Eye-Contact Question: I have always struggled with Eye-Contact. Did you have a very difficult time learning that? For one thing, you are talking into a camera. Whenever talking into a camera, sure, no problem...My Eye-Contact is fine...but try applying Eye-Contact to a social situation when I start getting just a little bit nervous and it's all over. Is this the same way for you or were you trained to give good Eye-Contact and did you struggle with it a lot or did this skill come easier to you?
How does aspergers affect serious relationships? Are people surprised to find out you have it? Does it make any difference? What is it about you that makes you able to overcome obstacles aspergers causes you?
how ironic... i always thought i had aspergers... ppl even thought i did but... doctors said i dont... and im jus finding this out now at 21 lmao. apparently its jus tourettes, now if only i could find a tourettes girl to answer my questions :D haha
@mistiggykins That's actually a good question to ask. I do know that AS is very often accompanied by other diagnoses, both physical and mental. I thankfully don't have anything adding on for me (one condition is enough to deal with) but it is very common and I hope AspergersGirl can answer your question.
Hi AspergersGirl, I have been diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome too.
My question is: How do you react to people who don't believe that you have Asperger Syndrome/Autism, and they claim that you're normal or making it up?
here's a question, whats ur number? ;) haha i actually have a question tho, for some reason i was rly gifted as a kid, grade 14 level when i was grade 7, jus wonderin, do u excell in any areas like r u rly good at any subjects or kno anyone like that? its funny im like genious in my head but translating to reality its like the bridge is broken lol
@Infanterie u completely lost me... cuz knowing that i kno nothing is pretty much how i live... i said ppl told me i was smart not that i actually think i am, i dont have an ego at all, ppl tell me im gifted and i am in some areas but other than that im a lazy slacker
My question is are there some ways to help people with AS? I have neurological disorder myself and I am trying hard to improve my cognitive functions with different brain training methods.
Hi, I'd be interested to know whether you were referred for specific diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome, or whether your diagnosis was secondary to another diagnosis (e.g. anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorder)?
Yes, I do have a question or 2. Has this affected your plans for education or family? How large is your circle of friends and others that you know?

About how many friends do you have (not acquaintances)?
On scale of 1-10, how easy for you to make friends (with 10 being very easy)?
How do you go about making friends, dealing with AS?
Oh, I'm a female, 21 years old and been diagnosed with mild AS at age 13.

@KitchenerBombSquad That is called an inflated ego. True knowledge and wisdom is knowing that you know nothing.

I hope this is not an intrusive question...
