Have to see this guy live... i can't cut him off my media player....This song is beautiful took me a while to finally realize the meaning but beautiful, sad and true!
Just saw Ben last night at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco and he brought the house down. He is a possessed gentle maestro that deserved the 3 standing ovations we gave him! He introduced this song saying this is a tribute to his grandparents who both have dementia and sadly have to be reminded about their lives and memories of what they've done.
I feel like it has a lot to do with the co-opting (sp?) of God in modern culture. He used to be revered as the source of all that is good and beautiful, a.k.a. used to know where he put things. Now we've minimized His role in the universe to such an extent we feel like He should be asking us where to find the beauty in the world.
this dude is amazing!

When I saw him live he explained that it was about watching his grandparents suffer through advanced dementia
