this attack on southerners. First , the army of the south included blacks , indians and hispanics. Second , they weren't in separate units from whites. Third, northerners always segregated blacks from whites. This didn't happen in the south till after the war.
I've lived in the south my entire life and find it hard to believe this was produced anywhere in Dixie within the last 50 years - what a bunch of disinfo BS
hey see why our children get more an more ignorant as the generations pass. What kind of person would produce such trash and use children to do it. So sad. Man is on the road to destruction and the damage is irreversible. And ppl dont even care thats what hurts the most
Pledging allegiance to any government is foolish, and to include "under god" in any promise is clearly to exclude agnostics and athiests. Loyalty oaths are an attack on personal liberty by any measure.
I am a civil war reenacter and i know for a fact the war was not about slavery that is what the stupid liberals and yanks said. I reenact in the union army and i know this! I love the Dixie flag it is not racist you are racist for thinking it is! And one day after my Military service i will move down to Dixie and stay there for the rest of my live!
Hi from Europe! I thought one of the main reason for the war was the right to secession of each State... then, whay are they saying "indivisible"? Am I wrong?
@saenzlopezdesa "the South fought on account of the thing we quarreled with the North about. I never heard of any other cause for quarrel, than slavery". Col. John Singleton Mosby...CSA
The war was fought over the protection and expansion of slave rights. That was the reason for secession.
@saenzlopezdesa I was expecting them to skip "indivisible," too. Actually, the Confederate States would have probably rejected the idea of a pledge to any flag at all. I don't recite the U.S. pledge, myself. I love America and the United States thereof, but we are divisible - by fifty. God Save Kansas.
@saenzlopezdesa the nation is "indivisible". Dixie tried to become The Southern States. that is why we had a civil war. To keep the south part of the United States. I'm not sure what the uploader is talking about. I think he/she may be confused.
@saenzlopezdesa Ony TEXAS can do THAT again. I, proudly proclaim...that..I was born, raised and still live in the great state of TEXAS. Texas, not just a state...It's a whole other country.
It'd be more like, "I pledge allegiance to the Southern Flag and the Confederation for which it stands. Eleven States, Under God, with Liberty and Justice for all."
@towlebucket Well, they were never really under Confederate Control. If the South seceded again today, I would bet Kentucky would secede as well. Missouri, though...the people are in St. Louis and Kansas City, and with the demographics of those two cities, I doubt it'd happen.
why cant we all get along we all belive in the same god all the same on the inside skin doesn't make you human a heart makes you human and in the morning when you wake up and see the beautiful flag of the UNITED states of american and say the pledge of allegiance just think your saying LIBERTY AND JUSTICE for all we fight for our freedom black or white if they fight for it they deserve it just think if you say your racist and hate black try walkin a mile in their shoes god bless all of you
And what exactly is wrong about this Pledge ? Other from the fact that it's a pleonasm to say "white people" as this is the only kind of people. The rest are livestock ! Up yours, to all those believing otherwise !
Hmmm some people are in denial. God bless America!

Many Northern civilians owned slaves.
Lincolns family owned slaves-his uncle, Mordecai Lincoln, owned a slave.
His father's uncle, Isaac, owned more than 40 slaves.
Lincoln was Jewish, as were most Slave owners (75%) in the South.
Abraham Lincoln married Mary Todd, daughter of a prominent slave-owning man.
When the South started Secession, Lincoln was asked, "Why not let the South go in peace?"
To which he replied, "I can't let them go. Who would Pay for the government?"

The break down was inevitable

@pmack169 Camp Douglas was outside of Chicago which never once had a food shortage. There was calculated torture and neglect and it was in no way a result of food shortages or because the prisoners were unruly they were treated like animals while the guards and there watch dogs ate to there hearts content
Andersonville was in a region of Georgia so low on food and supplies civilians were starving to death.
The guards were starving along side the men.

Nearly every war that has happened since the first world war has been directly influenced by the Brittish and French winning the war.
The Nazis wouldnt have existed there whole platform was based on returning Germany to its formor glory.
The Russian Revolution in turn would have most likely failed.
Of course we can only speculate, however the central powers in Europe would have changed drasticly.
This should be apparent even to people who does not dedicate most of there time to studying history.

The stereotype came about in the the early years of the United States and it limited to the Appalachia region of the south not the south in general.
The stereotype came about due to the extreme distances between settlers.
Inbreeding even then however was not common, like all extreme rural areas on the planet there simply wasnt enough people.

BinniLee2 3 months ago 2
@BinniLee2 The major plot points of the movie are still based on fact. From the statesmen involved to the plans for invading South America. Slave Labor would have been needed to upkeep the economy, despite the South's promise to potential European allies to abolish it within a short time after what would have been victory (if aid were secured). This movie was based on the strong potential for this course of history.

Anyone?
