    ww antifrost jimdo com

  • Pas évident de chausser les bottes d'Alvin Lee? et pourtant ça le fait... Carrément!

  • this is good but w/o alvin there is noTYA

  • "Eenvoud siert de mens" dit is een schoolvoorbeeld .

  • no alvin, not tya!

  • @anthonycrystal33 finally sane people . wrote the music, sang it and played it.all Alvin

  • Alvin Lee rules ok!

  • @apsy2 yes! Alvin

  • Wow il déchire le petit Joe :D Jl'ai vu hier en concert à Auxerre il assure de ouf !

  • WTF is this?? It ain't Ten Years After without Alvin Lee!!

  • this sucks without alvin lee joe gooch sucks he just copies a.l. and not a very good copy

  • @ithinku8dert

no doubt that this joe is a better than alvin. more importantly.. there is respect.

    positive vibrations mate.

  • @ftsmoo I saw this group they suck nothing original and I aint your mate

  • Are these non-Alvin albums any good?

  • this is so new even now, keep on rocking, they have to be innovators and creator of total upfront rock music

  • this is so new even now, keep on rocking

  • joe the fucking poor mans Alvin

  • Alvin Lee rocks, great to see him still at it.

  • I 1st heard them in 1968 & they still got it. Amazing video, thanks for sharing. Alvin kicks butt!

  • Love it !!!

  • NOT Alvin Lee!

  • @mrtea56 not even close

  • @markm201 - this got me rockin' - and it's authentic! Best Wishes!

  • @mrtea56 alvin lee is authentic, this is a cheap exploitation.a real shame they are allowed to take advantage of alvin. by the way he wrot it too.

  • Joe has talent, but:

Another example of TYA Now destroying an Alvin Lee song.

When TYA Now do their own material, I can get into it.

    This is just sad................

Ten Years After Now Without Alvin, should do TYA Now material

  • check out TYA albany!! Reasons Why

  • Use to see Alvin regular in the early 60's then with the 'Jaybirds' and from Mansfield they played at our local St Micheal's Church Hall [Sutton Hop] most fridays a great crowd puller back then

  • je sui des année 60 mais il pren bien la releve

  • A tiger wit hno head ,are you so IGNORANT to still call that a tiger ?

Probably , blinded by the light , the love of the longgone light...

  • As a mega TYA fan,,I cant say how much i enjoyed watching that,,Its on my favorites list now !!

  • Voices from my youth!

    Love this song!

  • A good song is worth to be played any time!

On the other hand, what would a Jimmy Hendrix band without Hendrix. Or T.Rex without M. Bolan. 'So take this as a cover band.

  • ten years after with a strat.. sounds like playing motorhead with a harp..

still a great song anyway :)

  • @skunkdad7 I wouldn't say that, I saw them live last night and he's really good and, the most important thing, he was so decent and elegant, not trying to emphasize anything but the band, and by "the band" I mean the three giants.

  • Yay - used to play this song in my band when i was at school. Those were the days.

  • Somebody ought to synch up the video and audio on this one!

  • this one compressed

  • Come on, people. Stop whining about Alvin Lee. Yes, he's an awesome guitarist. But he left Ten Years After 36 years ago, because he thought he was too good for them. Be glad TYA are still touring. And besides, Joe Gooch is doing a pretty good job as Alvin's replacement.

  • It's true !

Without Alvin, these are not the real T.Y.A., obviously,

but I think this is a honest performance, that capture part of the old T.Y.A. style.

  • alvin was TYA ! joe gooch shoud be tuning alvins guitar. he's a cheap impersonator.

  • Ok,Gooch is not Alvin Lee.Nobody can replace Alvin in my heart ever. But would you rather have no TYA?I love every tune that this Gooch guy has produced,though...and for me,it's not about persons,it's all about music. This music is quite ok.

  • @krkutovaca yes stop tya from fouling the good music of alvin lee

  • @markm201 I've said what I've got to say about it.Nothing can change my mind. It's a great performance from Gooch and the other 3/4 of TYA.Alvin is Alvin, and I will always love him.So was Peter Green "heart and soul" of Fleetwood Mac,but after he left they continued as Fleetwood Mac.And many people who loved their music never knew who Peter Green was(personally, for me they were just a different band w/o P.G.,but can't say I didn't like one or another song).

