  • this guy plays sitar very nice and perfect. keep it up.AB GURU RAM DAS KO SACHIYO MILLOO GI VADAAYI.

  • @daggerAKAdigga khalsa ji dumalla bahut wadiyaa te bahut chardi kala wala baneya, but ik meri request hai ,tusi yoga wich na pai jeyo,je fit rehan nu dil karda hai, gatka khed leya karo ji,yogay wich na pai jeyo.

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

  • wow very nice

  • Khalsa Ji where do u live?

  • well said mjohalz

  • goood vid. That was a really good tutorial of how to tie a Dhamala. Keep it up.

  • Advice:

    The Keski/Bunga should be between 2.5m - 7m

The Dumalla material should be between 6m to whatever your preferred length is.

    Happy tying Guru Khalsa Ji.

  • I can see so many problems in this video.

    Dumalla Maryada:

Two kanghe (preferably medium-sized at least)

    BLUE bunga always

    Five(panj)shastar

    Minimum of two dastar materials

    (Optional) Dumalle Da Salok

The Singh in this video is letting the dastar touch his kachera. Any dastar must never touch a kachera whether it has been WORN or currently being WORN. If it does touch, then you can't wear that dastar. The dastar shouldn't touch the floor.

  • @HarrySingh1974 shut up. Who are YOU to correct anyone? One of the most upsetting things about the Punjabi/Sikh Community... He ties it his way and others have their own.

  • @Mrgruntastic Yes but paaji this is about satkaar of the Dastar, blessed by our Beloved Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj. Without SATKAAR(respect) then you wont be able to let your prem grow for sikhi.

  • @HarrySingh1974 bro wat ur saying its like brahmin giving fake rituals

  • reminder we aint muslims look a t the khanda symbol and research on it on why it came to exsistance

  • Wow my turban is wayyyy better then this and i can probably show it 10x better then this good luck turban tying

  • @DaCrAzYkReW stfu tarn u dont even wear a turban

  • @XxGrewalxX omg stoker <----- if thats how you spell it how would you know? your just jealous

  • @DaCrAzYkReW i bet u dont even have a turban

  • Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. I am 15 years old in England and I am an Amritdhari Singh and have been for 3 years. Do you have to do gatka before you are allowed to wear a dumalla like that which is worn by nihangs? and for some reason, my parents wont allow me to do gatka until i get all A* in my GCSEs next year, is there any inspiring thing that i can say to convince them for me to learn gatka? I really want to start wearing a dumalla :( Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

  • @mrbassan11 You can start wearing a dumalla without practicing gatka, however, you should listen to your parents in the end. They care.

  • @mrbassan11 you dont only have to do gathka to be a nihang, you have to follow nihang maryada, read dasam gani and sarbloh bani in addition to the Guru Granth Sahib. And these nihangs did shastar vidiya and not gathka

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 ok thank you very much paaji, but I have already read Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Sarbloh Granth. thank you very much for the information

  • @mrbassan11 have u really read sarabloh granth? i heard no one is publishing it and the only way to get a copy is to actually go to buddha dal hq. and even still its very hard to get a copy

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 paaji, my grandparents went to sri damdami taksal and bought me a copy of sri sarbloh granth last year. it cost them 7500 rupees but it is worth it to get full guru ji's bani

  • @mrbassan11 but how can you read it?

i hear its not even in punjabi.. and no one has made any translations yet. only people who truely are working on doing so is the udasis and shiromani panth akali buddha dal.

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 paaji, it is in gurmukhi transcript but also available in sanskrit or arabic transcript and correct, there are no english translations of it, just punjabi translations of it. the udasis and shiromani panth akali buddha dal are making english translations and transliterations of sri sarbloh granth.

  • @mrbassan11 i see i see. its supposed to be very complex and highly metaphorical, as guru ji was in the form of Rishi dusht daman when he composed it years back, theres bound to be a language barrier.

    anyways

    ssa

    gurfateh!

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 Shiromani Panth Akali Tarna Dal has also started it now check my videos to see =...

  • this looks hard because i've been wearing a patka for a long time , i have a question. Why dosn"t my mom want me to wear a black or green patka

  • @bidiot22 Well it doesn't matter which color you wear... Someone must have suggested your mom that it isn't lucky for you.... But nothing is unlucky for a sikh who has Guru's vision on him... So you can wear any color you like...

