  • If I ever get a house with a yard, I would love to do this(I got a few years though, still in the college dorms lol). You're an inspiration really :) It's nice to know there are good people in the world like you helping them.

  • A great idea using running water. Cats love running water because it's cleaner and fresher than water that's been sitting. Hey, even feral cats are finicky. Really admirable effort here. I salute you. BTW, did you cut the holes in the fences for the cats? That's another terrific idea.

  • @79barkingspider- Thanks. Yup.... ANNA (cat with two color eyes) only likes to drink running water. And you saw correctly, those are cat shaped holes in fence. On other side of fence, it reads: CATS ONLY! The holes in fence lead to my neighbor. She feeds the feral cats in the morning, and I feed in the afternoon. Thanks for checking out my video. --stu

  • Very nice video...thank you for managing your local feral cat colony!!!

  • Bless you. Spay and nueter.

  • instead of looking after feral cats dont let ur cats become feral. if u cannot handle ur cats or ur cat had kittens give them to a pet shop or shelter (preferabl;y non kill) dont jsut abandon them on the street etc. Dont let ur cats be out door cats as the can runny away and become feral. feral cats = fault of humans :)

  • @TheRivalConcept: AMEN brother/sister. I trapped about 30 feral cats from this old navy base and had them sterilized... no telling how many more feral kittens this prevented from being born.

  • @BLUEstuartist yeah i heared they do that in australia too. most feral cats are desexed and released cuz RSPCA etc dont have enough space an well...older cats aint so much in demand unlike lil kittens. I know u can tame feral cats but not many people have the time to do so. But the blue and white long haired cat and the bi eyed white cat seem really friendly for feral cats.

  • If I had the money I would build a shelter for ferral cats.

  • @holtridge - that would be a great use of extra money!

  • Thanks for posting this and for being a kind person to take care of these feral cats. Their all beautiful!

  • @rommelandlori8179 - Thanks for your encouragement and kind words. Three of these ferals have found there way to live indoors my house. :P

  • @BLUEstuartist I just want to say thank you for doing what you can for these ferals. I trapped three myself and actually took them into my home once they were neutered/spayed, got their shots, tested for feline leukemia. Out of the 3, 2 are doing pretty good, one is progressing much slower. One is very affectionate and loves to be petted and neck scratched, etc. My heart breaks 4 feral cats. Its because of humans they these cats suffer and live a very harsh life.

  • o wow.

  • the third cat in the beginning is all

    "ohai paparazzi."

  • nice video , I have a colony of ferals as well i feed them every morning n night winter ,spring ,summer and fall . They are have been trapped n nuterd in Worcester m Ma.

  • God Bless you for all you do for these poor babies! I am in the same situation? I am taking care of 10 cats that live in the woods .I am at my wits end trying to figure out how to help them?one is pregnant and i am trying to figure a way to save these poor creatures? please people, if you don t want your animals drop them at the APL or PLEASE at least have them spayed or neutered before you dump them. They suffer unless someone comes along and takes care of them. God Bless you for your efforts!

  • Nice video of a feral cat colony.

  • Cute video of a feral colony.

  • My new favorite video. Good music and cats!!!

  • Love your video. We need a TNR program here - money would go farther if we did it with a charity. We never had cats when I was little either. I didn't know what I was missing!

What would you say to a person who says "I feel bad for dogs that are abandoned because they have been domesticated enough to have to rely on humans for everything. Cats are a different story though."

  • I love that the kitties use the water fountain! My feral colony has to drink out of an old tub and share it with horses!

  • Thank you for your compassion!

  • bless bless u i help my stray and feral cats in the nabor hood they trust u & me

the world needs u and me, and many more.

  • Cats are very special creatures and deserve better treatment and care from humans. Shame on the human race.

  • God Bless you. The world needs more people who care about these little guys.

  • WHIT CAT DAVID BOWIE KITTY

  • Beautiful cats. I live what you and other people are doing. =D I was never really into cats until I got my own. There aren't any feral cats around where I live. But I now look a cats a different way.

  • you are absoultely right..there is a saying..once a cat goes in your heart you are never the same..only to be better...so true..I heard this many times, they are abosuletly amazing animals..

  • Thank you for feeding these cats. You;re a good man.

Some other ppl on youtube treat cats so badly it makes me wanna cry.

