  • 0.55 she got an orgasm jejeje

  • indeed

  • indeed

  • If I were to name my two favorite actors from Voyager, one of them would have to be Picardo. What a solid performance in almost every episode. He's probably one of the great Trek characters too. With Spock, Data, Quark, Odo, and many others.

  • totally love him

  • It is sung by Picardo himself in playback, but it is him.

  • @jamilpanni oh... Agostino Castagnola?

  • @jamilpanni whom belong the voice???...

  • Here's the Italian version of it: Sotto la gronda de la torre antica

  • In the soft twilight of evening springtime is passing. The swallows chatter in their flight — they are drunk with light and air. But I am sad and lonely. You do not cross mountains and sea to come back to me. My little one, You were my whole life, but you ran away, never to return. You ran away, never to return!

  • If anyone wants to know what he's singing in English here it is: Under the eaves of the old tower, as the almond tree blossoms, a friendly swallow has returned. Every year she returns, always in the same day. She crosses mountains and sea to get back here. Only love flees and does not return. It makes you hope in vain, but it does not return. It makes you hope in vain, but it does not return.

  • Better than Pavarotti!

  • That's actually him and not a lip sync?

  • @prudence00 No, this is Agostino Castagnola

  • it should be:

    Rondine al Nino

  • The Komar won't even know if the talent Gods came and bit them on their midget asses... All they care about is mathematics... Smart idiots...

  • grande PICARDO

  • goodlike

  • nunca escuche un tema misical q solo el alma lo puede entender solo digo exelente

  • Wiki gives credit to Agostino Castagnola for the voice over.

  • Ok i se from below comments now that maybe picardo didn't sing this song!

To be honest im not sure, but it sure sounds like him though. i've download a bunch of Rondana Al Nida versions looking for this one, but never found it. only different versions from various opera singers.

Nonetheless.. NO ONE COMES CLOSE to this star trek version! It's just wonderful..,

  • who singing in fact?

  • @adam0072

Robert Picardo sing this himself. He's a truly great actor, and good singer also!

I remember i was pretty skeptic when he took on the role as new commander of the Stargate Atlantis base, but once again he did a great acting performance. :)

  • @olegalemann Nice presentation but was excluded thing that this issue would be her voice. Likely cut by the sound, but I am curious who owns a sound and wonder where can I find the whole length of the code.:)

(sorry for spelling and grammatical errors madeby the google translation of the text)

  • @adam0072

Yeah, sorry dude.., I did not understand anything of that!! Get some people you know to translate for you man so i can understand what you're saying!! >;)

  • @olegalemann hello what is the name of that song and the artrist in real? thx

  • @olegalemann thx man but this perfomances one artis sing. Who is he? im search the soundtrack but not find.

  • @adam0072

Like i said.., I dont know exactely who sings this song, so if you want this version.., Download youtubedownloader etc and rip the song..., i've searched the internet for this version alot, but find only crappy versions from various opera singers.., so if you want this beautiful piece of music.., Then download "youtube downloader" etc, and rip it for yourself.., it's easy..,

  • @olegalemann thx im downloaded

  • @adam0072 Agostino Castagnola

  • @omidsarmad thx

  • @olegalemann hello what is the name of that song and the artrist in real? thx

  • Which eps. is this?

  • @Hovwov

It's the Season 6 Episode 13 called "virtuso" if memory serves me right.., an ok episode with great acting from Picardo.. i could almost feel his heart break in this one.., :)

  • Nothing like the Doctor :) the best clip was when he was handing out those singing images on the ship in this episode. :)

  • FANTASTISK!!!!!!

  • @olegalemann

    yah go german!

  • Opened my mind to Opera.... and then I discovered Netrebko!

  • @Karekter1605

  • This was my favorite part...

  • Which esp. is this?

  • @Hovwov its in seson 6 but i forgot

  • @Hovwov its called virtuoso seson 6

  • Even after all these years, Star Trek never ceases to amaze me.

  • can Robert Picardo really sing this well O.O

I've heard him sing, but not opera like this... :)

  • @TheReasonWhyGuy I don't think it's his voice.

