  • I WANT That Mirror!!! :D

  • i would kinda feel weird walking on the old "America Sings" building floor, knowing what happened to poor Debbie.

  • Added to my 'Disney Favorites' playlist. This is REALLY cool.

  • The 50s were really the first breakthrough of high technology in history and thus they had no frame of reference for accurately predicting how technology would advance.

However, our vision of the future today is perhaps much clearer and more rational.

  • i wish they put all the old games back on the first floor

  • thats nathan lane doing the robots voice.

  • At least disney was Realistic

  • Gotta love the atomic age. :)

  • amazing.

  • WOOT! It's stuff that's actually possible.

  • It's too bad we surpassed all of this. Fully

Except the cities on the cloud lol. Ah the naive 50's mind.

  • David Rakoff wrote a hilarious essay about the bullshit Innoventions house.

    Check it out at bobulate.com

  • 0:12-0:18 it's Tom Morrow

  • too many screens >.< and all the hidden shelves that slowly go out when you push a button or something :\

but the mirror is just too cool! xD

  • That new house is a nightmare. Dozens of lcd screens and more slowly retractable kitchen fixtures? No thanks.

  • i want that mirror

  • what ever happened to the house of the future?

  • Respond to this video... cool mirror!

  • MUMMY I WANT THAT MIRROR!!

  • ..........*runs up stairs* "mom come here i need to show you something!!!!!" *mom comes to the den.."Yes what did you want me to see?" "ya can i have this mirrior for my birthday????PLEASE!!!!! ITS LIKE THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD!!!!"

  • dude that mirror! :D

  • Having a Monsanto Hall Of Chemistry is an atrocity.

  • omg i didn't even know this was in tomorrow land nor in disneyland wat part is this atracttion is???

  • @themikester06 its by autotpia. its a big building you cant miss it.

  • I liked that robot in the beginning. You want analog, digital, hyperactive, Jewish billy crystal knock off robots, you'll love it here! Oy vay.

  • You know, it took them two weeks to demolish that plastic house of the future; they had to do it with hacksaws because the wrecking ball kept bouncing off the sides! The thing was certainly built to last! lol

  • @Thoralmir when did they tear this thing down? Near the end of the video it looks like it's more recent and the first time I ever went there I was 10 and that was 8 years ago and I never saw this any of the times I've gone

  • Monsanto company is a pest and hybrid crop company or is that just another company all together?

  • WAY too many screens for me haha and the only new idea was that mirror

  • I want that CAR!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want that mirror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • o.o I WANT THAT MIRROR!!

  • @kadajcool132 me too ^_^

  • so ...did they do away with the carousel of progress? cause i loved that! that is one of the things i looked forward to. Seeing the differences after a few years..when we were actually catching up with "the future" darniddahades!

  • @looneybun1 They moved it to Disney World, last time I checked.

  • That mirror!

  • darn just missed seeing this i went in february of 2008 for the first time in my life to disney land (i was 13 at the time) and will probably never go again :(

  • u can go when ur older :D

  • @xyrmomx187 I will drive there this summer! mwhaha

  • omg i saw that same guy, in front of the girl's room mirror with the dress, when i went to disneyland on june 16th + 17th

  • wow is that still there? any1 know if it is?

if u know please tell me :)

cause im going in august 4 my bday a

  • Comment removed

  • i meant the other thing with the microsoft stuff inside. i think its called innoventions, right?

    is it still there?

  • No. It's recently been changed to a house of the future on the first floor and a normal innovations on the second floor. I like this a lot better. I haven't been able to see the pre-show due to the fact it was closed when I went there (I sneaked in through the exit). Anyways, this is much more Disney, with all the same cool stuff.

  • chemicals that improve the world

haha, wow i mean that has nothing to do with disney what so ever. insane man, insane.

  • oh my god, now in this vid monsanto was pushed by disney.... check out the site, millions against monsanto, you will see whey they are the most evil company in the entire world.

  • That mirror is so cool!