  • @krkutovaca enjoy the cheap ripoff band,by the way the the difference with fleetwood mac is the band changed and then they found sucess, tya was all about alvin. he wrote all the music, he sang all the music and he was the standout. the leader and the heart and soul,no one can deny it. the rest of the guys were talented musicians, but were the back up to alvin. their playlist and albums without alvin still are dominated by his songs and his sound. they should be ashamed of the blatant charade

  • @krkutovaca woodstick is an asshole

  • TYA without Alvin Lee ISN'T TYA.

  • amen

  • The people that are posting this TYA without Alvin have tried to block me. This is, as you've figured out, a really low-rent attempt to sell music. TYA as we all know, without Alvin Lee is a sham. How about Led Zep w/o Jimmy Page?

  • How about Led Zeppelin without Jon Bonham? Oh yea that's right he died 30 fuckin' years ago man. I would get back out there and play music if I were them too.

  • Bonham wa a great drummer, but he was a drummer....not writing the music or the voice of the band or the guitar the was it's reputaion. Lee was all of those guys in one.

  • AND TRUE!

  • NO ALVIN?

    I change my vote to:

    FALSE!

    (Dizzy I was!)

  • The

    Ten Years After Sound:

    Still Wondurus Full...

  • weres alvin its is song FFS

  • were is Alvin???

  • no joe gooch

  • no guitar is Joe Gooch

  • real rock

  • tya whitout alvin lee is no more tya !

  • I like it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Next show in France, in Compiegne 4th April 2009 at the Ziquodrome

  • Where was the location of this particular concert?

  • I'll take Alvins guitar tone anyday. Joe's Strat is too trebly. I'll take that cherry red 335,thank you.

  • His guitar solo through out the video is amazing!I Wish i could play like that!Ten Years After forever!

  • They are Fantastic, perfect on stage ! Joe Gooch is a guitar heroe, I saw them in Paris 4 days ago, their show was I N C R E D I B L E

  • hey i think i'll pull out my crickwood green lp and get the alvin version or maybe ssshush or maybe stonehendge or ? cause i've got em all and i saw alvin in a small venue in gr,mich back in 1978.there is no substitute

  • Who is this Joe?It`s a long way to Alvin!

  • There are no words to describe to this grand band.

    Rock always!!!!

  • this is fantastic. i know nobbody else listens to this but it is their loss, not mine. the vocals are too low at the start but maybe that was necessary to make the brilliant guitar work shine thru....thanks for putting this up.

  • Dear Mr. Lyons: After almost five years of tutoring Joe is barely cutting it. He is making poor Chick catatonic.

You, Alvin, Ric and Chick made TYA the best band - ever. What is going on NOW?

  • Still alive and kicking! Saw them last month, had a good time.

  • Gitarrenspiel hervorragend, Gesang mickrig ***

  • THAT´S MUSIC THANKS 5*****

  • check out a band called head hands &feet

  • ## ONE OF THR BEST ~~

  • Joe is no Alvin. But, then, nobody was, is, and probably will ever be!

  • goes to show Alvin was also a good vocalist...guitar here is okay but the voice is worse than mine!

  • sorry pal but Alvin does have soul in his voice though he is only a master with guitar.

Just like Hendrix can have a pleasant singing but of course his guitar play is far above pleasant...anyway,man

  • really good! alvin or not. i'd pay to see and hear this.

  • Don't pay too much though. Save your $ and buy thr Fillmore East Live. You will hear the difference!

  • Great memories, 1971 in Chicago. I saw Ten Years After, Canned Heat and Uriah Heap in a concert. I was 14 yrs old, sitting 15 rows back, center stage and it only cost me $15.00 THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!

  • Memories of what? In 1971 you saw the great Alvin Lee. If you like this new band, that's fine - but it isn't the band you saw in 1971.

  • minus alvin lee...rest of the band stills there ...beggers cant be choosers.....enjoy the band brother...

  • lujmken;;;;if they ever start sellin' those time machines..im goin' back to that show with ya...beers r on me..lol!i was negative one then

  • this song gives me life

  • yessssssssss guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love it

  • This is so awful a cover it should be banned! One word for it - CRAP!!

  • FRAUD!

  • Weak vocal, but excellent lead guitar, well worth a listen. Folk shouldn't be too hung up on whether or not it is Alvin Lee holding the guitar; just go with the flow of the music...

