  • @KrazyKrzysztof I like the way you say douchebag. You should say it more often. It should be your thing.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof What kind of microphone technology are you using? When I heard you say shotgun mode and 120 degrees, I became interested in learning more about audio devices. Please tell me more. :)

  • @acbm Hey there. I'm using the Canon 2591B002 DM-100 Directional Stereo Microphone. I don't know much about microphones but the built in camcorder and camera mics are garbage. Had to get something better.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof Thank you bro. Also, check out my channel. I will be doing GIVEAWAYS!

  • do you know when the XP400 comes out? and will it be a better headset than XP500???

  • @SirPaddi Visit my XP400 available for preorder video. It's coming out this month. It's this video watch?v=c1m6ieZYyxY

  • I'm getting the xp400 for the 5ghrz for no interference :)

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks Man It Helped Me Out Alot

  • so whats the difference from the px5 to the xp500

  • @crooky619 PX5 has wired 360 chat cable vs wireless on XP500. PX5 is red XP500 is green. End of comparison :D.

  • blue toof

  • @Blackopsdaily123 It's a black toof now.

  • No, they are on 2.4 ghrz

  • In tht switch bottom what do you think is better Dolby diginal or the other thing you said?

  • @TheWillygstain Dolby Digital or Pro Logic II. I like the sound of DD better.

  • Are you a Russia spy? b/c in Russia we crush you lol jk

  • @xDRE92 In Mother Russia headsets wear you.

  • I'd wait for the XP400's. Why? 5ghrz WiFi transmitter. The XP500's run on the same frequency as most wireless routers and other wireless devices... Which does cause static to the headphones and also causes interference on the other wireless devices. Don't let the smaller number fool you, the XP400's look to be a better buy all around.

  • @superfilapo I have been using the MW3 Delta's (Which is based on the XP500). I haven't really notice much interference. Some minor popping once in a while when my iPhone is checking mail.

  • @superfilapo Never had any static issues with any wireless toy.

  • @superfilapo i think i may be experiencing this issue. let me just clarify, you're saying the xp500s run on the 5ghrz correct? and say my wireless router is running on this same frequency, you're saying this may cause static in the headphones as well as possibly interfering with my internet connection? because i do hear slight static at the end of every round in gow3 when the queen or prescott is talking.

  • I love your videos man keep it up. You are very detailed with the subect and have a sense of humor!

  • @lockerzinforment Thanks for the sub and compliment. Some can't absorb the comedy :D.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof u welcome

  • Good Vid mate, Lots of easy info that you can digest, not like some other vids with overpowering jargon... I have the X41's and the biggest pro about this model for me is that its wireless all the way.. Would u suggest getting this px500 or wait for the next model? Also, do you know how long the wait might be for the next model?

    Cheers

  • @SupaChefKiwi Hey there thanks. The new models are coming out in late march 2012. The XP300 and XP400. Judging by turtle beach's innovation or lack of, the next models will be very similar to the current models so waiting isn't necessary but you can check out my video detailing them on the channel for the features.

  • Like krazy said, I can't believe I'm suggesting Mad Catz, go with Trittons. I believe they are $140ish U.S.D. Or try Sharkoon. I did, and wow am I impressed. But if wireless is a must, go Astro A40's, which are semi wireless.

  • @N3orion I took mine back due to sound. I set the volume high enough in order to immerse myself and the lows(bass) cracked up like eating Rice Crispys. I think the XP500's are underpowered. They seem to need 3 batteries, not only 2.

  • I like the video because he says "bluetoof" a lot ;p

  • Hi mate, did you take yours back due to the comfort issue? I have a set on route, I had a set of tritons (basic wired ones) and find them very comfy. I guess time will tell for me but I am a bit concerned now.

I did only pay £150 for them which in the UK seems a good price.

I enjoyed the video good job.