  • This song has only ever been performed by six people; Luciano Pavarotti being the most famous. However, Robert Picardo is one of the six. If you watch Grease, John Travolta does not sound at all like himself while singing Grease Lightning. Likewise, people adopt very different colors and timbres while singing, especially art song. Robert Picardo studied music for years and in most of The Doctor's songs he does not really perform- he just sings; this is him at his best but it is, in fact, him.

  • @ISwimForChrist Is that true? Do you know the name of this piece?

  • @jacksawild

Yes- Rondine al Nido by Vincenzo de Crescenzo. It's a beautiful piece of early 20th century music. Pavarotti used it as part of his standard repertoire for a while. I think it's one of the related videos. We talked about it in my Vocal Literature class and I almost died when I realized I had heard it on Voyager, it was a good day :-).

  • Picardo did not sing this.

  • You shure? I think that it's the use again of that machine, you make a mans voice better and at the end only 10% of the sound is the real voice of that man....

  • As a life long musician I think Robert Picardo sang this beautifully. Vocal musicians may differ I don't really know as I don't have vocal training. I do feel I know music though, and I enjoy listening to him sing operatic pieces immensely. I wish he would record an Operatic CD. I'd be first in line to buy it.

  • He did not sing this, he said in an interview.

  • This song is beautiful, and can move me to tear, as do some of the comments made here. Wonderful music and aggressive comments don't mix well.

  • @20callenderslady

you are so right why cant people just do normal in posts

  • For some reason I thought Mr. Picardo was an Opera Singer, I know he has established himself as having singing talent, maybe I misheard or just got confused o_o

  • Oh, Picardo himself sings this song (in playback, of course). Often the Doctor sings songs and opera airs (Bohéme duet, for example, or La donna è mobile). Picardo has been a singer in earlier years of his career, singer of musical in broadway. He had Italian origins, so he was happy to sing italian repertory.

  • I'm sorry but you are miss informed. Mr. Picardo does not sing this particular aria though I do not deny him having a nice voice it is clearly not the same one here than lets say when he sings la donna e mobile.

He also states this in an interview as someone pointed out.

  • @TheEngraver Picardo sang most of the songs in the show, except for this one. This is actually Agostino Castagnola

  • Excuse me, I'm Italian and classical musician: semitar had good reason (not for insulting, however). This song, Rondine al nido, is a comparison between the swallow and a love that will never return. It's wrote in the lyrics of the song: "mia piccina, fosti tutta la mia vita, sei fuggita ma non torni più".

  • Thank you for the information - I was looking for the title of the song for a long time and couldn't find it !! I love this song!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't care who sang the song, its simply beautiful, i'm glad a show like ST voyager included it :)

  • I did some research a few years back and the literal translation of Rondine al nido has something to do with a sparrow returning to the nest. Anyway, Robert Picardo sings this snippet (at least his character) better than any rendition I've heard, even Pavarotti.

  • Are you on crack? It doesnt have anything to do with a sparrow. Its about a lost love. Written by de Crescenzo in the early 20th century (circa 1920),[

  • It is YOU who are the dunce. Ever heard of Wikipedia?? The song is about a swallow returning for the season. Better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it, moron.

  • I'm glad you brought wikipedia up you moron..Here is what wikipedia says about this song. "Rondine al nido is a beautiful romance and one of the best known works of the Italian composer. Written by de Crescenzo in the early 20th century (circa 1920),[1] it deals with lost love." Lost love you idiot...What a moron, he cant even comprehend that the song, referring to a bird...is not about "a bird but is a parody"

  • The doctors even says it refers to a "lost love"...You must be the most ignorant person on youtube.

  • To: semitar6 **** Judging by the insulting comments on your channel page, you enjoy making ignorant statements just for the negative attention. Did you not see the lyrics of the song? I happened to have watched a documentary about the town in Italy Crescenzo lived. The historian said swallows migrated there and that is why he wrote it. Look at the lyrics you obtuse dumbass, IT'S ABOUT A BIRD!?!

