For years I have tried to help people who have needed me outside, not just in. We had a fight like this in the Night club I work in four nights ago. 14 steroided twats kicked off on three doorman so the kid that works the front desk. ran up the stairs to grab some of the rest of us it ended up as 20 something people fighting in the streets, i broke three fingers, fractured my ribs and dislocated my knuckles. one doorman is in ICU, Our hopes are with him

I cant tell who the bouncers even are. Thats your first mistake in not giving them clothing that seperates them from the public. Mistake number two was going outside. @ troy, like i said my friend, our team do get involved, however most dont, and to be honest i wudnt blame you if you never went into a club ever again. i personaly wudnt if i wasnt getting paid a lot of money to work our doors.
The problem with our streets is that virtually allmorals slip with alcahol n other substances which seem to be in abundance, integrity dissapears mate, its a shame but the truth, anyway, im glad your ok now man. good luck with your future.

@ troy hi mate, im a doorman and i bet your peeved that no one helped you outside, however the bouncers are not really payed to stop shit in the streets mate, our team do so, but weve all been in the shit for doing it, the cops love fuckin us over, thats why most door teams wont get involved unless its on the premisis. we have prob less chance in court than any other person for some reason. also the sia have fucked our positions ove because we have a license to lose now ,any way, sory u got hurt

@feiz01 I know the legal reason why doormen don't get involved, but there's a moral question too, my friend and I were just 15 at the time and were attacked for no reason by overwhelming numbers. We got very badly hurt and I didn't go to a club again for years after. We were lucky we didn't get killed. How would the doorman have felt then? Very differently i'd imagine with blood on their hands.

I'm a steward in Glasgow and I love how the police tell us how to do our jobs! They have body armour, batons, radios, helicopter support and so on, what do we have? Our bare bloody hands! When the shit flies and a fight like that kicks off you do what it takes to make sure YOU get to go home in one piece! Cops always arrive after the main event and then have a go at us for doing their job for them!