  • i know right

  • Great job with the video and even better job caring for the kitties. . I was wondering if I could post a link to your video on our site which advocates for stray and feral cats. the organization is called pawswatch if you want to look it up. you would make a wonderful role model!

  • lucky cats! thanks for helping them.

  • YOU RULE!!! Keep doing nice things for your homie cats!

  • where is the old navy base at?

  • I love cats. You are such a blessing to these creatures.

    friend,

    -- ruben

  • Beautiful cats! Great video too.

Bless you Stu for what you're doing. We've trapped and neutered or spayed over 20 in the last few years. We've adopted them or found them homes and brought most of them inside full-time. It's really inspiring to find other people involved in similar efforts.

  • Thanks David. Honestly, I was never much a cat person until I became involved in getting these ferals "fixed" so they could not reproduce. Three have found there way to live indoors fulltime, while the rest of the colony is content outdoors. Good luck with your cats! --stu

  • This is a cool video !Cute and healthy looking cats ! Hey, was that you as the camera person?? If so ,they really seem to trust you ! --Riley

  • Hi Riley--

Yes, I was the camera person. Thanks for the compliments. I have been feeding these ferals for over 4 years so they trust me... especially at feeding time! These feral cats are from an old navy base near my home. I personally trapped over 25 and had them spayed and neutered. Homes were found for the ones that were friendly.

  • Cool !I'm very glad to hear that you are doing such a nice thing for them !Good luck with them in the future ! --Riley

  • did you try to find them homes? or spay neuter?

  • Hi busafwine--

These feral cats are from an old navy base near my home. I personally trapped over 25 and had them spayed and neutered. Homes were found for the ones that were friendly.

  • What do you feed your feral's?

  • We feed them just a combination of wet food and whatever dry food is on sale. No special diet for these cats...

  • they poop stink as hell!!

  • haha... i guess this means your poop smells like roses??!?

  • yeah!.. but i use the toilet bowl and they use your yard!...DONT GET ME WRONG! I LOVE CATS!.. I JUST HATE THE WAY THEY POOP EVERYWHERE AND IT REAKS MEN!

  • haha greenpalaka... i was just teasing ya. I was not a fan of cats until these feral cats invaded my neighborhood. I trapped about 25 and had them spayed and neutered to stop the endless cycle of kittens. They are much healthier now.

  • You can lay chicken wire down in your flower beds and garden, and cover it with mulch. The cats will not poop there because they won't be able to dig. It works great.

  • @EbolaV1rus great idea chicken wire i;ll have to try that and also have my neighbors try it next spring I have a colony of ferals in my back yard and they tend to go in all the garden in the area we have tried so many things . Thanks for the suggestion

  • I hate those cat shelters where they believe that there should not be any cats living in hte world (unless they live in someone's house), and kill about 80% of all cats that enter them. They pretend to be humane organizations that care for animals, but in reality, they are evil organizations who hate animals and want to kill as many as possible. Usually, a healthy young kitten entering a shelter is killed that same evening.

  • Hey, Whats the song?

  • This song is "never there" by cake.

  • thats cool that your doing that! just don't bring them in the house or de-claw them and they will live happy lives! they probably ThunderClan.

  • THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT! a warriors fan!

  • great job!

  • THE CATS LOOK VERY HAPPY THANKS TO YOU.

  • wow, that one cat had gray an yellow eyes.

  • God bless you for what you do...I have three cats and my neighbor cares for about 20, animal welfare people come to the neighborhood and give meds and flea treatments, and they spay and neuter for free...and we also have an older gentleman who brings bags of food for free. these cats are so wonderful and precious once you get to know them

  • those who truley want to help will afford it. i have a feral colony of about 12 at my job. all fixed for 20 bucks each from a local animal rescue group. i have fed all of them every day for 2 and a half years. it costs me about 75 dollars a month. my wonderful husband just built them a new bigger shelter yesterday loaded it up on his truck and drove 30 miles to take it to them.----think occasionally of the suffering from which you spare yourself the sight...then do something about it

  • Thank you for being a great caregiver to your colony. I am fortunate that I was able to get all these ferals fixed for free at my local shelter. One of my ferals just let me pet him... it took 4 years for him to decide maybe I am alright after all. LOL. Cheers!

  • i thought feral cats were scared of humans.

  • Hi.. sorry for the long delay. Yes, ferals are very shy of humans. I've been feeding this colony for over 4 years so these cats are used to me. They know I bring their supper and warm blankets. ;)

  • They look very healthy. It's nice to see people who can afford it taking care of feral cats.

