No money to make? The Confucian Institutes should add Chinese music into its curriculum if it hasn't done yet. The CCP Government should subsidize it. Search for "cultural deficit" in Chinese.

No, I don't think pretentious, it's just not Cantonese. Skill coupled with the right ornamentation and feel IS traditional. It takes, much skill to play Cantonese music.
