@mario14678 because there were deep relationships between muslim dervishes and ortodox priests and they impressed each other greatly. Ottoman Empire accepted any Jew migrant that was forced to leave from Europe etc.

Muslims that read bear and live Quran have the idea of a unification not a discrimination. They believe that there isn't any cultural superiority but the seemingly interesting ways of living. Turkish culture overall is the mixture of the culture of it's minorities for example.
