Where the heck is this from? It reminds me of those old novelty video dictionaries on CD-ROM awhile back.... back when they were still called "CD-ROMs".
I miss DOS. After hundreds of hours of frustration and learning, I finally reached a level of computer expertise that ordinary humans never make - kind of like being a techno-mage. Curse you Windows! A pox be upon all your creators!
I remember the days when every card was set up using a bank of jumpers and a manual full of tables which you were screwed if you lost because there was no internet back then. Tracking down IRQ conflicts was a dark art.
@LukeSkyscraper Those days were fun as hell. I kind of miss the days when using a computer, beyond its most basic functions, was an arcane art. People would think you were a genius just because you knew how to edit config.sys and autoexec.bat.
How many centauri does it take to change a light bulb?
Today, only one. However, in the grand old days of the centauri republic thousands of servants....(you know, they never actually finished that entire joke).
I'm happy to get the Beta 12 Joke :p makes me feel like a true fan. That or the comedy of Rebo and Zuti also confuses centaurians very well. Zoot zoot.
Back when I was using a MAC LC475 I had a short vid of Lennir saying that only one thing was impossible. It had to do with certain settings on a IBM Windows machine.
I think this was a poorly transferred copy of that video.
For those wondering, it's, brought up in a discussion between Garibaldi and Londo during the first season, about Earth being a "lost" Centauri colony (before Earth met any of the other races)
@SiriusMined What's sad is its actually the other way around. "We thought your world was Beta 9, it was actually beat 12. Okay, i'm sorry. We made a mistake. Here, open my wrists." ... I know, it's pathetic.
Where did this come from?

Q: "How do you confuse a Centauri?"
A: "Point him to Earth and tell him its Beta 12"
(Any true Babylon 5 fan should get the joke rather quickly.)
gribae 3 years ago 110
As a true B5 fan, I think that's terribly funny. ...But does that mean I have to open your wrists now?
mattbcl 3 years ago 7
Since I'm not a Centauri, opening my wrists, I'd die, so it's probably beter you find someone else to try it on
