I hope you can feel a difference between the cars in this game. in the 2006 CE, all the cars drove basicly the same. And i hope that you don't have to go though that horrible pit stop minigame. It would be more fun to drive into the pit box yourself. Break at the right point and then drive off as fast as possible when the lollipop guy sends you off.

Well i've watched a couple of vid's on this now,and how the weather effects are 'state of the art' . But no (modern) racing game ever inputs a crash model that make me want to turn the car 180, drive 200kph+ in the reverse direction down the main straight at the on coming cars, and be able to watch the pieces of metal and tyres float downward from the heavens in a frame by frame replay :(

I will buy this... but only because the makers of Forza / GranTurismo havent brought out a F1 game... wish they would because their physics engine's own, but i will hold my breath on this 1... lets wait and see how it plays first.

How the hell are Codemasters the "master of racing games"? Their can't code physics for shit. Dirt 2 was just barely acceptable. Codemasters makes racing games for the inept gamer who can't cope with the fact that braking and weight transference is a crucial part of actually driving a car at the limit.

I bet you anything, that CM could literally make this F1 game nothing but quicktime events and, and as long as it had amazing graphics, idiots would praise it as a "masterpiece".

I dunno. I have high hopes for Codemasters making an F1 game. I mean GRID was a masterpeice, and the demo for Dirt was really good as well. I think if anyone is going to make a good F1 game it will be Codemasters. Just hope that they improve the physics from the single-seaters in GRID, the one part of it I wasn't keen on (apart from the drift races, but I think that was more to me just being shit!)

Codemasters already got a great engine, the EGO engine. That means that they don't have to put as much work into the graphics and focus on the gameplay and handling, and if there's one thing i've learned from Codemasters previous racing games, it's that they know how to make car handling

why are they using the same game engine as Grid and Dirt? They are arcade games and F1 should be all about simulation to satisfy the F1 fans. The ego engine codemasters use is nothing compared to gran turismo's engine or SuperCar challenge's eutechnyx developed game engine... or even the F1 2006 game engine.

It's a shame that KERS flopped this year. Sure Ferrari and McLaren still used it towards the end of the season but the potential was awesome. A "boost" button on an F1 car? That thing's goin vertical if it gets any faster.