  • Where ya been? Alvin IS still doing it, better than ever. Have a listen to the newest CD, Saguitar - the man is literally amazing.

  • ALVIN LEE is TEN YEARS AFTER this is no ALVIN.

  • @merrilltim finally someone knows ..thanks they are a cover ban.alvin is the real story.

  • GOT 1 THANKS

  • Get a life !

  • Joe Gooch can play good guitar but doesn't have credibility until he plays his original songs and compositions, and most importantly, makes a hit out of his own original material.

I stand by my earlier statements that this band Ten Years After now is merely a tribute, or a cover band.

It's nothing different than if a Hendrix influenced guitarist like Robin Trower were to play a bunch Hendrix songs and rename himself, Jimi Hendrix NOW!

  • "Why post these covers?"

    because we like em...(:>)

  • Brilliant!

  • Why post these covers?

  • Dr Timothy Leary?????

    Are you really?????

I'm in agree with you, but..

    Are you really?????

Lucy in the sky with a diamonds?????

  • Yeah You cant play Alvin's songs like the man him self one of the greatest guitar players ever joe gooch doesn't even come close

  • Yes, that is leo lyons on the bass. And the others are the original TYA too. It´s just Joe Gooch on the guitar instead of Alvin Lee. And they already have their new songs. It´s Ten Years After Now!

  • I seem not to be the only person thinking that nobody will ever be able to play all this "old" TYA music like Alvin Lee (well, it's his music, ain't it?)

btw, I like Joe Gooch's guitar more than his voice

  • Ohhhhhhh man...I just found this page by accident.

    Right f*cking on...Im so lucky!

    New fan!

  • No offense to Joe Gooch. I think, he's a brilliant guitarist.

But instead of doing all these TYO cover, Joe needs to write, compose songs of his own AND make a hit out of his own material.

I don't care if the band itself feels otherwise, but there's only one TEN YEARS AFTER, and that band included Alvin Lee.

Anything else is but a tribute, cover band.

  • hát ember, en is tudom :P

  • TYA without Alvin Lee is like The Who whitout Pete Townshend...

I think tough it's Leo Lyons on bass.

  • No fun

  • Is the guitarist in the video really Alvin Lee???

  • I don't think so.

  • no Joe Gooch

  • No, that's not Alvin. The dude doesn't even play a 335... He's talented - but it ain't TYA!

  • I were at TYA concert without Alvin Lee in Budapest, and i had a willies but i was the spur of concert when it was end. I'm a guitarist, and a ithink the new guitarist of the band is very talentes and he cope with in this situation. The new band was amazing!

  • ''I think Joe is just the tonic for TYA.He adds a youthful zest which turns the songs into a fresh experience.''

I think he makes them sound shit. Get rid of him, and retire the band as they were supposed to do in the early 90's.

Without Alvin it's merely a tribute band.

  • fucking bad without alvin real shit

  • igy szeretni - amilyen jó ez a szám - csak egy férfi tud :)

  • jaja :) így van!

  • és ezt csak mi tudjuk:))

  • Ten years after without Alvin Lee!! What about the Stones without Mick Jagger or U2 without Bono!!

  • POR FAVOR NO COMPAREN A lOS GENIOS COMO JIMMY HENDRIX CARLOS SANTANA ALVIN lEE CON CUALQUIER MEDIOCRE U BUENOS GUIRARRISTAS , QUE ESTOS OTROS HAGAN SU PROPIA MUSICA Y DEMUESTREN TAMBIEN QUE SON BUENOS YA QUE SI SOLO HACEN COVERS SOLO SERAN SIMPLEMENTE " MEDIOCRES"

  • get STONHENGE as your desk screen .

  • video is awsome but too bad of the sound quality, you really cannot hear the true sound of his voice the way it was meant to be heard!!! so i will jsut throw the record back on and listen!!

  • this video is not original this video is compressed

  • I think Joe is just the tonic for TYA.He adds a youthful zest which turns the songs into a fresh experience.I think the way he took some of Alvin,s licks and put his own touch on them is great.

  • IMORTALY The best

  • Joe kicks ass. He is not Alvin.. Alvin is great but he would get back with the band that wanted to tour again. They chose well... Instead of comparing just try and enjoy the different interpretation of another awesome guitarist! Unfortunatly on this clip the vocals are way to low.. so one can not comment on Joe's vocals..

