  • the Chrysler Routan...oh, sorry, I mean the Volkswagen Routan. Yep, that's the right name. It's a little confusing, but let me explain.

  • Looks pretty average on the outside IMO, like it could be any old people mover. The back is a little Volkswagen-ish but other than that the styling is very bland. Nothing beats the Honda Odessy for style these days. I'm sure this would win in almost every other category for people movers though.

  • It's nothing but a Dodge caravan and Chrysler & country with a VW badge and ugly styling, not to mention a jacked up price. VW wasted their time on this one.

  • This is not a real Vw, it's more like a Chrysler van with a VW badge on it. The real VW van is the T5. This doesn't look half as good.

  • It is BIG and NOT pretty.

  • dam big car

  • whats the song on the ad for this crappy designed thing with wheels, but i do like VWs normally this one dosnt surprise or turn heads

  • it does have really good looks, inside a bit bland. i wouldn't buy it though, due to the chrysler mechanicals, not for that price..

  • I don't see any VWness except front grill..

It's boring and numb.. Nothing new innovative design and feature on this one..

Dash is plain old american design look.

Looks like stretched first gen. Honda minivan

  • Chrysler sucks everything except minivans.

I surprised how smooth and nice T&C..

But VW minivan? is it big enough for fat americans? GUESS NOt~!!

Low ceiling and narrow design going to limit cargo and passanger comforts.

VW minivan is going to be only failure of VW in american market..

chichibud31.. VW is bigger and better company but I doubt that you have rode on T&C.. IT's a NICE MINIVAN>>>

  • in reply to coolerdude44, isn't a truck frame the simplest thing to develop. i mean it's not tuned for handling or anything like that, just to carry a load while allowing the least amount of flex. the modern minivan on the other hand needs to have a fair bit of handling ability and refinement and chrysler is no where near vw in terms of chassis refinement + chrysler has always had crappy transmissions and engines with relatively high failure rates in their vans

  • Coolerdude44 is absolutely right!! VW made a great decision to go with the "inventor" of the minivan to build their minivan. Quality?? I think Chrysler is just fine!! I have a 1998 T&C 3.3 with no problems. Never changed anything on it!! Same with my 2005 T&C. They just run and run and run!! My father has a 2008 with the 4.0, and that is truely a GREAT minivan with a great engine/transmission. Chrysler was a GREAT CHOICE!!!!!!

  • calm the fuck down i hate chrysler. i think their minivan is the only good product. the plastics are rock hard, their cars do poorly in crash tests, and for the most part (for the finished product) they are overpriced. i think nissan and toyota are the best.

  • I hope your inventor was in quotes to be sarcastic re Chrysler's claim- VW invented the minivan pre 60's starting with the Kombi- 3 rows of seats possible; our 75 bus

has the removable middle row and back seat folds flat.

  • that homo who responded to me likes chryslers too much. i think chrysler is shit. i think their minivan is their only good product. no, not necessarily, the new trucks are tuned for handling just not as much as sedans or suvs. dodge makes one of the best trucks, i think the ford is the best, but thats just me.

  • i read that the drivetrain is that of the chrysler vans. isn't vw worried if this new drivetrain developes a faulty reputation, like other chryslers before, that i will will reflect negatively on vw's image?

  • chrysler sold them the platform, just like they sold mitsubishi the dakota platform, and recently, they sold nissan the ram platform (i guess the next gen titan well see it).

the chrysler town and country/dodge grand caravan are the best minivans out there, so if they were to copy, they picked a good choice. i dont get why anybody would buy this over the dodge tho. its the same thing but with LESS innovative features and its $6,000 more.

  • Absolutely right!! The inventor is truely the best!!!!!! GO CHRYSLER!!!!!!

  • really exciting

  • all it is is a Chrysler Town&Country and Dodge Grand Caravan