  • We have a feral cat that asks for food "meow" but does not let us pet it. Two, three feet away is as close as we can get for now. It selected us three months ago.

You are cool to look after the cats like that.

  • What pretty ferals you have.....

  • Aw, so nice of you to take care of them.

  • Oh, your ferals are beautiful! The one drinking from the fountain looks just like my Lovey.

  • I'm not sure if you can tell in the video... but this cat, Anna, has one blue eye and one yellow-green eye. She's a sweetie... took almost a year for her to allow me to pet her.

  • They're such handsome kittys! Did you know that a group of cats is called a clowder?

  • gosh a "clowder"??!?!? I've never heard this term. THANKS! Plus, I'm studying for the GRE... maybe clowder will be on my test!

  • I love this video! What a bunch of happy feral cats! Goood job!!

What is that song in the video?? Love it!

  • I feed feral cats many years and they bring

me there kittens and the little cats are not

afraid! My dream is to save all human beeing

and animals !No more hunger or cruelty!

    Thanks for this video!

  • suppose you were a feral cat, just looking to survive and do what nature for all time and instinct is telling you to do. Would you want to be captured, then taken to a strange place, pass out, and wake up with your pebbles messed with so they don't work right?

  • Hi ShunnedCookie-- haha...I agree your scenerio is not ideal. However the beauty of TNR (trap-neuter-RETURN) is the feral cates are RETURNed to the place where they were trapped. In my case, RETURNed to my "strange" neighborhood...the really home they've known. To clarify, my neighbhorhood butts up against the navy base that was closed, and then demolished. The feral cats "invaded" our neighborhood when they lost their vacant buildings...

  • Oh well :3 since most people don't want feral cats around, I hope they like rats and mice alot better....

  • nice.

  • this is

  • Stu this is Great!!!

  • beautiful

    well done!!

I also feed in israel (check out my video)

  • I posted another video for you of "BadKitty" and my chihuahua, Pebbles. You can see how much that silly chihuahua tamed that cat!@ That cat did not have any human or animal contact until that chihuahua started to play. Oh, the feral cat now comes to sleep in the house, I will leave the door open for it, and it will sleep on the sofa. Once or twice it has wandered into the bed room and slept on the bed (for an hour!).

  • Dude i really admire the fact that ur helping these poor fellas, but if u really want to help'em plz make sure that they are spayed or neutered. Otherwise the local animal shelter will just snatc h em up one dayand have them put down due to some shit abt cat over population. (Those bastards took and probably by now killed all 5 of my ferrel cats cause they werent neutered) So please man just get them Neutered if they arent Neutered yet.

  • hi Brown Flames, Sorry to hear your cats were taken from you! In the video discription, Stu says they are all "TNR" <TrapNeuterRelease> When they do that, they will cut the ear to show that the cat has been fixed.

  • Thanks for checking out my video... yes, I trapped and had all 20 of these cats fixed (for free) through my local animal shelter. Sorry to hear your shelter was not helpful.

  • yes! BRAVO! That is what people are supposed to do (in a perfect world). When they are TNR ("trap/neuter/return") they don't make noise, they don't wander, they don't make bad odors, and they just LIVE HAPPILY, and don't bother anyone. GOOD FOR YOU to take that initiative to trap them and fix them all! Here in NYC, the ASPCA offers free traps, and free spay/neuter.

  • I posted a vidoe to show you my feral cat, he looks just like your grey and white fluffy tuxedo one (at 1:45). ! We had over 200 cats here, and they were ALL "TNR" trapped, neutered, released. This is a GREAT video! I like the movement that matches the music!

  • AWESOME video!! Oh my gosh.. I LOVE the cat shaped openings!!

  • it s a great video,and very nice cats.

  • ^.^ great video! but i think you should stop smothering the camera in the cat's faces. they might run away.

  • -- haha, you're probably right! I don't know if you can tell, but the white cat has two different colored eyes... I named her after my niece who has two different colored eyes as well...

  • yes, i noticed.

  • also, don't you just wish to take your cats to one of those indian rat temples... oh man.. that will make a great youtube video:D

I can bring my 6 cats along for the carnage :D

  • sweet cat doors

  • wonderful!!!

  • thats so sweet

  • Awesome!

  • Great video. What a nice upbeat way of showing off this adorable colony (-:

  • Fabulous!
