I bought Fantasty(it is breaking at the bottom) and Posh and it is starting to split in half. I love the Lipsticks but the fact they break easily ughhhhhhh WHy

Most of the colors turn out dark then in the swatchs so try to pick one that is lighter than what you want incase you don't want it to be too bold. Great lipstick though! :)

VERY HELPFUL! The ELF website is VERY deceiving with the colors, so this helped A LOT to see real images and swatches of them.

I love the idea behind this video and the photos of the lipsticks themselves are great. However, the photos of your individual swatches suck, they're too dark! the big long one at the end was great too. also yes they break easily but BROKEN LIPSTICKS ARE SUPER EASY TO FIX, DON'T THROW THEM AWAY.i personally own about 6 of these shades.

i always hear people say that their elf esstential lipsticks break really easily but i have never had tht problem with mine i am very heavy-handed, i guess i just got lucky lol...my favorite is gypsy right now i love it and wear it all the time but the color doesn't come out to its full potential when i use it so before i put it on i put on Rimmel London Royal Gloss of any kind, then lip liner, then gypsy, it comes out soooooooooo pigmented and beautiful!(:

My Nostalgic was the first to break off before I've even ever used it. Too bad because that was a nice "nude" for me. Then Classy, which I liked very much, broke off after a couple of uses and it got all nasty. Now I'm using Charming. I hate the packaging of these lipsticks but I love the colors.

Oh and this music reminds me of the Sims music. Hehe.

Even though they break I think they're still worth the dollar! Because they don't dry your lips and two or three of them won't hurt your bank!

@theLAgirl1: might as well try the items you purchased since the lipstick colors may vary. I have 2 lipsticks of the same name that are different in shades. It's a hit and miss but you can email elf and they will send you a replacement or exchange, no questions asked. Their customer service is pretty good. Wishing you luck and I hope you enjoy your new purchases!!!

Thanks so much for the review! It was so helpful! The best way to prevent their lipsticks from breaking, along with any others, is not to twist the lipstick all the way up. I've had mine broken several times as well. I'm happy to say I learned my lesson! :)