And btw.... If your age is above 16 then you must start wearing a damalla/turban.... Bcoz patka is only for kids as they can't support turban for a long time and their brains are growing stage....

  • 05:11 ..........DOGSSS!!!!!! ahahaha! :)

  • I tie turban myself for many years now, but I don't cover the ears. Why do Sikhs cover the ears? Has it got a specific reason? Thanks. Great style btw, I will try it!

  • @Yogiphildas you dont have to cover your ears, just personal choice.

  • awsome video..il try tying this type of turban..but it requires lots of practice..il try..

  • I wish i cud tie a turban like him bt its hard

  • This material is called damalla thaan or Shtepelle. It is verry soft so it does not itch your head, it also does not fade as easilly eg your normal rubia or mall-mall will fade within 1-2 years, this will stay for about 5-6 years.

  • Thats an amazing material,,,most of the sikhs in espanola use that material,,,what is it,,,it looks so soft..can you please tell me about it

  • Greatjob Singh Ji!!!

  • that is a nice dumalla singh

  • Dhamalas are usually mul mul, im guessing ur using mul mul or something similar to it. ive just started wearing a Dhamala but im gonna use urs for gym class, thanks for this vid :D

  • Thanks for these videos Singh.

  • veer ure dastaar luks amazing at the end! hope i can steal ya style :P

  • wow.. white Sikhs .. such an inspiration :)

  • this guy makes unnecessary wraps, you can achieve the same finnish with a lot less material

  • unblock me i have very good information for you

  • gr8punjab i gave you several chances to back up your hate speech with a single shred of evidence, you did not back it up and instead carried on with your brainless schoolyard slandering.

you've had your chance now quit stalking me.

  • 'gr8punjab' im not dictating any terms to any Indians and I never have, im just speaking what Indian Sikhs say themselves and we will not forget the genocide against us that was commited by the Indian government.

Now do me TWO favours please 'gr8punjab' ONE - stop pretending to be a Sikh, please stay to your own religion of Hindu Dharma.

TWO - stop stalking me all around youtube. Its really quite sad.

    thanks. Satnaam

  • i have given you an answer, and im not unblocking you a second time because you just talk like a racist shoolchild, now as i have humbly requested of you, please stop stalking me all over youtube and get a life.

  • gr8punjab are you blind? can you not see on this page where you have asked me a question, and then i have answered it?.

and dont speak filth like your doing on these video channels.

you;ve got the typical dirty extreme racist mouth of an RSS pretend sikh

now grow up and get a life..

  • all u foking nobs who r hating this daastar n sayin this SINGH is a paki well then go fok ur moms u ass holes now...who the fock r u bigbossman to say that shit u kno wat do 1 u dik head n all u muva focker who r raciest

    akaaalo

  • He's a practicing Sikh and it's part of the Sikh religion to wear a turban. You're an ignorant fool.

  • Comment removed

  • He's not a Muslim you idiot. He's a Sikh. Read a book before making racist comments.

  • Why don't you tie your Kesh first then do Pagri? And why don't you grow your facial hair?

  • He explained it; wrapping the pagri into the jooda makes it harder to dislodge from the head (handy for the nihangs during battle). And as for your second question, he's a teenager.

  • waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh.

thank you for posting these videos brother, it really helps in teaching other brothers how to tie a dhamala as well. makes it easier to explain :) 1 million stars for this video. waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh.

  • u realy look kool!!!!

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH

  • A very beautiful DASTAR on a beasutiful Singh.

  • Thanks looks wikid, Gonna try practice and with maharaj's kirpa my arms won't ache too much, after the 75th time.

  • Nice dummala bro. must've taken months to perfect that. Being a practicing Sikh as i've learned from others is not easy. God bless you man, rock on. i read some distrubing comments posted earlier, ignore them, who know who these ppl realy are, they aren't religous to say the least.

  • you dont know the feeling of having a dastar or turban on your head.........jackass

  • Great vid.

  • all about rubia full voile decreased width for dhamalla

  • raj khalsa da

  • hello, i am an indian sikh. i am amritdhari.. i understand where you may be comming from.. most proplr just spirt out the teachings and they are not practising properly.the first thing that a true sikh should have is compassion. how can they be called a sikh if this is not there? they cant..they may pray, but they are not loved by dasmesh pita(guru gobind singh ji) if they dont live a good life.. that is it.i myself have had experiences like this from amritdhari sikhs.the way of life is highest.

