Marriage can ruin things. and whats even the point of getting married just to have his name after yours? and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with moving in together. If anything its better. If you havent really lived together before you get married you have no idea what its like because you have time apart from each other. and yea it is like seeing if your compatible with being around each other all the time. Things fall to shit when you settle into the REALITY of marriage. its much different.

people, stop marking others down... they have opinions too. if you disagree with them, then do what im going and explain your opinion. i see no one else doing that. i am also still confused with the whole living together before marriage. i kind of wanted him to elaborate on that a bit. ive watched this talk 4 times now. this is probably the only thing im confused and not really agreeing with also. someone please explain

What he means is when cohabiting, couples will inevitably begin to argue, they have a fit over each others idiosyncrasies, etc. The fact that they aren't married often times lets them think that since they're not committed to each other, they might as well get out of the relationship before it gets to marriage. Yet an important part of a marriage is to love regardless of each others faults so that commitment is what makes the couple work through their differences.

well if ur looking from a christian perspective, marriage is the closest thing to godliness. in the bible the church and God is referred to as a marriage. therefore marriage is the closest bond you can have between two humans that love each other. Therefore many christians believe sex should be saved for that bond. because God is love.. and thats why sex is also referred to as "making love". You, your spouse and God(love) together to form your child. thats the meaning of sex.