  • @N3orion Don't worry too much. The wireless solution convenience might bypass the comfort issues. You will notice the sound is different vs tritton so it will be a preference issue

  • @KrazyKrzysztof cheers, I think it will be case of just trying them out, to be honest I will do something with the foam if I need to.

  • @N3orion £150 from where ?

  • @GAZSYTO1 Hi mate

    from here xboxprecision

Free delivery as well. Delivery is a bit slow but it was the best price I could find them.

  • @GAZSYTO1 Just noticed they have dropped to £136!

  • @N3orion awww :D is the site safe to buy from ?

  • @GAZSYTO1 The money is handled by Amazon so yeah no issues for me. I have also had a couple of emails from the guys letting me know when it was shipped and tracking info.

Its 3 gamers who are web designers that set it up. All good so far. They buy small amounts in hence the price can change. I dont mind as it supports independent business and you get a better price.

I am not affiliated with them by the way although I sound it lol!

  • Sorry krazy but if you buy these "you still won't have a good headset"

  • are the batteries charged on the tower?

  • So the only difference between these and the PX5's is that it has a cable..?

  • @MrCameronBinkley These have a wireless bluetooth 360 chat while the PX5 use a cable. It's convenient with the wireless. Also a different color :D

  • @KrazyKrzysztof okay thanks! and also, would you recommend this headset over the Astro A40's?

  • Ok seriously overpriced i could buy an xbox for that!!!!

  • @gcasey141 So what if you can buy an xbox for this price?. You still won't have a good headset.

  • ATH-M30*

  • You are paying for gimmicks and "features" not quality sound. I'd say, in my opinion, that they are inferior in sound quality to a $50 pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40. And those aren't fantastic either. But $250+?! People, spend your money on a true, high quality sound, headset. Sharkoon X-Tatic True, SR's, Astro A40's ect. You want sound quality? XP500's are not it. You want pointless presets(you'll only like preset #4) and other useless features and gimmicks, go XP500's.

  • I'm only one person, one opinion. But, I bought the XP500's a few weeks back @ 8:30pm from Best Buy(they close @9pm here) I wanted to return them by 11pm but had to wait for them to open the next day. Horrible sound for $250+. Horrible sound for $99. Way Overpriced.

  • I really wanted to get this headset til I read the review, thanks for the great information. It's astonishing they don't consider comfort to be an important factor in making a gaming headset.

  • Will you pick up the razer tiamat 7.1? If so.. will you make a review for it?

  • astro a40's are more expensive

  • Turtle beach messed up hard ..Do these Beep after 5 minutes of no audio?? RuINS IT ! Turtle Beach products are fantastically friggin annoying ! My pX3's beep after 5 minutes then shut off. I hold the button again to turn em on. Maybe watch youtube then shut off again. More beeping. Holy shit turtle beach what a moronic design flaw, whoever though of this "feature" should be slapped repeatedly. I keep them on my head, don't like to keep taking them off unless i'm done. Shame..good otherwise

  • @OptimusPrimeXThat's a great feature in my opinion. These are gaming headsets so sound is coming in constantly from the video game. It's an amazing battery saving action. You're trying to use a honda car as a yacht in the water. Off course it won't work as you want it to. But if you think that's annoying then stay away from the official SONY playstation TV. It turns off after like 4 seconds of not receiving any signal from the selected source :D.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof I guess to each their own :D, it does work well to save battery but i feel like if the battery dies i can just plug it in, i don't need beeping every 5 minutes. But The set i have PX3 is extremely comfortable and sounds amazing(amongst other features) i would imagine the xp 500 are similar ( not to deter people from buying ) I feel you with the constant gaming sound so makes sense, but even so i would use an adapter for PC ( two birds with one stone) Hence looking for another set.

  • What kind of camera are you filming with?

  • @MichaelDriskell1997 Canon Vixia HFM40 I believe. Why do you ask?

