My Reaction to Tigress's Supposed Crush on Shifu

@baycrum267 well, thats kindof true. think about he adopted her because noone else would take her home and he always traeted her like a student never a daughter. she never called her dad, right? its like a school girl having a crush on the new algebra teacher. plus, it went away. (it shocked me too, i was eating chips and i choked on them when i heard that.)

Why is everyone assuming Shifu is her adoptive father? He just took her in from the orphanage because no one wanted her. He thought she had the potential to be a kung fu master and he felt bad that she was rejected by families. But even when he was training her to hold her temper he treated her as a student.

Trust the fans to read too much into things and make it seem he's her adoptive father.....

shifu is really old,he used to be in the furiose five,he was with tia lung,and the dow giy and soo much more,so he still looked how he dose now when tigress was a tenager

@feliks2008 I disagree as when you make tv series you can't expect it to be as good as the movie it was based on. IMO Considering that I think this is better than most, so far. Yes I agree that the movies are better but tv shows don't have the time nor the budget of the movie. It's okay that you don't like it but why are you commenting this? Are you doing this on all KFP:LOA related videos? If so, that's kinda rude dude. Also love the icon.

That took me by surprise too, but I think it can be explained (in Story) this way. Shifu took custody of Tigress, but he raised her as his student. Not as his daughter (Tigress never once in either the movies, the specials, or the T.V. series called Shifu Dad, Father, or any other variation of that name). So it basically amounts to Tigress having a schoolgirl crush on her teacher.

@SimbasGuardWT You have a good point, Shifu is specifically her foster father, besides my jaw dropped when Po said she had a crush on Shifu as a teen.

@SimbasGuardWT yeah, that's what I've always seen it as, and Shifu was probably the only male in her life for some time after she left the orphanage with him, and he was certainly the strongest since I doubt she ever actually met Tai Lung till the first movie. It makes sense that she would've thought like that when she was younger.
