The person developed DotA (Guinsoo, well Euls before him, but Euls left it to Guinsoo) before League of Legends came out left development of DotA to IceFrog and joined Riot Games to develop League of Legends. So basically, the developer of League of Legends (Guinsoo/Riot Games) is one of the original developers of DotA.