  • well. The ones you see swearing also have trimmed beards and wear pug when they feel like.

they shave etc etc. They are wannabe's.

you won't see a true Guru's Sikh indulging in such low and pointless arguments.

ha and who are you to say the days of weapons and turbans are over ???

you actually sound like the same person who said it like 300 years ago. peace out!

  • lissen redelve,

    what the f*ck r u writing, u dumb mothaf*ka!!

u dare call Sikhs pakis! i'd beat u black & blue if u said that 2 my face! understand!

  • u fucking son of a bitch, go fuck ur mother

let me find out hu r are u a dead man

u dont kno whu u messin wiv

imma make a kebab out of u!

  • hello, i know that it is wrong for people to call you names n stuff, but cumon brother..people that dont take the high road get left behind with the crapness of the world...sikhs arnt animals that they pick fights and jump at fights!that is zaalam..if you are a true soldier of guru, humility and daya comes first... i know what it is like to be called a paki by ignorent people! just walk away!! they will learn one day! maaf karna if iv ofended u...

  • you should go to hell

  • learn how to spell before you try and begin a debate with intellectual people.

  • bakaree187,

    intellectual, lol

redelve is a dumbr ascist idiot!

    deserves it!

  • Listen man, why are you trying to wreak havok with us sikhs? you may be a non-sikh but who are you to insult Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's teachings?? that makes you a haramee man. And if you still don't come to a realisation, go and study what happened to Indira Gandhi. Maybe you'll know then, because if you continue wth your nonsence, the same thing may just happen to you!

  • wat did he do wrong u wierdo

  • The redelve guy isn't it? trying 2 poke fun

  • tumeremanmahi: I must say, I am a non-sikh enjoying a beautiful video on an important sikh tradition, and what is most likely your most recognizable tradition for non-sikhs, and then I see this comment by you which appears so angry and violent, The only thing I see here insulting your Guru or wreaking havoc with sikhs is your comment.

    You should be ashamed.

  • Umm dude I don't know why you are cursing each other and not explaining who exactly the sikh's are...WE are not muslim and we don't eat kabab and we don't come from Paki Land...We come from the northern part of india the state called punjab...Sikhism is totally different then any other religion... I don't expect you to respect our belief but you can at least be nice to keep your thoughts to your self until you know more about it..Thanks

  • @mjohalz i correct u again... we from the world.d :] not no punjab

  • i have a question. i know many women who wrap thier hair like this but for style reasons..or other cultrual but not religious reasons..is that insulting to you? i am used to seeing people wrap thier hair up becasue its cute. i have even done that myself. i am just now learning that people do it for religous reasons.

  • its not insulting, at least this is my opinion. however, a true sikh wraps his hair up and covers it with a turban. if its another's culture to wrap up their hair, then why would it be insulting to anyone?

  • hmm i never thought about it that way. i am learning a lot about this culture through these vids im glad they were posted. thank you for answering my question.

  • simply amazing style.

it gives a real majestic look.

    i m floored.

though i think 11 mtrs wld be too much for me

  • Nice video. I'm a little curious though...why is the mirror in the field?

  • my guess is that we can see the turban being tied! its nice in the field.. :)

  • what happens when you get an itch at the top of ur head?

  • lol...we jus ignore it!!

  • I use a salai...which is a thin metal "pin" which is used to tuck the hair in. It works good also for itching.

  • hahah

    nice

  • you tap it!!! or use a salie

  • Being new to shiekism I appreciate you showing how to tie the turban.

  • it s sikhism mate

    not shiekism

  • I love turbans

P.S -- Are there white people in India

  • May i know what material do you use for your dumalla? And where can i get it from?

  • that material looks very thin. thats why its very easy to wrap.

  • it was a nice dumalla, but too low down on your forehead.

  • its really good man but there are diff style to wear it y u don try them too, but really nice to see ur style buddy.

  • when you're tieing it and you put the knotted bit behind ur head, how do you make the first one tight, it keeps going loose when i do it

  • Put a saliyi in the front of your head to hold the kapara in place bro:D

  • good idea. cheers

  • that looks vary good man

  • That was too good, i find it impossible to tie that style thoough. Still learning.

  • thats the most sik damalla i evr seen! nice work bro, if only everyone in the Panth tyed heir damalla like that