  • Very Important question here and this could be a deciding factor for me. Can you plug in the wireless dongle into the 360 chatpad? If you can't, this will stop me from purchasing. I have become so accustomed to the way the chatpad makes the controller feel in my hands and the added heft and weight it provides, that it's difficult to game with a controller without the chatpad attached. Can you please provide a pic if you own a chat pad with the dongle attached? Thanks man and nice video!

  • @Delow317XBL You can't use the Chatpad with the wireless dongle.

  • @MrGrimSanto Thanks for letting me know. They really should have taken that into account. It's almost a deal breaker for me, because I find it very akward using a controller without the chatpad attached. It just makes the controller feel better in my hands and gives it more weight and heft IMHO. So what are options? The talkback cable plugs into the headset by my ears and into the chat pad? My choice will be between The xp500's or the Astro A 40 Mix amp.

  • Comment removed

  • @Delow317XBL I tested the Chatpad last night (Since I own one), It worked well with the wired cable.

  • Your video sucks because you look like a Russian spy, hahahaha jk it's a good video

  • To add on here you can get XP500 for £180 at Amazon

  • gayest intro ever

  • Ok thanks man. Ur Like the only person who makes videos that actually help me out

  • Aren't*

  • What's the difference between the digital and line in? Rent they for the same thing.. To connect to the tv?

  • @TheWillygstain Digital is the 5.1 dolby digital optical source and line in is simply stereo 2.1.

  • I'd take the Tritton, even though I despise Mad Catz, AX720 anyday over the XP500's. I was very disappointed with the sound from the XP500's. Way, way over-priced.

  • @superfilapo You sound just like me in that line lol.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof Are these really overpriced? I know they're $250 but it's seems like a amazing deal with all this stuff, I only have the X12's but with these it seems like you will literally dominate the game.

  • One question is this headset better than tritton 7.1 if anyone has an honest opinion

  • are these rechargable??

  • @Livejkdie It accepts AA rechargeables. You do the recharging with third party tools though.

  • @StrongBabyHulk Yup you can connect it to your DS that way.

  • Yes

  • can i use these on my pc???

  • They are the same as the PX5 unless you have a 360... then the XP500 will provide chat with no chat cable.

  • There are optical switch adapters that will allow you to switch between optical inputs effortlessly.

  • Is this better than the px5

  • I liked this video because you look like a Russian spy!

  • So there's no way to get sound from your PC using only the Bluetooth?

  • @KillshotJon you wont get dolby digital with bluetooth though

  • @KrazyKrzysztof but it WILL supply stereo sound?

  • @KrazyKrzysztof To be clear, I want to be able to use it as both an Xbox AND PC headset. I'd like to leave the optical receiver connected to the Xbox, while being able to use the Bluetooth function to game and chat on my laptop. That way I don't have to go about hooking and unhooking cables when I want to change activities. I don't care if the Bluetooth doesn't support Dolby digital on the PC, I just need to be able to hear the game I'm playing and talk to people on Skype. Will that setup work?

  • WTF! It chopped & cut my post! And posted it like 5 times. Sorry.

  • @superfilapo Hahahaha :D

  • I just ordered my headset for my XBOX 360 SLIM with a 320 hard drive and I can wait to see how well it plays Bluetooth with the playstation Vita when I get my headset I will upload a video to show everyone how to use it with the playstation Vita

  • @greekscarface97 Definitely as long as your PC has an audio optical out plug

  • i thought about buying this headset, just like a kill confirmed, it's a buy confirmed!!!

  • i like your honest opinions

  • Two questions:

    1) Can it be hooked up via USB (PS3)

    2) Is it good for soundwhoring?

  • @Lava2007Gaming You hook up the wireless transmitter to your ps3 simply for power. The sound is delivered through an optical audio port from ps3 to transmitter. Game chat is transmitted through bluetooth. Yes it's good for soundwhoring.

  • @Lava2007Gaming ps3 its wireless and its epic for soundwhoring

  • tritton's or turtle beaches ? can u tell me best headset for the sound whoring ? sorry about my bad english :D

  • Worst part about the XP-500 is when listening to music from a synced phone, it sounds like crap. And you cannot listen to music and listen to game audio at the same time. You can have both synced, but you cannot use them at the same time.