  • I'd love to see how much all of this costs to repair. A cool snake head thingy that goes into your sink. Imagine looking up the DIY for that one. too much techonology= too much stuff that gets broken!

  • ooooo, i like the girl's room mirror! id love to see what outfit would look good so i could buy it at the mall later without trying it on to waste time!!!

  • i'd love it and play with it lol

  • Wow, this just goes to show, people got less creative as life continued. All I saw was a bunch of LCD screens and tabletop computing. BORING!

  • That home would suck! Am I the only one that really loves the 50's googie style with the cantilevered ceilings, fiberglass curtains, a central vacuum, wall to wall chemtec carpeting, porcelain white metal and glass kitchen cabinents and indirect lights throughout the house?

  • The robot in the beginning is voiced by Nathan Lane!

  • If thats the house of the future with all those screens and other high voltage nick nacks, I wonder what the electricity bill would be!

  • So the family name is Elias and the name of the kitchen is Lillian? Uber tribute to Walt.

  • How can it be that the 1957 Monsanto house of the future, seems more futuristic than today's house of the future? Ultrasound dishwasher, levitating frying pans.... today seems that the only innovations are to have LCD screens everywere.

  • The 1957 Monsanto house was a real house. The new one is NOT a house. Its a interior set like you would see at a furniture store. There are no structural walls or ceiling or foundation. So it is NOT a house. Just furniture, appliances, some finishes. So there lies the major problem. Disney is telling people its a HOUSE OF THE FUTURE when its not a house. I was there. I didn't see a house.

  • By the way, the Monsanto HOUSE was too strong to demolish. The new one can be pushed over by a group of girl scouts, I know because a group of girlscouts were playing around and tipped over (slightly) one of the partitions. They had to empty the room and close it off. The Carousel of Progress that was there originally was awesome - 10 pts. for the original, 9 pts. for the final version at DW, 7 pts. for the middle version with the stupid "Now Is The Time (The Best Time Of Your Life)" song.

  • it was kinda funny when you see all the fat people in the kitchen area

  • well fat people in general are funny.

okay, the thumbs are to the right.

  • well it was funny that they were all in the kitchen

  • and that they were fat.

  • and they were in the kitchen if they were somewhere else it wouldnt seem as funny

  • true fact about this: in the office of the house, there is a chair that is a replica of the one that walt sat in when he created mickey mouse. cant wait to sit in it!

  • i want that snowglobe!

  • The house of the future they had disneyland in the fifites/sixties was actually a real house. the one they have there now is NOT a house. REPEAT. NOT A HOUSE. The one they have now is a few interior sets inside the old Carousel of Progress building. Like something you see at a home show. What a rip off, I guess Disney had to keep their less imaginative employees busy. YOU THINK WE'RE THAT STUPID DISNEY? SHAME ON YOU! And it wasn't even the latest technology.

  • its called microsoft surface XD!

  • the tables you can buy soon microsoft is the manufacturer lolol they cost around 1 thousand though D:

  • that room is so much fun lol i kept messing with the computers there and turning down the lights and changing the music with the touch screen LCD screen till they told me to stop it and to get out of that room lol

  • I cant wait to see this. Should be going to Disneyland in Feb. or March

  • at 6:18. notice the gray box on the left. it looks like a printer but is a 3-D object copier in a way. It uses layers of polymers and plastics to recreate small items such as battery covers to go on back of a phone.

  • :D

    great video.

    i went to this.

    its fun to touch everything

    hahah

  • I LOVE DISNEY

  • I actually heard a rumor that when they destroyed the house of tomorrow they had to use dynamite because of the fact that wrecking balls would bounce off of the walls of the home since they used an enormous amount of plastic. Anybody got any info confirming this?

  • thats balogna. All They Did was take it apart the way they put it together. they didnt just throw away all of the electronics featured inside!

  • Thanks for these really great videos. We just bought season passes (the cheap ones) and look forward to a fun fall winter and spring of disneyland....
