the riding club always ridiculous...but as for local riding and trails it was awesome. out of towners dont know where to go or anything so i understand your complaints...they never got a cent from me. but after 10 years of riding you still discover new paths and the possibilities are endless as to where you can go. it used to be thriving when rausch creek was open..then they pissed that away too..oh well...diss the club not the town haha
guess I'll have to register my truck for Reading Anthracite since I don't have title for quad so I can register it and get insurance. RA needs to be like Rausch Creek no registration required.
FYI.. trevorton is not really free, you r required to have a reading anthracite riding permit.. it cost $100 a year to ride all there properties, but no one has one that i ride with up there ethier. so just be careful.
I loved Tower City but for the amount of acrage they had, there was suprisingly few trails. And no trail upkeep that I could see. I'm not complaining. I liked what trails they had but when I can ride ALLof them in just 2 days well, that isn't enough to make me want to come back each week.
This video is great though... I loved seeing the girl with he dirt hitler mustache! LOL! Great editing, great choice of song.
I've been a TCTRI member for almost 10 years now, def the best trails to ride. I don't mind the rocks, actually, I love them. It really helps for the enduros that I race. $400 is steep, but we've got a great campsite and great trails, although i'm getting sick of all of the timbering in some areas...
Grew up in Ashland region, Trails are great and go forever!!! Fees? This is the coal region spend it on the Yuengling and Tony burgers (Giradville) !!!
Man the fee's do suck!1.. But If you can get john to make you a security officer it's free!. I did it for year's , put up posted sign's and patroled all the time.. TCTRI rock's.. Literaly...
dude, i was just there yesterday.... it was hell... it got so rocky. trail 2's downhill was horrible, my buddy hit his hardy boys pretty hard, was funny as hell. i flipped 4 times on my dirtbike, off of one rock set... almost broke my leg. i sprained both wrists, it sucked, very dusty as well
I agree,,, the place is a rock garden,,, not a trail ride. I'll never go back... Not much mud to talk about either... AND the fees SUCK - $40 a day for a "guest",,, $400+ a year for a "membership" - what a joke....
OR ...you can go right past Tower City a few miles to Trevorton, PA,,, And ride all year FOR FREE,,, I'll spend my $400+ at the local retail stores and food shops (with real food, not candy bars and hotdogs at the check-in booth) AND you get treated like a real "guest" when you visit Trevorton, almost like they don't mind you being there and spending your money with them.... TOWER CITY SUCKS PERIOD.
Yeah, I won't be going back anymore. They got rid of the local membership of 25 bucks....now they want me to pay 400 for the same thing.....NO WAY...It sucks because I get there from my back yard......Where is thte Trevorton place located?
Trevorton is quite a ride from tower city, if you want good hill climbs, for free and pretty sweet take a trip in about mid july to a place near ashland, pa called locustdale. all the riders out there are pretty chill and can show ya some kick ass trails, and who knows ya might see me there!

Gotta learn to roll with the punches, Tower City is a very fun place if you can take the beating.