  • @futredoctr Actually you can't listen to music and in game voice chat at the same time because they both use your bluetooth source. You can listen to in game audio and ipod music at the same time though.

  • Sounds like i should get the XP500 I do like variety, and money isn't a issue....thanks guys

  • Comment removed

  • God I'm confused, either I'm stupid or wat, but wat is the difference between the XP 500 vs PX 500....which should I buy please help...

  • @wesmattcar85 Hey a guy just asked that. Read the last few posts on here.

  • Important Question. Which headset is better, XP500's or PX5's? Cuz idk which one to get, i know there kinda the same but the price is different. I dont really care about the price, so which one should i get? PLEASE REPLY BACK !

  • @iTsFrostyHD PX5 has a wired xbox 360 chat cable while XP500 has a wireless. PX5 is red XP500 is green.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof Yeah i know that the XP500 is wireless and green, and the PX5 is wired and red, but which one would you get if u didnt have either one?

  • @iTsFrostyHD It depends what console you game on. If you play ps3 then get the px5 to save some cash. If you play 360 then you need the XP500 for a truly wireless solution.

  • Gears controller FTW

  • I bought these off a friend where do the batteries go in these things T_T

  • Great vid! I'm thinking about buying me one of these awesome headsets, not really sure which one to pick, but great vid!

  • Localisation wise, would you say the turtle beach headsets are better than the ps3 headsets ?

  • @beyonnn Which ps3 headsets do you speak of besides the official sony 7,1? Localization and sound is general is amazing with these. Definitely a step up over the official sonys.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof I was referring to the official sony 7.1. That's good to know, I'll definitly give these a try. Many thanks for the quick reply !

  • @KrazyKrzysztof What about the px3's? are they the same just without the stand?

  • reall? comfort issue? i bought the Px5's. Exact same design and i've played 6 hour intervals without any pain at all. not even the slightest hint. try adjusting the headset more and putting your ear in diffferent placements. maybe like in the ear muff rather than under the cushion. if ur head is too small or big and you cant adjust it so ur ears are in the middlet it is not the turtle beaches fault. The xp500's and PX5' are by far the best headsets available with no flaws from what i've seen.

  • @Tyler412324 Post a pic of your ears so I can better guide the queries from viewers. They fit me perfectly and I have small ears which don't stick out. Maybe your ears stick out more causes more comfort? who knows.

  • is the bluetooth good for things like an ipod touch for listening to music as i am always listening to it and also i hve the turtle beach x31 and am thinking about getting the px5 or the xp500... what would you recomend (price no option) but i would like good quality sound

  • @crooky619 Yes the bluetooth is great for any music like your android cell phone, ipod etc. You can also play your game and listen to music at the same time.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof is it possible to hear game sound, music sound and still be able to chat with the wired mic

  • @crooky619 No

  • Can you show us how to set this up to pc using the headset mic for the pc.

Also would like to know how can I hook this up to pc so that all my movies are in 7.1 how can I get 7.1 from my pc to headsets can you make a video to show us thanks

  • I just downloaded the software for creating my own presets. I was listening to some music and at setting 4 is was pretty good. I know the headset is designed for game environments but I think it has potential to be a great music headset as well. I did a quick search and didn't find any user created presets for this headset. So i'll give the software a go and see if I can come up with something good.

  • about the comfort. It looks like the headset in the video has a sort of leather like covering. The set I own is covered in a cloth mesh material and is very comfortable. When playing Red Dead Redemption I have no problems hearing where the bad guys are coming from. The only issue I have with this set is that it burns through batteries fast. I use Eneloop rechargables. They seem to last a bit longer than others.