  • Im sorry did you read the wikipedia description???? You are a idiot..I actually listen to opera, the song is not about a bird...It refers to a bird leaving the nest...he is making a comparison between the bird who flys the nest and lost love. What a idiot, you refer to wikipedia yet dont even read the description, go back to the trailer park.

  • Der1lowen, you are a idiot. The song is about a lost love, the doctor even says it at the beginning of the song. Its not about a bird. He sings about a bird leaving the nest as a description of the love that he has lost. I agree with semitar6, you are probably the dumbest person on youtube.

  • To: Laqudis1 *****

Just read what your butt buddy below said, it is about a bird, if you don't believe me, read what the lyrics actually say. Honestly, don't watch STVOY anymore, you two don't have the intelligence to appreciate the show, let alone read.

  • Listen you fairy..I actually am a fan of opera. Cant you fucking read or are you really that stupid? He says its about lost love in the fucking video??? Your like talking to that mongoloid in that move "Shine" brain damaged.

  • I dont care who you are..thats funny.

  • And by the way moron Picardo doesnt even sing this song. It was voiced over by a opera singer.

  • This Opera is called "Rondine Al Nido"

    He sings it beautifully.

  • Regardless of who sang this specific song, it's a really nice tune. And in any other scene involving the Doctor singing, Robert Picardo does a great job at it.

  • Robert Picardo: I did all of my singing except for the second half of "Virtuoso." The Don Carlo duet and Rondino al Nido are voiced by an opera singer... Augostino Castellnano (I hope I spelled that correctly). He's a terrific guy. I simply couldn't sing high enough or well enough to pull them off, but I did my own singing in "The Swarm," "Tinker, Tenor...," "Renaissance Man," "Someone to Watch Over Me" and all the others.

  • Bella, whoever sang it.

  • Does anyone know what season this was?

  • 13th Episode of sixth season

  • best scene in all of star trek

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best seens in all of star trek

  • This scene really took me by surprise and gave me a lump in my throat. lol. Very moving!

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody know who performs the Song here here, or is it Robert Picardo himself singing?

  • It aucutally Robert Picardo

  • I'm not so sure.

  • its not picardo.. he can sing but he is not a opera singer. its a stand in. you can even see sometimes that the singing is not synchronized

  • He should so have done an album! This song gives me shivers!

  • Very nice :)

  • This is the best voyager the doctor at his best, this song sends shivers down the spine.

  • Here here, so moving!

  • Best Star Trek moment ever...!

  • this is a good moment but the best is when doctor and seven sing my little sunshine

  • what is this piece called?

  • RONDINE AL NIDO

  • If you don't like opera you are crazy!

Nothing can replace a heart-felt opera piece!

  • it is a dubb Bob only sang some of the songs like, La Donna é Mobile, You are are my sunshine and Ive Been Working on the Railroad.

  • "it's a dubb voice over. trust me. "

Why? Because you post on youtube or have heard other 'real singers'. pffft

  • But he's right.

On the Star Trek Wiki "Memory Alpha" was stated that Bob Picardo used to sing almost all of the songs himself. He just couldn't sing the opera bits and that's why they got a real opera singer to sing for him in that scene...

  • And it looks quite dubbed as well.

  • One of the mnost moving pieces of singing i've ever heard! Well done Star Trek

  • Here are the lyrics. Enjoy...
  • according to his IMDB page he sung "I've Been Working on the Railroad", "Dio, che nell'alma infondere", "That Old Black Magic", and "Rondine al nido"

  • Heh, I find it funny that the universal translators don't seem to function when they choose not to. Wouldn't they translate the lyrics into english?

  • The Doctor has the Universal Translator built into his program, it's sensible to assume he can turn it off when he likes. Besides, the UT might be smart enough to know when not to interfere.

  • Is it actually his voice!

  • Yes.

  • no, actually it's not. you can clearly tell especially on the higher notes that it's a real singer and not robert picardo, although at other parts of this episode and other episodes he does sing some with his own voice.

  • I highly doubt that - you could be right but why would he sing something he knows he's not capable off? Seriously, he can sing the high(er) notes - search on Youtube :).

  • it's a dubb voice over. trust me.

  • The song is called "Rondine al nido"

  • nice song, good choice doc
