I came looking for this song because I saw Roger LaVerne on an episode on "24 hours in the E.R." on BBC earlier today. I never heard of the tornadoes before but this is pretty cool :)
@theTardisrules Yes, very cool, but remember this is a re-working of the original. The original 1962 release is in a class of its own. There are many uploads of it on YouTube.
At 20 years old i love this track, got into this track because i heard a cover done by the ukranians which i really loved and decided to find the original.
@carolfury The Tornados were an instrumental band, so didn't have a singer. They were, from February 1962, for the best part of two years, Billy Fury's backing band, simultaneous with being stars in their own right.

Love Telstar as remember seeing them playing it live in the 60's . Great tune and they had the best singer ever Billy Fury.