  • @tikigirl The headset definitely LOOKS comfy as hell! but I tested like 9 headsets and turtle beach comfort came out below average. Once again off course it could just be me but my ears are far from weird. They're small, they don't stick out much. With tritton and sharkoon I don't feel anything after hours. I did keep the comfort issue modest in the review

  • @KrazyKrzysztof I also forgot to mention that I use the headset with my PS3. It has built in BT so no adapter needed. I have read in some reviews that people are getting some crackle noise from the BT. I've noticed this also but remedied the problem by switching from Dolby PL llx to Dolby D. This make me think that the crackle isn't from the BT but rather the IR signal. Maybe the base unit isn't getting the right Dolby signal from the PS3.

  • what battery does this use?

  • does the wireless transmitter interfere with wireless router for your internet

  • @idontcare481 I never get interferences but there's always a possibility

  • @KrazyKrzysztof I Get interference with my px5's but im now trying to find a perfect spot so it wont cut out as much.

hopefully the new transmitters for the xp300 and 400 will work with the px5's and up.

i was told no though :(

  • Im geting this headset tomoro thanks this video really helped

  • should i get this or the Astro A40's?

  • @Madskillzice420 I replaced my Astros with this headset. And I am happy, much better quality.

  • Is the mic on this sensetive and bad as the x12's

  • @AyeeJustinn Never tried the x12s but the microphone is top notch in this.

  • A40's this piece of crap

  • Try a40's

  • A40's > any TB

  • This is disappointing. I was hoping to use the limiting feature of this to make footsteps louder. I have the Astro A40 but I like that I can chat with people on my PC using Mumble/TS/Vent and also chat on the XBOX.

  • Do you think the pressure on your glasses causes the ear pain?

  • @scootersound I highly doubt it. Every headset known to man squeezes your glasses a bit in order to sit on your head yet there's no comfort issues besides with turtle beach. Maybe Turtle Beach has sadists working for them so they like causing us ear pain :).

  • what the hell is "bluetuuuf"

  • A40s ftw

  • @KrazyKrzysztof i really liked this review. it was really thorough and honest... the Tritton Warhead 7.1 is coming out soon and i am thinking about getting the warhead or the px500. when the tritton's are released, could you do a review for those as well? i do realize they're expensive, but if you're going to buy them anyway, a review would be awesome.

  • @MR1stinga If it's Tritton then I want it so definitely will get the warhead

  • I didn't have time to watch full video, but is there a way to charge the headset?

  • @rootwo62 Lazy fuck.

  • I got logitech F540's and they were wireless. It screwed up my xbox live connection. Did these ever do that to you?

  • @verhappytoast I never had wireless interference. I don't think anyone had any issues in the comments here with this headset like that.

  • I dont like this video.... you look like a russian spy! :D

  • It also requires AA batteries for the headset... how is the battery life??

  • Well sorry for the harshness but you know ive been trying to fix them for ages and ive got them to work but can i also ask is there a possible way to hook them up to pc ive been trying for two hours...

  • @GodlikeGoose You need a optical port on your computer's sound card. You can purchase a simple external one for like $30 I believe.

  • i got a set of xp500 and i hate them, they are cool in talk but honeslty to me they dont back it up stupid hunk of crap doesnt even work everytime we fix a problem oh look another one....

  • @GodlikeGoose Can you post your problems. I had no problems with it but the comfort was mediocre.

  • @GodlikeGoose maybe u have it set up wrong slick

  • I am doing well thanks for asking.

  • i am thinkin about getin a headset for my ps3 like the xp500. what kind of headset would you recomend for me?

  • @LegitLegend1235 Check out my headset buying guide video or article on my website headsetgamer com. There's a few categories you have to consider.

  • DAMN YOU RUSSIAN SPY :p

  • this mic sux i have it and its worthless

  • @drisurk not if u talk clear

  • so can you use this for pc?

  • @marcsman07 Yes your pc needs an optical audio plug.

  • @KrazyKrzysztof ok thanks :)

  • So is there a cheaper option giving the same audio performance without the use of presets?
