i wonder why other ppl doesnt like to see a shih tzu being groomed for dogshows specially if the products are safe for them , ppl or manufacturers wont create a product to harm an animal specially if they are groomed for dog shows,i love to groom my dogs and i keep their hairs long,i put furnishings,i use hairsprays that are for dogs hey after ironing their hair w/ flat ceramic flat irons they could still bark ,they dont miss any of their limbs ..
This made my heart sink for that poor little dog. Matting the hair and spraying hair spray in it's face and mouth, eyes. I could tell it bothered that little dog. It reminds me of the 60s when women did this. But this is a dog not a women and has no say. I'm sure the dog would just like to be a dog, not barbie. Like pagents where little girls look like grown women, Sad, just Sad. I have this dog, love them, would not do this to her ever.

@iamanthonyting umm shih tzus tht r still puppys still only show there under coats.. there top coats are silkey straight... and as for how to straighten it just use a flat iron thts high quality.. go to sallys bueuty supply or if your a girl use yours on her...
Sorry to be so delayed in reply hope this helps. drying while brushing with straight (no tips) pin brush helps to straighten. You can also iron the coat after finished drying. Purchase iron at Beauty supply or pharmacy that sells electronic beauty supplies. Avoid touch the skin of the dog with the iron.

This looks alot like animal cruelty to me. I've had my hair teased before and it doesnt feel good. I feel sorry for these poor animals who get put through this. It's really sad, my sympathy to the dog.

You're an idiot. I'm sure the hair spray is tearless...considering a PROFESSIONAL groomer is using it. Get a life. This is not animal cruelty. This dog most likely lives better than you or I ever will! If you are so concerned about animal welfare, why don't you spend your time finding people who actually DO harm their animals...there are plenty out there, focus your energy elsewhere. I totally agree. This is a professional show dog grooming. Cost around $80-120 in my place. All the stuff used are very dog friendly. This is being done all over the country during dog show competitions. I'm sure those who negatively comments on this had never researched enough and actually never been in dog shows. Just ignore them.