  • Totally Awesome Vid and Sng

  • This is not Ten Years After. Nobody can't play and sing like Alvin Lee does.

  • Joe Gooch is a brilliant guitarist and does a fantastic job in the Ten Years After Now band....give him abreak if Alvin doesnt want to play the others can..well done guys (some people can't move on)

  • Hey, no one said they shouldn't play. But this git player, while good, is no Alvin Lee - who, in my opinion, is one of the greatest players of all time.

  • NO one said he is "an" Alvin Lee, I just said he is a very good player, Ive met Alvin many times and he is a great player. So is Joe Gooch. Thats it really...the Alvin Lee is god thing is a bit lame these days.

  • Didn't call him God. Said in my opinion he was - and is - one of the greatest. Gooch is very good. Lee is great. If he doesn't want comparisons he shouldn't play Lee's songs.

  • I don't suppose Joe is in the slightest bothered by comparisons..after seeing TYA over 12 times live and the Alvin lee band 6 times I can cope with joe too...for me its all good.

  • This isn't TYA at all, in my opinion anyway. TYA is ALVIN LEE - this guy doesn't measure up at all.

  • Its kind of like watching the chipmunks without Alvin right. Or eating cake with no icing on it! Change your name to "Blackwater Pearl" and evrybody will say...hey man theres Leo Lyons, Chick Churchill, and Ric Lee from TYA with a new band! COOL!

  • I'm not being disrespectful to Joe...because he does a great job filling some awful big shoes!

  • Still isn't Alvin though - personally, I'd really rather he leave Alvin's material alone. It's hard to take it as anything other than a tribute to the man and yeah, I guess I resent anyone other than Alvin Lee being called Ten Years After. If its TYA I expect to hear the world's most awesome guitarist, not just somebody who plays well - there's thousands of good guitarists, but there's only one Alvin Lee.

  • I understand them using a name they helped make great...but I agree with you without the worlds most awesome guitarist its not the same. But Alvin is not the only one who created TYA...Leo Lyons is one of the finest Bass players in the world too. And Chick and Ric were in the pocket too. I would buy an album under another name because they have some cool new originals with this Joe Gooch. Hey same thing is happening with Grand Funk, Bad Company and so on..

  • There is not a guitarist in the world that would'nt jump at the opportunity to play with such fine musicians! And Joe is that lucky guitarist! But like I said...some awful big shoes to fill!

  • I agree and don't fault Joe for wanting the gig. And with 3/4 of the original band there, of course they're going to play some classic TYA songs. But that doesn't change how it SOUNDS to me, and it just doesn't sound as good as Alvin.

  • AMEN rockout!

  • This isn't TYA as it was!!!

  • doesnt match up to Alvin. This is just not the same, without Alvin and Big Red (his ES335), TYA just aint TYA

  • Or scream like it hurts

  • Joe got this lick down but can't sing worth a mile of Lee.

  • Not impressed. He plays well but this is Alvin Lee's song and no one can play as well as he.

  • Right, this is never TYA. Can anybody upload the original vid?

  • I think it's quite unfair to put any guitarist to fill in Alvin Lee's shoes in Ten Years After. Alvin had that magnetism and intensity which made him unique and which defined the band. Joe got his chops down but sorry, this ain't the real Ten Years After.

  • The guitarists name: Joe Gooch.

  • No talent, no charisma, no joe!

  • F... you gbeau 61, you should have to see him on stage before saying that, or maybe you're playing the guitar better than Joe, but i'm really not sure of that.

  • rnjoe...Ive seen enough guitarists over the years to warrant my view...I prefer the Original guitarist of TYA, that unmistakeable Gibson ESS 335 sound that set him apart from others.

  • this definitely ten years after.but alvin lee has been replaced by joe gooch

  • No, definitly NOT Ten Years Aftrer and Alvin leadguitar...

  • it also definitely is leo lyons on the bass....can tell by the way he holds the bass and his pluck and slap technique

  • yep but its definitely not alvin lee...he only EVER plays a gibson 335(stereo)Cherry

  • that's ten years after for shure . .

    greetz from amsterdam

  • blubb, guth !

  • Hey, wait a minute! That`s not Alvin Lee!
