  • Thumbs up if Emergency in A & E brought you here

  • "Telstar" was one of Meryl Streep's, ooops, sorry, Margaret Thatcher's favourite tracks !!

  • Thank you for this great uploading!

  • The names on the picture at 2:43 aren't right, are they? The one on the left has to be Heinz, I think.

  • @SolarisUrbinoFan The names on the picture are correct.

  • I must say that I like the original better (no disrespect intended).

  • I came looking for this song because I saw Roger LaVerne on an episode on "24 hours in the E.R." on BBC earlier today. I never heard of the tornadoes before but this is pretty cool :)

  • @theTardisrules Yes, very cool, but remember this is a re-working of the original. The original 1962 release is in a class of its own. There are many uploads of it on YouTube.

  • @theTardisrules me 2! :P i'm watching that episode right now! :P

  • @theTardisrules Me too! Except it's on right now in Australia. Never herd this song either. Cute lil ol' man though.

  • @georgegrasser Don't you mean George Asser?Wot a tosser!

  • the first british hit before the beatles came in 1964 ,,the tornados hit no# 1 in 1962

  • sorry but to me this sounds like a instrumental karaoke. check out "joemeek304" version.

  • The first ever British group to reach No. 1 in the US chart!

Congrats & RIP Joe Meek! A true legend!

  • best sound quality of this song yet

  • @smithylvs This sounds like a synth rerecorded version

  • At 20 years old i love this track, got into this track because i heard a cover done by the ukranians which i really loved and decided to find the original.

  • @NeonNightsGirl and me lol

  • Just seen the organist of this group on 24 hours in a and e :)

  • Love Telstar as remember seeing them playing it live in the 60's . Great tune and they had the best singer ever Billy Fury.

  • @carolfury The Tornados were an instrumental band, so didn't have a singer. They were, from February 1962, for the best part of two years, Billy Fury's backing band, simultaneous with being stars in their own right.

  • Dnload the audio from this tune at thetunify doht cohm.

  • yes thats what brought me still mind of tornados used to like them still do

  • I think that sudden bump in views because their Keyboard player happened to be on a tv show about a hospital in the UK

  • Awesome Post ! I too had no idea this existed. Some Tornados Fan i turned out to be ? Thank You so Much for Sharing it with us :)

  • They did it the best...this is great...I didn't know it existed.

  • How many of you were brought here by MUSE?

  • Kept expecting Rolf Harris to say 'Do you know what it is yet?' Sounds like a Stylophone! :-)
